Unfriendly, unclean and poorly equipped
On arrival we were shown around my the manager of the property, who though nice enough forgot to show us the outside locked utility room. My husband is fluent in Spanish which helped.
The pool is set aside from, and not visible from the villa, along a stony dusty path.
My pillowcase was dirty. When moving the two single beds, a dirty dusty sock was discovered.
When we moved the sofa bed there was dust and a dirty hair and under there.
We had one bath/shower mat for two bathrooms, 1 towel in the kitchen, and no spare toilet rolls. There was no washing up liquid and only 1 dishwasher tablet for a weeks stay.
The pool was cloudy after two days and really univiting.
When the owner arrived, he came up to the pool and said, “What’s the problem then?” He didn’t introduce himself and was pretty rude.
He showed us the utility room so we could finally sweep up the floor and gave us a dish cloth. He also changed my pillowcase, but made quite a show of it.
Overall the accommodation and us as guests felt uncared for.
The village is sweet and sleepy, and the few local cafes and restaurants are nice, with wonderful staff.
