We were surprised that this hotel claimed to be a 4-star hotel and it certainly would not be classified as such in England. Our room was disappointingly small with poor furnishings, for example there were no chairs, no dressing table. The view from the room was over the roof of an air-conditioning unit although we could see the swimming pool. The queues to get food were really unsatisfactory and could have been organised much better without requiring the hotel to supply more staff. When one eventually got a plate of food, it was, however, surprisingly good. It was, however almost impossible to eat at the same time as one's dining companion. On the positive side, the staff throughout the hotel were most pleasant and helpful and always eager to please. We came with a group and maybe other guests would have better rooms and a different "board" status. We found having to wear a wrist-band a bit humiliating and my husband even had trouble getting a glass of water on night. Look carefully at what you are booking!
We chose this hotel because of the sea views and the great location. We had a room on one of the top floors with views of the pool area and the sea. The room was immaculate and was cleaned daily. We stayed B&B and there was plenty of choices available with the biggest freshly made omelettes. There's loads of nice restuarants within easy reach with the centre of the resort a 10 min stroll away. Overall a really nice hotel with friendly staff and a great location.
Very nice hotel. Excellent food and rooms. Helpful staff. Only negative is the sunBeds which are so close around the pool they are almost touching. Lovely short walk to the centre where there are plenty of bars and eating places. easy walking to pine walk. Short bus ride to Alcudia. Our second. Is it to this hotel.
just come back from this hotel, we usually go to Adult only Hotels but this holiday was a late decision and added bonus so we wanted somewhere good value for money. so having been to puerto pollensa a number of times before we decided on this Hotel, It was half term week so we were a little worried it would be swarming with kids, its not that we dont like kids its just at our age now we like a bit of peace and quiet, and although there were a few kids there they were all well behaved. we went All inclusive which is ok but prefer to go Half board we are not massive drinkers and knowing the resort we knew there were plenty of nice places to eat in resort, but anyway check in was pretty quick and all the reception staff were pleasant, i always try to say a few words in Spanish which i think they appreciate, one of the things i hate about All inclusive is having to wear one of those horrible plastic wristbands i hate them. we booked a sea view room which i would recommend because the view is beautiful looking out across the bay to Alcudia and the mountains, and there are some beautiful sunrises and sunsets. the rooms were a little small but its no big deal, the bathrooms are very small so small its the first spanish hotel ive ever stayed in without a bidet? and theres no walk in shower here, its just a shower over the bath, having said that its not a deal breaker, end of the day all you do in there is your business and wash....There is a really nice bar area downstairs and a spa, my wife had a massge whilst here which she really enjoyed but neither of us used the pool, Meals, well breakfast was the usual cooked English or continental, nothing to complain about reall it was a simple affair but then its not the ritz so you should'nt expect gourmet food, Lunch and dinner were fine well cooked food with hot plates and show cooking, which most nights had a choice of fish or meat, 2 nights they had swordfish and 2 nights tuna, both were cooked to perfection, lots of salads and liitle canapes, there is nothing to compalin about really unless like i say your used to the finer things in life. There was entertainment but we never go to it so can not comment, theres a nice big outside pool too, a small complaint is that there is a outside bar by the pool which doubles up as a tex-mex on an evening however it was shut all day everyday which i find strange because the Hotel was quite busy? my wife is not too good at walking because shes got a condition called fibromyalgia, so we used to order a taxi at reception on a morning to take us into the port area, the taxi alwats turned up 5 minutes after ordering and it cost 7 euros but for people with no walking difficulties its a really pleasant 10/15 minute walk along the sea front, it takes 2 minutes from the hotel to the seafront where the beach stretches for miles and the sea is really still prefect for kids. all in all i would say this is a really nice hotel we enjoyed our stay and despite what we said about preferring adult only hotels we would return here in the future, it was also helped by the fact the weather was beautiful in the mid 20s all week except the first day
We stayed at this hotel for a week in October. The hotel was absolutely spotless, the food was excellent, and the staff were really friendly. We will definitely be returning next year. Would definitely recommend.
Excellent holiday ,both me and my wife were very happy with our stay in this hotel, staff very friendly, very good food overall, spotless clean hotel, loved the old town, perfect location.had a room overlooking pool ,great sea view, high floor.
Came here 2nd week in October, arrived and room not ready but told to make use of amenities. Once room was ready made our way to 8th floor, what a view looking out to sea. Room was nice but small, distinct lack of drawer space, but beds were good, kettle and makings provided, TV and wifi. Couldn't fault the restaurant, good choice and varied. Pool was superb and plenty of sunbeds. Staff were brilliant, really friendly. I was surprised to find that there were no hand sanitizers at the entrance to the restaurant?
Stayed here with our family with a 1 and 4 year old. Had a lovely time. Pool was great. Food was ok. Pollensa is lovely. Staff pretty good. Rooms ok but nothing spectacular. I would go back again. If you are expecting 5 stars then this is not for you. If you want a good enough, reasonably priced hotel then this could be for you.
It's a bit like going home. Most of the staff are the same as previous years they are warm and friendly and appear to know everyone and are happy it would seem in their job.The food is lovely, drinks are great, cycling storage is reassuring and that is why we keep going back. The weather for our fortnight in October always seems to be wonderful. we even got a room on the top floor this time with great views. Will we book for next year...of course.
This hotel houses and feeds a lot of people and it does that very well in a completely unpretentious way. We found it spotlessly clean, comfortable if not luxurious, and everything worked well. Air-con, Wi-fi, plumbing all good. Reasonable selection of UK TV, alongside German and Spanish. From our room on the 3rd floor we could hear music from the TV sports bars across the road but it all stopped by about 23:00, as did the in-house entertainment. The buffet is obviously not aimed at fine dining but very efficiently provides a wide range of food, with some choices of meat and fish cooked to order. Nobody need go hungry here, a few veggie options, and a few gluten-free choices too. We did pay for one lunch as an extra to our package which was very good value compared to local restaurants. This is obviously a popular destination for cycling holidays and you get quite used to Lycra all around at breakfast time. Guests seemed to be mostly Anglophones but no particular age group seemed to dominate. The hotel was booked largely by groups and seemed to handle the group arrivals and departures well and without fuss. We did not sample the healthy, sporty and spa facilities ourselves but the pool and its surroundings looked wonderful in the October sun. Kids’ entertainers seemed to be doing a good job with their charges, although we didn’t think the one wearing the Lady Gaga badge was really her. Come to think of it, one of the waiters looked like Philip Green, but it wasn’t his fault anyway. (Can’t have been him, no yacht!) Staff were very friendly and sealed a very good impression of the hotel for us by going to some lengths to retrieve, carefully pack, and post a jacket back home to us after it got left behind. Thank you, Fergus.
