We booked the all inclusive at the Bellevue for our family holiday. We wanted a holiday that would cater for our two boys ages 16 years and 12 years so that they would have the opportunity to meet other children and participate in activities rather than rely solely on us for entertainment. Ten minutes’ walk from the Alcudia’s sandy beach, the Bellevue Club resort had 8 swimming pools, mini golf, tennis and several restaurants. The studios and apartments all have private balconies. Ours was spacious and clean however we had to pay extra if we wanted air conditioning so we opted not to and managed without it. The apartment also had a kitchenette with fridge, hob and microwave. We hardly used it because we had the all inclusive which meant all meals were provided UPSTAIRS at the clubs restaurants - this was the best option to choose because the food choice was better upstairs and there was no queuing for the variety of food on offer. The staff were fantastic polite and courteous. The resort offers a wide programme of entertainment for children and adults, including shows on the large outdoor stage. There are also go karts which you pay extra for, tennis courts and squash courts. Pick a special night for the go karting when it’s on offer - our son loved it and got quality time on the track. The best bit of Bellevue is the Animation Team that does the entertainment. Without fail they were upbeat, fun and provided endless energy and laughs to the holidaymakers. The downside of Bellevue is it’s an open complex so the Lucy lucky people harass you at poolside and you have to be firm with them that you don’t want your hair braided nor do you want to buy cheap watches or fake products. Also you get the usual mass booking of sun beds early morning only for people to make an appearance later that day after a night on the tiles so you have to be clever and get to book your subbed before they do! Plenty of pools to choose from but the main one gets booked up quickly. All in all we enjoyed our break and felt the Animation Team made it for us! Go with an open mind and make the most of it. Some areas in the complex in need of updating and modernisation particularly the welcome foyers.
Now I’m not fussy at all! But had the worst experience here. My wallet was stolen by one of the cleaners, and the reason I know it was one of the cleaners is because it was inside the wardrobe hidden in the middle of my clothes and only the cleaners had access to our apartment. The management did nothing to help, and it ruined my holiday. The hotel itself is ok for what it is, the price you pay. Apartments are dated and very simple. But clean, food was ok, lots of different types of foods on different days, some tasteless some delicious. Pools are good, but very hard to find a sun-bed space. About 10-15 mins walk to the beach. I’d definitely wouldn’t go back to the same hotel though. Staff are not friendly and definitely not helpful. And make sure if you do book, DONT LEAVE ANY VALUABLES!!!!!!
Stayed at BelleVue around 3 times within the last 4 years and i have to say i am really struggling to understand why most people are giving the hotel such stick? Yes its basic to some extent but what do you expect for a budget holiday? I have been in various different months of the year and i can hand on my heart honestly say the pools have ALWAYS been clean, the rooms have always been cleaned at least 4/5 times a week and the staff members try really hard with there English and to try and be helpful. I agree the food isn't exactly 5 star standard, but its what you expect when you book a hotel like this. I personally am a really fussy eater but i have never struggles to find something to eat. The bites i accept can be horrendous, but i have found the Soltan sun cream from boots helps prevent them and keep them at a minimum. Overall i would say this is a perfect holiday for a family who just want a break. Don't let these bad reviews put you off.
We stayed at the Belle Vue in August 2017, 5 adults and 2 children. It all stated wrong -the coach to the hotel took hours and we arrived in the middle of the night. We had to walk for 20/30 minutes with our cases and tired children to get to our block in the pitch dark. The rooms we only set up for 2 people and no air conditioning. We had to have another bed in the children’s roo. As back luck would have it the temperatures were in the mid fifties! They loaned us a fan for 10euros. There is a lot of still, putrid water there so we all got bitten and queued up with other tourists in the resort to buy solutions for the bites. We got bitten every single day, even on the morning we left so came home with really bad bites. We booked in half board not only was the food poor the dining room was not big enough and we had to eatseparately, we ended eating out as did other people. We spoke to others in the resort and it was the same everywhere the worst thing was no air conditioning. We cannot recommend this resort and we will never go back.
We arrived on the Thursday before the end of term break our apartment was great very spacious and clean the pool was only yards away which was great that was the good bit of our holiday we were all inclusive the first 2days service and food was ok after that as it got busy we couldn't get a seat we had to queue out side sometimes in the rain we tried going at different times but it made no difference when we did get in we had to clear our own tables as there wasn't enough staff ,the queues for food was terrible by the time you got served your food was cold and sometimes there was hardly anything left to eat we ended up going out for breakfast as we had children with us so we thought if they got a good breakfast it would last them until the snack bar opened at lunchtime which the food was better than the restaurant a good holiday was spoilt by the terrible food and service..
Family holiday for 6 of us in height of season. Took 20 mins to get from reception to our apartment, dragging our bags. We arrived at night and the pools were full of litter, bins overflowing. Our room was sooo basic. Things broken like sofa beds, plug sockets, fridge door. One of my sons cried with disappointment, which was a bad start. In the morning the sun shone and the rubbish had been (noisily) cleared early on. I rearranged the room to make it nicer and we decided to make the best of it. The pools were all ok and the kids had fun in them. We weren’t all inclusive which I was glad of as the drinks we bought were rubbish and the food looked mediocre. Such a massive place. As far As alcudia is concerned, there were plenty of decent restaurants immediately outside the Belle Vue but the whole place is really expensive. Certainly no cheaper than Brighton to eat out. We got the boat over the lake to the beach (it was a half hour walk otherwise) and the beach was glorious. But, of course, cafes expensive (€5 for 2 cans of drink). Night entertainment pretty dire. I guess I’d give the Belle Vue 4/10.
We stayed here in September 2017, lovely big complex with a choice of pools and bars, rooms spacious but walls are thin can here the lift doors being slammed at all hours. Some bar staff lovely some really couldn't care less, animations team were brilliant special shout out to Mohammed, hotel caters more for children and families. Can't really comment on food as only ate from the snack bar in the afternoon which served burger and chips which was nice enough. Great location for everything. Nighttime entertainment was spot on to something for the children and adults
We booked this holiday for the first time in 2015 for 2 weeks all inclusive.. then we read the reviews and was actually gojng to cancel.. so glad we didnt. We then booked for may 2017 fir 2 weeks but this time we decided to go self catering.. hotel is great plenty for the kids very clean.. the only problem we ever have is the MOSQUITOS there are millions of them especially down at the fun fair.. end up with plenty if bites and that is plastering myself in repellent.. we are booked for August 2018 for two weeks 😀
Upon arriving at the hotel there was a massive queue to check in. we requested a ground floor apartment but none were available. The complex is a vast site with many hotel blocks, it looks as if several hotels have merged together. The walk from reception to out accommodation block was about 15 minutes through the complex. The complex advertises 7 pools, but not all of these were open. When this was queried with reception the man simply shrugged his shoulders and said the pools were not open which meant walking to another overcrowded pool within the complex. We found the rooms to be as basic as you can get. It was also cold in the rooms and I noticed people getting heaters from reception. I went an enquired but was advised that I needed to pay for these and leave a deposit. Thankfully, I we weren't all inclusive as after seeing the dining room it looked horrific and after speaking with other guests they advised that food/drink kept running out and was not replenished. We even spoke to guests in local restaurants who were all inclusive but has chosen to pay to eat elsewhere... The complex may be better in the main season, but I wouldn't recommend going in low season unless you are on a really tight budget. The complex does have some activities for kids such as crazy gold etc, but all in all I would say the location of the complex is not the best.
Great staff, great place. Fantastic location. Had such a lovely holiday here. Entertainment was standard as you’d expect In haven over here, outdoor entertainment area was fab. Overall had a great holiday and would recommend to anyone and come again
