This hotel was chosen for its location. It's not really a beach hotel, more of a town hotel but within reach of the start of the long beach of Alcudia bay. It was comfortable with excellent swimming pool and the food was good too. The buses all pass next to the hotel so one could get to Pollenca or Alcudia town or in fact Palma and airport. Plus the taxi rank was close. Plenty of places within a few hundred metres to enjoy a meal out. Our accommodation had basic kitchen facilities which did not use as only staying 3 nights.
Spent a week there, staff is really nice, helpful, apartment rooms are simple but clean and comfortable. Beach is just across the road as well as the port, shops and restaurants. Do not miss the rooftop view!
We've spent a week here with my family. We booked a regular room and asked for a crib a well, but upon our arrival we've got good news: they changed our room to an apartment for the same price. Awesome! The room was always clean, the personal (receptionists, waitresses) are the best. They are very nice even if they seem to be tired. Sometimes the the dinner was a bit poor this should be improved.
Not really a hidden gem as many people suggested in their reviews. We picked this hotel based on the great reviews, but to be honest, we were little bit dissapointed. Let me get it clear: The rooms are great, clean and spacious. Big bedroom, living room with sofa amd little kitchen? Fantastic. The staff is super nice. No doubt about that. But do you choose your summer holiday to have nice room and staff? I don't think so. It is true that the beach is very close - you just need to cross a street and you are there. But this is the beginning of the beach close to marina and let me tell you, it smells there terrible. We've been told this is the worst part of the beach. You need to walk around 2km to get to a great part of the beach. Also the hotel has a pool - it's not huge, but big enough for everybody. Just be prepared for the noise from the street. Unfortunately it is not that relaxing if you constantly hear cars or bus doors opening. The hotel also has a nice little jaccuzi and sauna that are free to use. The food is good. For a week. You get some variety every night, but it tends to get repetitive, breakfast stays the same. But it is tasty. We also liked a little table with different dishes for dinner every night - if it was sushi, tapas or nice seafood (or chocolate fountain with fruits, mhm!). To sum up, the hotel itself is nice. If you don't plan to stay at the pool or rented a car to travel to different parts of Mallorca to see different beaches, go for it. Also maybe just book breakfast and eat out or sacrifice one-two evenings of your halfboard and try some restaurant, there are plenty in the neighborhood.
This is the second time we have visited this gem. Hotel location right next to Port with easy access to beach and shops. What I love about this hotel is Service given by the staff, should carry more stars for the attention to detail. From the moment you arrive it's relaxed clean and not overrun it's calm and that's reflected in the staff. The rooms are a good size and the cleanest I've stayed in. The Breakfast selection was more than anyone could ask for, we had fresh omelette cooked for us each morning nothing is too much trouble. It's respectable in a way they won't tolerate people placing towels on the sun beds and that shows in the relaxing outside pool area no 6am wake up to grab a bed everyone respects this and it works. Bar sits on the back of pool area and so was great relaxing with cocktails hand served to us round the pool by staff who deliver it with a smile. If your looking for a hotel that's not too big and not overrun that's relaxing then stop here. I can not recommend this place enough the Customer service is 5 star credit should go to the staff who make it what it is. Brilliant hotel for what it offers if you don't like all inclusive massive resort hotels and want something less mental this fits the bill. This was a family holiday and I have nothing to fault perfect. Will recommend to all take a break here.
Similar to so many reviews we found the Aprthotel Maristany the perfect place to stay near the beach in Alcudia (port). The room was one of the largest family rooms we have stayed in and had everything we needed. It was clean on arrival and tidied daily. But by far the most important thing as so many reviewers have aleady noted the staff where excellent, couldn't do enough and always with a smile on their faces. The location a short walk to the beach and shops was ideal. It was also a short hop on a bus (the stop was right outside) to the old town of Alcudia. We would definitely return.
We recently stayed at this hotel having read lots of the reviews below and we really enjoyed our stay. We really liked all the little touches, such as a coffee machine with coffee supplied and available to buy at reception. We really liked the shampoo and shower gel provided free (with a family 2 less things to pack) Even though ours was a 1 bedroom apartment it was large with free air conditioning and plenty of wardrobe space. The bathroom was also very spacious for us 2 adults and 2 late teens. The staff were very helpful and the breakfast buffet was fab. If I had 1 criticism it was that the fruit juices were very sweet.. It would be great if it had a decent bar area other then the café open to the street with very bright lighting and possibly a bigger pool. In terms of the resort, we spent everyday on the beach which was rather expensive with each sun bed being 6.50 per day. We sailed and the kids had windsurf lessons and a few rental days at Wind and friends on the beach at Alcudia Bay. There rates were reasonable and the staff were great. Eating out, we liked the steak house across the road, Muddy's did reasonable food but had a great atmosphere and occasionally live music. There were also some really nice tapas bars up the side streets and a good restaurant at the end of the pier. We used airport transfers, which we have used before and they have been great but this time I guess because of sheer numbers it took 2 1/2 hours to get dropped off!. Luckily it was a quicker transfer back to the airport. Hope this review helps anyone else looking to head to this resort.
We had a fantastic stay at the aparthotel Ferrer Marsitany. It's got a great location, the beach is just across the main road and lots of nice bars and restaurants close to the port. The breakfasts were fantastic too with such a wide and varied choice everything was fresh. The staff were very helpful at breakfast. The reception staff are so welcoming and gave us a cava on check in. The apartments are lovely with lots of amenities, including coffee machine and corkscrew which we often don't get in apartments. The apartments were very clean and maid service is great. There are hairdryers and ironing board to loan from reception for a refundable deposit. The room that was next to us was having renovations done and the noise was minimal. The pool staff were great too and snacks, beer and cocktails were reasonably priced. Reception staff would come round the pool at midday with fruit snacks on cocktail sticks-such a nice touch and very refreshing in the heat 😀 It was my mothers birthday whilst we were there and the staff arranged for a bottle of cava in the room which was much appreciated and such a lovely touch-she was over the moon with the surprise. There was noting too big for the staff to help with they were great. Thanks for a lovely stay we will come back :)
Arrived just after midnight, nice welcome with a glass of Cava. Pleased to find we had been upgraded from a studio room to a spacious 1 bed apartment, which was kept scrupulously clean. Extremely hot the week we were there (17th - 24th June) and we had trouble getting the air-conditioning to work. Spent the first night with the bedroom balcony doors open and got bitten by insects! Reported the aircon problem and were told that someone would come and have a look. Nobody did, all week, but we learned how to make it function - it depended on contacts on the balcony doors and one of these was loose - we managed to get it to make contact with a bit of fiddling about. Decent buffet breakfast, though some surprising offerings on the hot section, broccoli and carrots don't normally feature in a full English, suspect they were leftovers from the previous night's buffet dinner. Being an apartment hotel, we were able to self cater some of the time, either at lunchtime or in the evening, depending on what we were doing, with the other meal eaten out. Great to have our own drinks fridge. Nice pool, just as well as the sea at the beach less than 100m away was not fit for swimming. Disappointing as I had researched 'Alcudia Beach' on tripadvisor and it was well recommended. This section was effectively a lagoon adjacent to the harbour. The first few inches of depth seemed promising with silver fish swimming in clear water, but once over knee height the sea bed became squishy and the water cloudy and smelly, like a sewage outlet, but possibly just a result of the water being stagnant. So no sea swimming. Apart from the pool, there was a nice jacuzzi, which I had to myself when I used it. Apart from this, the hotel was well located with plenty of beachside restaurants, although the better ones were a couple of streets behind. We had rented a car at the airport and used it to see something of Majorca, including the Soller train and tram (starting from Bunyola, where it was easy to park without charge, the attractive peninsulas and the Roman remains of Pollentia. The hotel did not have a car park but we generally found somewhere to park in the one of the local streets - I fear it could be a different story in August! Overall, a nice place to stay for a relaxing early summer holiday.
The Ferrer Maristany is a small to medium-sized, quiet apartment hotel with good food, excellent service and a fantastic location. You're 5 minutes from the beach and port, and local shops, restaurants and bus stops are literally outside. However, it's much more suitable for a relaxing, quiet stay; most of the residents were older German couples, with a handful of young couples with a baby or toddler. Mine were the only teens/older children until the day before we left, when a mother with 2 boys arrived. I had agonised over choosing a hotel as I wanted my 2 teens (17 & 19) to have a good time (this was a rare holiday for us) and at our first breakfast, was worried I'd made a mistake when I saw the other guests! But we had a wonderful stay and the kids were very happy with my choice. We visited family at one of the big complexes one day and I think they would have enjoyed that, but it was a 30 minute journey from the port, and the kind of place you wouldn't really leave unless you had to - not really what I was looking for. There is no children's programme or entertainment at the F/Maristany, which suited me, but if this is something you want, there are plenty of places in the area to choose from. I shared a 1-bedroom apartment with my 17 y/o daughter and 19 y/o son. The bedroom was plenty spacious enough for two, with ample storage space, t.v. and a large balcony with drying rack. My son slept in the living area on one of the sofa beds and was very comfortable (he's 6ft 4"). There is a large wardrobe in here also, so no storage worries for any of us (apart from actually getting kids to put stuff away!) Another daughter bunked on the other sofa for one night. The main living area was spacious enough for us, with a kitchen area suitable for preparing basic meals, dining table & chairs, plus a further dining area on the balcony. The bathroom was lovely and spacious, with shower and bath, toiletries, and plenty of towels. The decor in the public areas of the hotel is very modern and light. The apartments are lovely - clean and attractive - but not so ultra modern. The apartment was cleaned every day and kept spotless, thanks to the wonderful staff, and a little note, chocolates, towel sculptures and rose petals added to the service (a romantic gesture a bit wasted on my daughter and me but a lovely surprise every day!) The food was mainly very good, certainly enough variety to please at breakfast (we didn't have cereals and bacon as they're quite different to what we're used to) and I would certainly recommend the evening buffet, which kept me going back for more on the night I ate in. Food on offer: spaghetti, rice, chicken fillet in cream sauce, beef in cream sauce, fish fillets, pasta dishes, fresh vegetable choice, plus desserts, salads, etc. The evening meal is competitively priced, as one drink is included. This made it better value than eating out, although my teens preferred to get out and about. I noticed that families with very young children used the restaurant a lot for convenience as it wasn't crowded. I'm not sure the menu changes much but I very much enjoyed my meal and in future, would probably eat in at least a couple of times during the week. The light, spacious reception area has a bar, leading to the restaurant and outdoor pool, and there's a further bar behind the pool area, so plenty for those who like relaxing in the sun. This area backs on to the main road via a high fence/gate so you're right in the heart of things. The pool itself was clean and spacious enough for swimming, with a small children's area separated off at one end, and we usually managed to get sun loungers. My teens are well-behaved so we used the pool without disturbing the peace, although some may have been a little alarmed the first day we appeared with a large inflatable. We had the pool virtually to ourselves as most of the guests preferred to sunbathe - amazing! My son made occasional use of the weights room and we had no competition for the indoor jacuzzi. This was he end of May though - the facilities might well be busier in the summer months. The reception staff were outstanding - nothing was too much trouble, and they advised my older daughter on the new cheap bus service to the airport - nine euros. I caused a bit of awkwardness when we arrived as it turned out I had booked two apartments on two different sites, by mistake (I don't get out much) but they were lovely about it. The whole atmosphere was calm and relaxing, with no screaming children or loud, beery shouting. if this is what you're looking for, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Ferrer Maristany. I would happily return in the future.
