We spent two nights in this hotel, and enjoyed it a lot. Staff were helpful in recommending places to get some stuff, and were very welcoming upon arrival. Rooms were very clean, had a little kitchen set to cook, and very spacious. We tried not using the air conditioning the first night, and just slept with the balcony door open, beware there are mosquitoes! The bus stop is a couple minute walk away, along with several restaurants, markets, and stores. Highly recommended
we were there for the Triathlon. Very nice and clean place, close to the beach. Fantastic staff, fluent in german and english. Very tidy. Nice pool area and a fantastic breakfast. Everybody was very helpful. We will surely be back
We have been to Alcudia sevral times, usually staying in resort hotels and all inclusive. But as our son is 11 we choose this hotel due to the location as wanted to eat out more and explore Majorca by car and bus. The hotel had a welcome surprise, room was quite large and double balcony - a small kitchen and table as well as flat screen TVs in both main room ad bedroom - also alot of storage space. We liked being in centre of Alcudia(port) and taxi and bus stop all 2 mins walk. Also loads of shops and places to eat. The hotel pool is not heated and we did not choose this hotel for the pool area. The beach is just across the road- 2 mins walk and we spent time here, rather than the pool. The hotel staff all very friendly and as a small hotel it was a home away from home - exactly what we wanted. The bar area as such is only small and we did not drink at the hotel. So, not a hotel of you are looking to stay in around hotel bar/pool all day and drink! - But hotel has loads of bars close by it worked for us as wanted to explore and try out different places to eat and drink. There is also several little supermarkets all within 2 mins walk. Taxi to old town Alcudia is 5 euros and takes 5 mins. Bus to Palma and Porta Ploenca just across street - buses on half hour. Hotel was not 100% quiet as in centre, but we enjoyed the bustle of watching people go by and it was quiet at night. No load music or entertainment at this hotel,The hotel was used by alot of cyclists and has bike rental shop attached as well as its own laundry shop. Overall, a great location, rooms very clean and staff came every day - breakfast had a good ranage of items and as small hotel you dont get the "cattle stampede" of the larger hotels. Staff all firendly and there is alittle gym and sauna / jucuzzi that we used.I would come back to the hotel again as offered good value,a great location and exceeded our expectations to be honest.
This aparthotel is very conveniently situated for everything in the resort. Rooms are very clean and comfortable and buffet breakfast was good. Quiet for sleeping despite central location. We very much enjoyed our stay.
We have stayed at this hotel three times in the winter and can thoroughly recommend it. Port d'Alcudia is very quiet in winter and an excellent base for walkers and cyclists. The hotel is very friendly with excellent facilities, especially the kitchenette in the rooms and the launderette. The staff are exceptionally helpful and friendly. We will certainly go back there again.
Just back from a 3 night stay at the Maristany with 7 'middle-aged' male friends on a cycling break and really can't fault the hotel in any way. Our room was clean and spacious enough even with four men sharing the apartment. Every member of staff was friendly, helpful and efficient - the evening receptionist/barman even insisted on doing the cleaning up when one of our number had a little red wine mishap! The buffet breakfast was really good, plenty of all the required items, 'English' hot, continental cold plus cereals, fruit, juices, coffee etc etc. The dinner buffet while perhaps not quite as exceptional, as reviewed below, it was 'safe', but still sufficient quality and quantity to inexpensively replace all the lost calories. Our tour leader got us a great price - presumably because it was March (only high 60s! - perfect cycling weather) - but even if paying a lot more in midsummer, this would still have been a bargain and great choice of hotel. Would absolutely recommend this hotel and hope to return!
Enjoyed 4 nights here with my husband We had half board. Food is plentiful with a great breakfast buffet. Dinner is also good, but food is a bit "safe" with grilled meats with salads and veg hoped for a paella as we were in Spain but ended up buying it in town! Room was comfy but we couldn't get the TV to work for English programmes as they had a satellite problem it was fine if you were German though as they had loads of choice! Hotel was just around the corner from the port so it was very nice although you shouldn't go before April as the resorts are mostly closed during the early season Having said all of this we would return as we enjoyed ourselves very much
Myself, my husband and daughter spent four days on a mini training break. We hired bikes, ( pro cycle hire shop at Port Polenca). We hired the bikes on line in advance before our trip. Don't leave it to chance, especially before peak holiday times. Mark was very friendly and helpful. We also went swimming at the local swimming pools at Alcudia and Polenca. both pools had 25m pools, good clean facilities, with friendly staff. Check out opening times for public sessions as they close for swimming lessons.
We stayed at the Ferrer Maristany for 6 days in January – at a time when the town is a morgue and the hotel very very quiet. Overall, our experience was positive. When we arrived, we found our (modest sized) room smelt of smoke. ‘Not a problem sir: please take this (VERY large) apartment instead’. Excellent service. And service generally was good though not quite as upbeat and warm as we have experienced in many places. Our room was comfortable, clean (like the rest of the hotel), and well-serviced daily. The TV channels on offer were not great for we English-speaking BBC lovers but the Australian Open tennis with German commentary was available and filled a gap. Food was plentiful at breakfast and dinner and reasonably priced. Quality was good – but the hot food was let down because the buffet system needs a lot of attention to ensure it remains warm, especially in Winter. One final gripe: when we arrived at Port d’Alcudia, the hotel was very difficult to find using our GPS. Little wonder. The hotel details, supplied by the hotel itself, gave an incorrectly spelt address. The street is Mareperla not Madre Perla. (Have a look at the address above on TripAdvisor and you’ll see that is wrong too!). And one final remark: we paid a really low price for our room, so whilst I would rate this hotel average to good, I’ve awarded it **** to reflect excellent value for money.
