Apartments are a disgrace. Staff are even worse. Beware they charge a deposit then make up that you break stuff so they don’t have to return it. Avoid at all cost. You get what you pay for. Cleaning staff run and get manager if they have to actually clean your room and he comes and fines you too. Fines galore. Should be closed down.
Apartments Deya are very good located, everything is near by. Beach, bars, shops and a restaurant. Room with perfect view, with big balcony, nice and clean. People were nice to me and very helpful. Looking forward to come back.
We spent here two lovely weeks with my friend. They have just renovated the room so everthing was clean, fresh and new. The location is perfect, you have the bars, restaurants, shops and the beach right outside of your door. I highly recomend it!
Stayed here in October for 4 nights at a cost of £94 so I don't want to be too critical. Staying late in the season the clientele was a mixture of oldies like myself and my wife, with a few very well behaved younger groups. However in high season I can imagine this hotel being club 18-30. Room was spacious, fairly clean and bed was adequate in comfort. There was a cigarette burn in the bed spread but hey ho at this price can you really complain. Staff were friendly good internet in reception. Would I come back? At this price, out of season, then yes. For kids coming in high season then it's great.
We arrived on the 24th Oct and depart in 2 days time. Family of 5 room 1.. 2 adults and 1 14 year old ... room 2 .. 2 adults.. Remember... This is apartments not a hotel and many people are expecting a hotel service in a self catering apartment Pros.. Lovely staff.... happy to help and quick to resolve anything they can, we didn't have a kettle, we got given one straight away... extra blankets required, again got these straight away, always polite and service with a smile. Asked for fresh towels, again done straight away without issues, some people think you shouldn't have to ask, but it's not exactly a big deal is it... a quick trip to the reception Brilliant location for the beach and local pubs and restaurants, fab views from the balconies... Some of our party had to be moved due to electrical issues, again no issue at all for the staff... Swimming pool area is fab, lots of space and sunbeds, nice deep pool and inflatables allowed...a bit of music round the pool would be good but nobody objected to us using a Bluetooth speaker. Limited poolside bar Cons.. Rooms are very basic with very basic utensils however, we didn't come on holiday to spend time inside the apartment or even cook... we never even turned the hob on once! Poolside bar does not do tea or coffee, so not good if you don't want a cold drink or alcohol at 11am... It can be noisy as you are right on the strip and the apartments cater for a lot of young people... who can be noisy at 4am... but this did not spoil our holiday... ........................................................... Not somewhere we would bring young kids high season as would probably be very busy and rowdy. Overall we have had, and are still having a great time, a fantastic cheap and cheerful place to be.
Three of us adults stayed here for a week. First room was on 8th floor. It stank with a blocked sewer smell and had no bedding for the 3rd person. Hadnt been cleaned and sheets and pillowcases had previous guests make-up on them. Cooking utensils extremely minimal and no kettle or toaster nor remotes for TV or Air-con. Complained to unhelpful staff next morning. Moved to second room on 7th floor. Marginally better but also dirty and missing basics. Electricity went out in that apartment that evening. Told Reception staff who just shrugged and offered no assistance. As guests we were made to feel as if we were a nuisance. Finally had to move rooms for a third time. This one was on first floor and it seems that these are the ones used for the website. They are slightly more modern and a bit cleaner. In the full week we got no clean bedding nor towels or toilet rolls despite asking at the desk. The beds were also home to bed bugs. Myself and my daughter are covered in horrendous bites and itching like mad from day 2 of the holiday and still now almost a week after arriving home it is unbearable. Yes it is cheap and I am fed up hearing "you get what you pay for". I paid for basic yes but I expect basic to be clean, hygienic and fit for purpose. These apartments are not. There is only a 2 ring cooker, a small fridge, no table or chairs to eat at only the one on the balcony which is dirty and covered in cigarette burns. Staff are extremely rude, arrogant, unhelpful and belittling. It is a party area so expect noise from the bars and drunk guests, not ideal for families with young children. I am used to cheap and cheerful but this was most definitely not cheerful. The only positive it has is the proximity to the beach and supermarket. During our stay we witnessed many guests complaining about the dirt and having no towels etc. Some moved to the Portofino hotel. There is no WiFi in the rooms only at the Reception area. We went to the beach where WiFi is free. We didnt have to pay the €100 deposit we read about as we aren't teenage party animals but all guests pay a tax on arrival. Ours was €25 in total approximately for the week. Pool facilities are fine, gym is very dated and the pool bar quite expensive. I have read the reviews which stated their stay was excellent. I genuinely cannot see how. If I could rate this place zero I would. I am not fussy and really easily pleased but this place is a joke.
What a holiday and what an experience it was mine and my partners first holiday together and it couldnt of went any better the beach was a five minute walk away the apartment was very clean the pool area was beautiful also with a lovely bar i would definately recommend thankyou jet2 holidays for making this possible
Just returned from Ponsa which i love, had seen mixed reviews on the Deya but thought we'd give it a chance, especially as the price for the week was very cheap, unfortunatly we got what we paid for,our room was on seventh floor and great views but the room was shabby paint peeling from walls n ceiling along with stains from what i dont know, there was a unpleasent smell in the room too coming from the bathroom/toilet, the shower tray was blocked and overfowed,, the furniture was dated and uncomfortable with ground in stains on breakfast bar and the coffee table looked as if it had been repeatedly stabbed with a blade of some kind, the freezer box was iced over , the top of it was cracked and dirty,as was the cutlery and crockery, in the bedroom the sheets had ground in stains on them even though they had been washed and floor was unswept, along with there being no remotes for TV and air-con. We decided to percivere and make most of it but on our second night there was a heavy storm and we woke to a water feature running down the balcony doors on the inside all over the floor, four people from hotel staff came to investigate and moved us to another apartment with no apology. The new apartment was not much better, it was dirty, stained no shelves in the fridge, no remotes, what looked like woodworm in cupboards and drawers in kitchen, the spare pillows were so stained with what looked like sweat stains, on the balcony was shards of broken glass. All this as well as not seeing a chambermaid the whole week suppling our own toilet paper and when brought to the attention of the guys on reception they were uninterested, rude and unhelpful, one guy in particular. We were out our appartment more than in it to make best of our holiday. This review may seem long winded and believe it or not we are not fussy people, but i felt compeled to write this as it was so give other people and honest review. The only good thing about The Deya is where it is situated, its ideal for everywhere. We shall be back in Ponsa in March but not at The Deya.
Read many negative reviews but gave it a try. The rooms are big enough for a couple but the kitchen equipment was sparse. There were no bowls so we had to buy some as we are both porridge eaters at breakfast time. There were no mugs only small cups with no saucers so we went out and bought some mugs. The fridge was dirty inside and had a hole in the bottom and in dire need of defrosting which probably hadn't been done for many years. The microwave didn't work and this was replaced very quickly, also the kettle didn't work so that was replaced. We tried using the kettle the following morning and that one didn't work either, we reported this again and received a replacement two days later. We had to request clean linen for the beds after five days as I believe this is long enough to wait and it was done on our last but one day, the top sheet on one of the beds had about ten cigarette burns, I can see why they ask for a deposit from the younger guests, my wife smokes but never in the room. We did have a good week at the resort and due to the proximity of the hotel to the beach etc we would probably go back there but the hotel has room maintenance issues which need to be addressed.
My girlfriend and I have stayed here 2 yrs in a row, love being so close to the main strip, bars and restaurants on your doorstep, yea there’s noise and room cleaning not all the time but it does state that on the info of these apartments, bedrooms are the back, so less to hardly any noise, We had maids in every day and clean towels too, We plan to come back in April/May 2018 and we can’t wait! Thank you Deya apartments :)
