We went for a week with our 17 year old daughter and 13 year old son. We felt this was an excellent hotel. The rooms were very clean and cleaned nearly every day unless we put a do not disturb sign on the door. The complex was clean and kept clean all of the time. The staff were friendly. We eat at the hotel one evening and the food was excellent and good sized portions. My one gripe would be, despite the signs saying sun lounges cannot be reserved, people still went down, reserved the lounges and then disappeared for ages., and most of the people doing it were BRITISH. We would definitely stay again. The beach is approx 150 yards away and is an excellent place, though it does get deep very quickly if you have young children.
We book here every year, sometimes twice a year. Three weeks back we booked a villa for a family gathering. However, on the Wednesday before we were due to leave on Sat 12th, my wife fell in the street and fractured a hip. She was operated on the Thurs and I had to stay behind so needed accommodation for myself and my wife when she was discharged from hospital. I rushed along to Bahia and asked Isabel if she could fix us up. They had just ONE studio vacant from a late cancellation. Ida (clerk) removed it from the website to avoid it being booked online while my insurer confirmed the deal. During the next couple of days Rosa and Isabel went beyond the call of duty in assisting us in every way until our departure this week. We cannot thank all three of them enough, and God willing we'll be back to see them next May. Bahia Pollensa ticks all the boxes.
Just returned from the Bahia after a 2 week stay with 5 of us. Overall the accommodation was very good, we had an apartment and a studio between us and both had been recently refurbished to a good standard and were very comfortable. The pool is split into 3 - a kids pool, one you can stand up in and one large but deep pool. The sun beds were quite tightly spaced around the pool but there is a spacious grass area to sit on (with lots of shade). There is a pool bar which sold snacks etc and also main bar is also open all day with a window to the pool area. There is an on site shop which had all the essentials which was handy. The staff were all very friendly and always willing to help. We stayed half board and whilst the food was perfectly acceptable, the selection was smaller than we have experienced on previous holidays. Also the evening entertainment at best ok, generally either a singer or bingo. Location wise it is perfect for the beach (which is really nice), about a 3 minutes walk. It is a long walk to main centre (about 25 minutes) which is quite a trek in 34 degrees. Pollensa itself is a great resort and has lots of great restaurants and bars, but with a relaxed atmosphere (no people trying to drag you into places here). Overall the Bahia is a very nice hotel and with a couple of tweaks (evening meal choice and entertainment) good be a great hotel. You just need to be prepared for quite a bit of walking if you want to get the best out of the resort however.
This is a 3 star spanish hotel which looks to be built in the 80's, they look to be updating rooms (which are classed as 'premium rooms'), the older rooms are fine - just dated! We were part of a large group and got a one bedroom self catering apartment which also had two sofa beds (a camp bed can also be suppiled). The kitchen area was just an enlarged steel sink with a fridge, kettle microware and toaster - we found it ok due to not cooking - using it for breakfast / snacks. The rooms and Hotel were very clean, the pool was great (only draw back was the depth of the larger pools - 5ft and 7ft) so our daughter was out of her depth, she spend a lot of time in the baby pool! The sunbeds are packed in and there were always people putting towels out at 7 in the morning (to get the best beds). Generllly there were always sunbeds available! The buffet was good for the price, normal selection of salads, meat, ect. The best thing about this hotel were the staff (all which were great) especilly the girls on reception and Samuel (one of the waiters)!!
We have just spent a delightful week here, possibly the best family holiday we have had. The location of the hotel was great. Less than 5 minutes to a gorgeous beach and a lovely short walk to the all of the restaurants and shops. The staff in the hotel were really friendly and helpful and were on hand 24 hours a day. The apartment was ideal with plenty of space for 5 of us (4 being adults). We had a balcony overlooking the pool which again was lovely and I would recommend. It was cleaned regulary and fresh towel left every time. The pool area was great and felt like a very relaxed area. The usual problem of towels on the sun loungers did mean that we often couldn't get a lounger but there was space still close to the pool to settle on the grass. We were self catering so only ate in the hotel once and it was very nice. The reception area was nice for typical teenagers to safely sit and use the available wifi!!! Overall the hotel felt like a lovely, relaxed a safe environment for families. It would however have been nice to have had more evening entertainment or even just music playing in the bar area by the pool. This was the case one evening and it made the atmosphere better. I would recommend this hotel and we are highly likely to go back. 2 adults, 2 older teenagers and one child all very happy.
Booked a premium apartment and got a corner 232 apartment with an ensuite, so our 2 teenage boys had to come through our room to use the bathroom. I asked for another apartment as this is not what was advertised or what I had paid for. I was told by the reception staff that all the apartments were the same! Wouldn't let me speak to the manger and no other rooms available anyway. Following day I asked the apartment next door if they had separate bathroom facilities and they showed me around the apartment. The staff had lied to me and immediately I asked again for another room. Different staff on this time, and luckily she was lovely and accommodating. Had to move to a lower grade apartment just for the facility of the toilet and was given a bottle of wine in the room. It doesn't make up for the fact I paid a lot of money peak season for a 1 bed apartment and wasn't offered any compensation whatsoever. We had a horrible 2 nights in the 2nd floor apartment with people dragging furniture above , shouting laughing banging, running around knocking doors until 5am. If you are going to stay here make sure you book a premium apartment on the top floor which is 3 stories high. Apartments are lovely clean and modern location is great there is nothing going on in evenings for older teens and adults. We stayed 4 nights and only yoga in the pool no evening singers etc.pool area clean but had to lay on the grass , no beds left! . I won't be staying here again, feel I've been ripped off!
We absolutely loved this hotel. We stayed for 11 nights and had the best holiday. We had one of the refurbished rooms which was extremely clean, bright and airy, the cleaners come most days. We are a family of 2 adults and 3 children and found the 1 bedroom apartment spacious enough for us. We had an apartment overlooking the pool. The food was lovely, very Spanish, a good variety of fish, grilled meats, vegetable dishes and salads every night plus a different paella dish each night. The drinks were reasonably priced and their pina coladas were gorgeous. The pools are great the kids loved them. We never had a problem finding a sunbed each day even when we came back to the hotel mid afternoon from a day trip. There is a lovely relaxed, family atmosphere around the pool. The beach is a 2 minute walk. In my opinion the hotel is in the best part of the town, where it is much quieter, with a lovely beach. The bus to the port and Pollensa is very close. We used this a lot as we found the walk a bit too much for the kids although this may have also been due to the heatwave making it uncomfortable. We would definitely stay here again.
Staying here at the minute and can't say a bad word about this hotel excellent for young families and also us older foggies Far enough away from the bus to be quiet yet close enough to town to ether walk or get taxi cheaply 5€ each way. Some excellent resteraunt just on the beach All round a great trip so far
Spent two weeks on half board with my wife and two young kids 4. Rooms basic and beds very uncomfortable but does do the job. Bathroom dated but shower very good. Half board food I thought was excellent with a decent range over the two weeks especially if you like fish. The hotel itself was quite basic and but I do believe it was undergoing an upgrade whilst we were there. The hotel staff at this place work their socks off, and whilst they are pleasant enough, I think the company who own the hotel gets their moneys worth out of those who work there. It was the same staff on all the time and I counted about 18 including cleaners. Anyway, pool area was okay and my kids loved the small pool. The usual sunbed wars started early on but the staff knocked that on the head as they just got a shopping trolley and put the towels lying on beds before punters got there. It was brilliant. We just stood till they done their checkout and we checked in. I would stay there again. The location is excellent and very quiet. The whole resort is quiet which we love. I hope the hotel has been updated to a decent standard, particularly with the amount we paid to stay. I would have gave this review a very good rather than average if it just had the minor improvements. That said, courteous staff, rooms clean, enjoyed by all of us and would go again.
Can only review on accommodation as we were booked on self catering basis. The interior of the hotel is a little dated, our room was spotlessly clean and roomy, although the teal coloured paint was a touch oppressive, and made the entrance to the room on first experience a bit dark and gloomy, our bed linen and towels were changed after day two, which was great, The staff were very friendly, helpful and efficient, helping us with the computer, and even reopening the shop to allow my husband to purchase some items
