We visited these apartments during May 2017; my mum, my three teen children and me. We booked January and were expecting the standard base from which to conduct our holiday but we were very pleasantly surprised. Check in was easy, greeted by very friendly staff who couldn’t do enough to help. Any queries we had were dealt with promptly and cheerfully, exactly what we needed after an early start! Room was clean, tidy with a balcony overlooking the back of the apartments. It was clean and comfortable, definitely more upmarket than most apartments of this category. Food and drinks on site are of good quality, great for a snack. Location is superb, 20 minutes stroll to the port and less than 5 minutes to the beach. Restaurants were good, we had three vegetarians in our party and the food wasn’t at all samey. Bus stop is 5 minutes walk from the apartments, we went into Palma for the day and it cost around €30 for all of us as a return. Pool was kept lovely and clean; only real gripe about the place was that towels being left on sun-loungers weren’t addressed by the pool attendant if it meant challenging a man about it meaning that some loungers remained covered all day despite them not being in use. Overall, really impressed with this place and will be returning at some point.
Stay at the Bahia in September all staff where very polite & helpful, we stayed for 7 nights, place was nice & tidy we stayed self catering so can’t comment on food, have already booked to go back in September half board so looking forward to that, if I didn’t have a nice time I wouldn’t be going back,....lovely place see yous September
The staff are friendly and helpful but the furnishings in the rooms, the restaurant and the bar are old and need updating. The food options are limited and not particularly enticing. The coffee is very poor.
I was pleased with every aspect of this friendly hotel. We spent most of our time out cycling the wonderful island. I had a rest day and had a good time round the pool. It has a small shop in the basement. The best thing was the buffet meals. Good tasty meals for €16. Try it you will be back.
Great size rooms with air conditioning, well serviced throughout our stay. Large pool area with plenty of sunbeds. Restaurant and bar have plenty of choice and well priced and good quality. All staff very helpful and pleasant to deal with. Top choice if you want a well looked after self catering holiday away from the bustle of the centre of town, but a very pleasant 15-20 mins stroll along the front gets you into the Port. Will definitely be returning.
Me, my 14yr and 17yr went for 1 week end of Sept to early October. It was hot but bearable. Gorgeous views and lovely hotel with friends and helpful staff. We had the standard studio on getting with large balcony. It had 2 spacious bedrooms, 1 of which had the open plan kitchen diner. The kitchen had a toaster, kettle and microwave as well as hob with plenty of cups plates and cutlery. There were 3 large wardrobes and a good size bathroom with shower in bath. There was no bath mat and no fan. The room lights were too low. But the maids cleaned and changed the towels provided nearly daily. There is a secure area full of safes. Reception was large but I didn't understand the ripped curtains on show. Lounge is adequate to relax. Food was repetitive. Pool was deep for us as we like to feel the ground. We are 5.2 and had to tip toe. Taxi is cheap, €5 to town, €6 to Alcudia. Bus stop is a short walk away and stops at the main square. Laundry is too expensive between €11 in town and €17 for a small bag in the hotel. Beaches are stunning and promenade is a relaxing. Seafront and square restaurants are expensive. Don't waste money on Alcudia open bus trip it's boring with info on how old hotels are and how much square with the population rate etc. Alcudia is better to discover on foot. Marine land and Aqualand were really good. Will stay in main palma next time 😊
Great hotel. Our rate included free breakfast which was even better. Within walking distance of the beach, 5 minutes. Close to restaurants, snack stands, mini marts. Hotel has its own restaurants. Staff was friendly and very helpful. The rate was great for the location. We loved Mallorca . Highly recommend it
Spent a very relaxing holiday here beginning of September. The transfer was fine through rural scenery about 1.5 hours and did not feel too long at all. We were one of the first drop offs and had a friendly greeting at reception. I had placed a room request in advance for a room with bath on quiet side high up and I had had a response prior to arriving that it could be accommodated which it was. The apartment was basic as expected but we loved the huge balcony terrace and spaciousness - could enter either the bedroom or lounge area from the balcony. It was lovely to be able to have a cup of coffee/tea and nibbles on the terrace and relax before going out or in the evening. Functional self catering facilities helpful to have the fridge to store drinks. Spacious lounge area and plenty of cupboard space. Could request hairdryer, iron etc from reception. Liked feeling it was our own apartment for the stay. My bed was fine but the other bed had seen better days but when we asked we got a mattress topper which was fine. Had wonderful views of sea and trees from the room. Was pleased with cleanliness of hotel and room - towels and sheets changed regularly. Just some details in bar area where lamps weren't straight and had seen better days could improve over all look. Found all the reception staff to be very helpful, also waiting staff are friendly. The hotel is in the quiet area of Pollensa nearer to the Alcudia end and is further than I thought to the port maybe half hour walk - can get a taxi 5 euro. And even further to the pine walk area which we did once - maybe another half hour- seemed like more but worth it in the end and can stop off at the lovely waterside restaurants/cafes and do some shopping in the many stores. I preferred our beach in the end which is only about 5 minutes walk from the hotel - so convenient. Plenty of facilities there also- a beach café, pretty picnic table area, Also toilet and changing facilities although this is 50 cents a pop. Also the sun loungers are 10 euro after 3pm and e15 before. Lovely long wide beach beautiful views of the bay and mountain backdrop, sandy beach easy to get into the water- also has a jetty to walk out on. Had a big fun inflatable platform for kids further out to sea. Pollensa itself is very pretty and great place to stay. Hotel has a supermarket in basement which is very handy especially for lugging up big bottles of water in lift and great on arrival. There is also a spar along the seafront as well which has loads of produce and fresh quiche/pastries for picnics. The pool area is large - the pool is very deep apart from the fenced off kids area so for swimmers only - there is a lifeguard. Be careful with the step in bit to the pool as this is also deep which I didn't realise maybe should be marked ! There is a beach bar for drinks snacks. There was aqua gym on when I was there 3 times a week although in the end did most of it out of the water as the water is so deep. The instructor is very good and also does lots of the other entertainment activities and is especially good with the children - was very impressed. The aqua class was really good, a proper workout to music using the swimming floats and inspiring to carry on with fitness. The hotel put on some entertainment in the evenings most days either bingo or a singer-thought the sunday singer was good and we were glad we stayed in rather than go out that night. The entertainment usually ended about 10pm so the hotel is quiet in the evenings which was fine with us. They have games air hockey, driving games , pool I think/table tennis and relaxed bar area. Can use free wi fi in bar area have to pay 8euro a day if want it in the room. Foodwise I am not usually fussy but found the standard at the beginning to be quite poor which coloured my impression for the rest of the week- we were half board - however the barbecue night was good and enjoyed the evening with stuffed peppers and veg - breakfast was fine especially liked having fresh kiwi fruit in the morning. Was nice to be able to eat outside by pool area. Would go self catering if came again as there are lots of restaurants by the port area and also 2 very good restaurants of reasonable value literally round the corner from the hotel. Transport wise- can get a bus from 5-10 mins down the road to go to Pollensa and Alcudia for trips. Hotel staff helpful when asked about trips and there are timetables on the wall. Also can enjoy boat trips from the port. The hotel is quite secluded with trees and flowers along the perimeters and only a few floors so fits in the landscape which I thought was good to not spoil the views. Overall found this to be a quiet, relaxing, family friendly hotel and was glad I had chosen this one out of any others in the resort I had been previously considering. If was going to come back to the area would probably stay again. Not sure whether to mark average or very good - our time there was very good to excellent but the property is basic - no frills as advertised.
This complex is a no frills budget hotel in the very expensive resort of Puerto Pollensa. We only paid £250 each for the week on a Thomas Cook package deal and were pleased with our holiday for what we paid. However if we had paid £400 to £500 for the week like some people had we spoke to, then we would have felt very differently indeed. My only real complaint was that the pool/snack bar had already closed for the season in September when the complex was still fully booked. Therefore you could only buy food in the main restaurant which was overpriced and very average at best.
We stayed here the first 2 weeks of September and apart from some disappointing weather (which the hotel has no control over) the holiday was great. Staff very friendly, especially Rosa on reception and the young man on the bar who called everyone amigo. Room and self catering facilities were fine. Happy with every aspect.
