We couldn't be any happier with the hotel, we've had lazy mornings (sometimes not getting up until 11am) and found a sunbed next to the pool easily. The rooms are big, clean and modern, with memory foam super king beds with soft pillows. The bathroom lovely, I'm now wanting to go home and redecorate! We had a problem with our air-conditioning not working the first night, but within 10 minutes of telling reception it was fixed. Entertain staff are lovely! Lots of different actives like rifle shooting, yoga, aqua relax, bingo etc and no pressure to join in if you want a real chill out. Bar staff couldn't do more for you either, coming to your table to ask if you want a drink in the evenings and all sorts. Lots of range of drinks to have with all inclusive, cocktails and cava included! And there hasn't been a day where I've not been able to eat at any point, the food is delicious! (if all else fails there's a burger king and lidl 2 minutes down the road. We came in the height of summer having suspicions it may be busy, but we were pleasantly surprised. I couldn't recommend the hotel enough! There's lots to do in walking distance, we loved the old town, it's like you're walking down little streets in Italy, gorgeous! My other half even made it more special by taking a knee. It's been a life changing holiday!
Just returned from an 11 night all inclusive stay at this hotel. A lovely, relaxing holiday. Customer service was excellent, all the staff were very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. A special mention to the entertainment team, Mauro and Mariela, they came round to visit everyone and to invite people to join in their activities. They were not pushy, if you wanted to join in or just relax by the pool they made you feel welcome. A perfect holiday for a quiet, relaxing break.
So when we booked this we were told that it was 4* platinum. Unfortunately Thompson have miss sold it as I'm sure you've seen many other reviews that saw that same like I have. I was so worried about coming as it's not cheap to go on holiday and thought it'd be a waste. However wrong I was because I'm on day 5/7 and it's been a wonderful holiday. The rooms are lovely and so modern, all very clean and bright and up to date thanks to new to refurb! Pool area is very nice and big, can always get a sun bed too. Coming down at 9 most mornings there's loads to choose from. By midday you're less likely to find a good spot. Pool snacks are great too ranging from burgers to veggie wraps, onion rings, fruit pots, nachos and toasties! Can not fault the food. The past few years I've been to bigger hotels with 3 islands of food and a long buffet table with fresh meats cooking so this is definitely smaller but there's still so much choice. Food always hot and always tasty! Breakfast is definitely the best past for me. Always fresh eggs being cocked and pancakes are on the go too. Drinks are good too however cocktails are ready mad which is disappointing but they still taste good! This hotel has the best staff members! They're all happy and bright and make your day better. Thank you Mauro and Mariella for being great staff members- always come around to get you to join in activists, remember your names and speak to you in the evenings as they walk around! Can't fault the customer service. Entertainment is ok. I'm not a huge fan anywhere I go but if it's your thing you may enjoy it. Bar shuts at 11:30 and they like you to be gone around midnight which is a bit rubbish if you want to sit outside a bit longer. Overall a very enjoyable holiday and I would definitely return as it's very modern spacious and peaceful!
We had a fabulous stay here, all inclusive for 2 weeks for my birthday. All inclusive is definitely worth the money, we had every drink possible, multiple cocktails every night and it was so much fun! Bar staff were brilliant and had even memorised our order by the third day, constantly going out of their way for us. Restaurant staff were fabulous, always smiling and friendly and up for a chat. Really enjoyed the a la carte option also and went twice! They gave a different menu the second time which was just as good and great to have the variety! We loved the spa and had chocolate body scrubs done. Refurb is still ongoing in a good way! The hotel are listening to everything everyone says, the menu changed while we were there and drinks are cheaper! Always a sunbed available, even when you go down at 2pm! Pool is great and entertainment team throughout the day are fabulous! We loved it all! Evening entertainment wasn't that great, but there were definitely some good ones, the moonlight white party was the best! We miss it already!
We have just arrived home from an amazing stay at Alua Soul. We stayed for 4 nights and could not find a single thing wrong with this hotel. We arrived late on Monday night so we missed dinner, however the hotel had set out a cold meal of cheese, meats, salad and bread so we did not go hungry. The rooms are lovely.. (the beds are huge), very clean and everything you would need for a stay. The bed sheets were only changed once whilst we were there but we had no problem with that, and as we left our towels on the shower floor, they were changed every day. The food is great, you will never go hungry! Lots of choice for breakfast, lunch and dinner in the restaurant, as well as snacks, ice creams etc at the pool bar. There's loads of drinks to choice from as well from the pool bar, the ones on the menu that have Al next to are the ones included for all inclusive. There's also a self service machine for soft drinks, tea/coffee and beer that is on all the time. There was entertainment at night 3 out of the 4 nights we were there, the quiz night, Spanish dancing and the white party (which was very good)! The hotel is just a short walk to the beach, and if you turn left out of the hotel and then right there are hundreds of shops. We couldn't believe how many shops there were and just how far they stretched! Overall we had a wonderful holiday, would not hesitate to return and would definitely recommend you visit! (I also emailed the hotel in advance as it was my partners 30th birthday whilst we were there and they left us a cold bottle of champagne in the room on the day which was a very nice gesture!)
The hotel has recently been refurbished and it shows - the hotel sparkles especially the restaurant. The staff are very helpful and friendly and the staff clearing tables in the restaurant are very efficient and friendly. The food is good and a wide choice. We had a superior room overlooking the pool in the last two weeks of June 2017.Not sure if it was just an "end of term" problem but for six nights our sleep was disturbed by about 500 teenagers arriving at the neighbouring Disco Club between midnight and 1 - 30 a.m and leaving between 3 - 30 a.m and 5- 00 a.m - they sounded like a large football crowd in full voice.Apart from that an excellent holiday.
After reading all the negative reviews, we thought we'd made a huge mistake booking this hotel. This was definitely not the case! On arrival, warm, friendly, helpful check-in. Room was clean, fresh, comfy huge bed, everything you needed was there. One very small criticism, lack off top space in bathroom for toiletries, need a shelf or something. Sun beds were plentiful, at anytime of the day. Pool area was clean and tidy. Very quiet and relaxing -offered fresh fruit around the pool on most days, or a cocktail. Activities offered during the day, such as cocktail making, wine tasting, cooking paella etc but you were never harassed into taking part. You could do as much or as little as you liked. Yes, there was just one bar and plastic glasses because of the pool area, but this wasn't an issue, they were decent glasses and bar staff were quick, never had to wait long for a drink. AI choices were quite good, cocktail choices were limited but that's not unusual. Some international spirits which was good, Gordon's, Famous Grouse, Captain Morgans. Red wine very palatable. Estella beer. Entertainment every night, varied, some acts were better than others. Felt the hotel made a huge effort on the White Party night which was lovely, a mojitos bar, hot/cold nibbles served to you, dancers, fire eaters etc - fab! Food - you'll never go hungry on AI! Missed breakfast but hot coissants by the pool and fresh fruit etc 12-1pm. Lunch was very good, and if you missed that, hot food at the pool after 3-5 pm pizza, toasted sandwiches, fries/wedges, make your own burgers/hot dogs, fruit, ice cream, cakes etc. Dinner, what you would expect from all 4* AI hotels, and once a week you can book alacarte, 5 course meal which was very nice and worth a visit. Dress code was quite relaxed, which is good for the men as it was so hot but would have expected a smarter dress code in the alacarte restaurant. Location was good, beach only 5 mins away and beautiful soft sand, fairly shallow, still water. Puerto de Pollensa is worth a visit, 10 min taxi ride. Old Town was gorgeous, well worth a visit or two!! Thank you to ALL the hotel staff, they were all lovely, helpful, friendly - would definitely recommend to others. Please take the negative comments with a pinch of salt. We had a great week 😄
Firstly I have to say unlike many of the people reviewing this hotel, I wasn't one of the oh my first and only trip advisor review that I was bribed with free premium cocktails to write! I don't know why the hotel felt the need to do this, it came across both tacky and desperate. I have been to many hotels including other adults only with Thomson in Turkey, Italy, Majorca and Cyprus - I don't often review but I wanted there to be a truly honest one as the hotel can speak for itself. Anyway, the hotel is lovely. Clean and fresh with a good choice of food and drink aswell as a good number of sunbeds and activities. The location is fantastic, just back enough from the main road for it to be quite yet close enough for an easy walk to the beach, port, old town and local supermarkets. I couldn't fault the staff, all I encountered were lovely and friendly with a good attitude to customer service. Ensure you book the A la carte dining and enjoy that during your stay, we sampled the steak and it was fab. Rooms are great, we had twin beds, a walk in rain fall shower (no bath) and lovely fresh and fluffy bathrobes. Oh and a fridge as well as the usual safe and television (which although we didn't watch much has a good number of English channels) True the view from the rooms on the side with the twins isnt fab but we don't spend time in our room and never pay for the upgrades anyway anywhere. Only one thing surprised me - the dress code, it's so relaxed in the restaurant in the evening. I saw other guests not only in shorts but swim shorts, not what I'd expected at an adults only hotel of the rating but still.
We have just returned from a great holiday at the Aluasoul in Alcudia. The hotel has recently been redecorated and looked great. It is well situated for the beach, shops and only 2 bus stops from The old Alcudia town - which you have to visit. The room was nice and comfortable with a useful balcony. We were on half board which we upgraded to include drinks with our evening meal. I would recommend others to do the same. The meals were all good although the menu might get a little monotonous if you stayed over a week. My only concern was that the hotel bar was very expensive if you were not on fully inclusive - €2.50 for a bag of crisps, €4 for an orange juice! We only used the bar once and we missed out on the evening entertainment- which looked and sounded good.
Overall i was pretty satisfied staying here. 99% of the staff were great to be honest. Having a safe / fridge at no extra cost was a bonus. Food wise it could be improved as a lot of the time it was either warm - cold or not cooked . Shame really as most of the time it did look appealing ( so when i was watched going up more than once it was because the food was cold) but couldn't eat it !! The other issue i have is that paying for water with my food in the evening. I went HB but had to pay 2.50 euro for a glass of water. Why cant they just give you a glass at meal times??..they do so in the mornings and yes they switch the soft drinks machines off at Dinner !! If you are HB and you will miss your Dinner ( for whatever reason) you can have a lunch instead just asked reception the day before.....i did this but was treated quite rudely by one of the staff..... Name ? Room number ? did you inform reception ? when di you inform them ?...all the time he had that information right in front of him ...no need for that at all!! As it is an exclusively a Thomson Hotel these issues should be addressed considering the amount people are paying!! Up where the Reps sit in the main reception there is a box with items that you would normally throw at the end of your holiday ...shampoos / sun lotion etc. Ideal if you have run out towards the end of your stay and don't want to buy anymore. Apparently they accept anything ( within reason) great idea!! and so is the book swap as well. One tip if you are using the beach a lot ...go and buy yourselves an umbrella , prices from 8 euros and a lilo from 5 euros ...if you use these throughout your stay you will save a fortune as the beach will charge you 13euros a day to sit under their umbrella and lie on their bed!! ( you have to pay for 2 beds even if there is only one of you ) comes as a package apparently !! Couldn't het anywhere near the pools ...same old problem - towel -sunbed -saved!! not enough beds etc for the size of the Hotels. Not much choice in the way of trips from this Hotel I'm afraid and what was offered was very expensive ..the trip i wanted to do didnt go from this hotel but there is a bus from the main shopping area ( cala dor ) which is a 5.50 euro ride each way. ( so i was told) i also noticed from the other trips on offer how much they have increased there prices since my last visit.... The Marina is nice for a drink ( not sure about the meal ) of an evening and so is Palma by night ( organised trip) you get nearly 5 hours there. The cathedral is lovely to walk around of an evening (I'm sure it closes at 3) shame it stank in places of a dirty urinal. There is a street market on a Thursday from 4- 11 when they shut the street off ...ideal for some gifts etc Any Bus timetables get them from reception ... There is also a supermarket called Eroskis opposite the small funfair ......lots cheaper than the spar !! Plenty of bars and places to eat.... No point in sharing pictures as they seemed to have covered that on here .. Cala dor express is a good way to get to the main region of this area where it is 10 times bigger the ride is bumpy and you can get on and off this train...lots more to do well worth a visit and it goes through the Marina.. Rooms were cleaned everyday not sure about the sheets as i slept on top of the bed .. If you do have an early departure they will supply your breakfast ....i didnt eat it as it was meat and cheese ..not sure how long it had been there ...so my advice is just take the rolls or buy something from the shop the day before.. Overall it was a good holiday ..
