I stayed there twice for one night. I think the location is good as it is about 15-20min walk to the old town. The harbour is just a 2 min walk. The staff are friendly enough but the rooms are on the small and dark side. Plenty of amenities in the room but no tea making facilities. But if you ask the bar staff for some hot water, they will happily give you a thermos full of hot water to take back to your room. The bar and restaurant look nice but I have not eaten at the hotel. I could hear the road traffic and my neighbour from my room even though it was a quiet time of the year so not sure during peak time.
It's my second time here. This place is very convenient. Everything is in walking distance. 10 minutes walk from the gorgeous church. 5 minutes walk to the beach. Rooms are very clean. The staff is always on top of there game.
Good hotel AC Hotel Ciutat d Palma is located centrally in the city of Palma de Mallorca. All the tourist attractions are within walking distance. Higher floor room is quieter. Staff is friendly. Hotel provided good breakfast. Room size is nice.
While the hotel looks fairly nondescript from the outside, the lobby and bar are very sleek and strikingly modern. Our room was spacious, modern, and minimalistic. The bed was huge and very comfortable. Oddly there was no duvet, just an old fashioned blanket covered by sheets. We had a table and two armchairs, and an enormous flat screen TV, but no in-room safe. There was a minibar, but no price list to go with it. The wardrobe offered plenty of hanging space and shelves, but there was no drawer. There was an open tray like box on top of the desk, that looked a bit like a drawer but nowhere to put it, so all your small items were sitting there in the open. Very weird. The lighting was very good, but the various lamps could not be switched on and off individually - another good design point poorly executed. The reading light (the only light that could be operated individually) on my side of the bed did not work at all. The room had a huge window leading to small balcony, although it was very noisy from the road outside if you left the door open. The blackout curtain wasn't quite wide enough for the window so didn't keep out the light completely when you went to sleep. The bathroom was bright and very modern with a great shower stall, the toiletries were nice and the bath towels huge and fluffy, but for some strange reason we only had one hand towel between the two of us. Cleanliness was very good. We only staff we encountered were the front desk people (we ate outside), and they were efficient, very friendly and helpful. The location in the lively Santa Catalina district is excellent. There are lots of restaurants and bars in the vicinity, the seafront is a hundred yards away, and it is just about walking distance to the cathedral and the old town. There is an airport bus stop less than five minutes walk away, and the no. 5 city bus stops just around the corner. All in all a good hotel for a city break, it could be great if only they could fix those shortcomings mentioned above.
Very nice place in center of Palma good staff discret and helpful nice bedroom and garden I stay there 4 night breakfast was good too I will definitely come back Value for money good just wish was a swimming pool Thanks you
It is a business hotel. Nice and quite. Good position not in center. Rooms are ok. Breakfast is ok. The bar area is nice. It is a good place for Palma. I could come back here when I will be back in Palma.
This smart smaller business/holiday hotel is ideally located just one street up from the promenade and harbour while being within easy walking distance from the old town of Palma. The best rooms are the higher floor front ones with stunning views of the marina and cathedral, which we were upgraded to. There is some traffic noise but this can be easily solved by closing the windows at night and letting the efficient air con do the work. Great shower, minibar, good buffet breakfast, the only missing facility would be tea/coffee facilities. Four out of five rating from us as the mattress was far too firm even for people who, like us, prefer harder mattresses. A couple of good restaurants just down the road and two mini markets with all the essential you might need. Helpful polite staff, would definitely return there!
AC Marriot standard quality hotel. Evething ok except there is no parking and it is difficilt to park in the surroundings. No views. In a residential area on a crossroads with lots of traffic. This is not a tourist hotel.
Stayed here for 4 nights. Way to short. The location is not big or fancy but it's walking distance to everything you want to see in Palma . Walk to the Plaza de Espana in like 20 min . Old town in 10 min. Bus stop 50 meters away The water front in no time. Some really great local restaurants like 8 -10 min walk. Sit outside on the side walk. The rooms are typical Europe small, you will need converter if using US plugs. The rooms really need a safe so that's a down side. A little noise thru the night , mostly scooters that seem to be the national bird. The desk staff were off the rails helpful. All 4 were amazing and went out of the way point us in the right direction to whatever we wanted. Inquired about a car and before I knew it, a guy with a amazing rental car showed up with the keys . Nice little lobby bar and breakfast setup with whatever you need . Would return here before the obnoxious tourist traps. The only reason for 4 stars is no in room safe and a long way from any real beach .
This was a 3 night stay and the hotel is convenient for the port and affords easy access to central Palma amenities. The staff were friendly, helpful and responsive to requests. Basement parking is very limited (7 or 8 spaces) but I was lucky and it's a reasonable 12 Euros per day. What lets the hotel down is maintenance and cleaning in the rooms. There is no attention to detail, bed sheets well worn, bed frame frayed and worn, mini fridge filthy, floor areas dusty and sofa stained, saggy and very grubby (i didn't feel comfortable sitting on it). So my advise would be, if you're a clean freak, don't consider this place but if you just want a basic tourist hotel and aren't too fussy then it's fine.
