this hotel is very good the staff really do make it from the reception down to the restaurant staff to the bar, the G&T's served in the bar were some of the best we have ever had. I do agree with some other reviewers that the hotel looks tired. the room and general décor do need a face lift we were told upon leaving that the hotel will have a make over in the winter months so will have to wait and see. our room was at he back of the hotel was ok fairly quiet. the pool area is to be re-vamped as well so again wait and see. the hotel is close to port us nous but a bit of hike to Marbella. taxi fare is about 12 euro's. what is great is its a 2 minute walk to the sea shore several beach bars to sit and relax and take in the sea views. food in the restaurant is ok but needs I shake up !!. It was nice to have an adults only hotel. but all round this hotel is hard to beat for a short break well worth a vist !!
Booked here for a week in September. The room we were initially allocated was somewhat tired & needed some TLC. Having had a word with reception we were allocated a " pilot room " eg, one that had been refurbished to the standard they expect to achieve in all rooms next year. What a difference,. it was modern & spacious & because it did not have a sea view , they actually refunded the difference !!! Excellent customer service. Staff were helpful & friendly & the food was first class. Well done to the Team !!
Stayed for 4 nights in this hotel returned last weekend it is a very spacious hotel large rooms a bit dated but very clean and large comfortable bed free safe and maid service every day staff very friendly and welcoming there is a lovely pool area plenty of sunbeds available the breakfast was excellent a lot of choice of continental breakfast and fresh omelettes cooked to order and cooked breakfast the hotel is situated 10 minutes walk from the main harbour and 10 minutes by taxi costing 13 euros to old town and marina which is cheaper than the main harbour where a pint of larger is 9 euros and in old town 3.50 euros all in all a lovely hotel in a good area the beach is 2 minutes walk from the hotel plenty of bars on beach front though some close in October until April
I booked this hotel for my fiancé's 30th one of the reasons we booked it was they advertised it as a spa hotel with whirlpool and sauna all the spa facilities were out of order apparently!! Secondly the beach bar was closed on booking in reception explained to us that their would be aditional charge for sun beds down their which we was ok with, we went down to the beach bar their was around 14 people in side drinking when we went in bar staff said we're closed when I said why is their people in he said private party sorry and left it at that. First iberostar and will definitely be the last.
We are just in our last hours of a lovely stay at this hotel and have enjoyed every minute. Everywhere is nice and clean, and the staff helpful and courteous. With regard to the restaurant staff, a special thank you to the chef Domingo and also to Marisa who always has a smile. Our room was spacious and comfortable, and we had both our towels and beds changed every day. The pool area with all the Koi Carp added interest; also the lunch time pool menu was good. Our only negative comment would have to be the temperature in the restaurant, it was so cold on an evening due to the air conditioning being on full blast. That said, we will definitely return and can safely recommend the hotel to others.
We have stayed in the Marbella/Puerto Banús many times and this hotel is certainly very comfortable. The rooms were spacious and cleaned beautifully. The food has been excellent and the staff friendly, special mention should go to the waiter Gonzalez as his smiling friendly nature is a pleasure. The only small down side,as our visit was in October there was very little entertainment in the hotel so the after dinner bar was very quiet.
We ends our visit to Andalusia staying three nights in the hotel. We had a room in the third floor with a lovely view of the Mediterranean sea and the mountains. The room was very good with a balcony which we enjoy. The breakfast was great. The staff was very helpful. Notice, the parking is not included but there is a lot of free parking place just in front of the hotel.
We stayed in a side sea view room and the view did not disappoint. A clear view of the pool area and also the sea. The room itself was large and airy with a large sized balcony. The room is nicely decorated with plenty of storage space. However, there is no complimentary water/coffee in the room and the air conditioning didn’t work (wasn’t a major issue as I visited in October where is was cooler). There is a minibar fully stocked but only with drinks. The bathroom is spacious with a separate toilet area but needs updating as it has become worn and overused. The shower was large but leaked all over the floor when using. This was a problem as the floor is tiled so became very slippery. The hairdryer actually had some power and the complimentary toiletries were impressive. The hotel itself is large and superbly decorated. The staff are friendly, although do struggle with English. Some don’t speak English at all. No-one offered to take my luggage to the room when I checked in and I was given no directions to the room so went down a few wrong corridor trying to find the lift. The hotel at night and early morning is very noisy with lots of door slamming and loud conversations by the pool. There is also the constant sound of running water when on the balcony and when the patio doors are open during the day. The hotel is situated on the beach but not ‘beach front’. You need to walk out of the back gate and down the path for approx. 2 minutes to reach the beach. Puerto Banus is about a 15/20 minute walk along the beach front and Marbella Town is 30 minute walk. The pool area is nice and spacious and the pool is always superbly clean. You can use a sun lounger for free or a cabana for €17 with complimentary towels for everyone. The breakfast buffet runs from 6am to 10:30am and is full of variety. I chose an omelette which was cooked to perfection and a perfect portion. Overall, I would definitely visit this hotel again!
We enjoyed our stay , the staff were very pleasant. the fridge in the room didnt appear to be chilled just luke warm but only small problem for the white wine. Only 2 towels but given fresh each day if put in bathtub.
Extremely friendly pleasant staff, receptionists were very helpful. Very good location and hotel amenities provided everything we needed to make our stay a memorable one. The restaurant ambiance and food quality were 1st class, in particular I found the breakfast options very good, the breakfast chef's (Domingo) omelettes were probably the best I have had.
