Hotel San Cristobal is in Old Town Marbella. It is clean and comfortable. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Adequate heating. Need to bring your own shampoo. There is a working hairdryer but it doesn't really do the job.Best to bring your own. The location is excellent just 300 metres from the beach. Quaint little shops up side streets. Lots of restaurants and cafes nearby.
Nice central hotel with reception on the first floor, escalator access from the main road. Backs on to the Old Town with easy access to Orange Square and shops and restaurants. Short walk to promenade across main road. Great location if you like to be near everything. Reception staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet is good.
Affordable but not good quality. We where there in December celebrating New year and this was the best Location for the trip. Close to the old town and then beach, opposite to a very nice cafe were you can eat nice breakfasts. We had a normal room, it was clean but tired and therefore I would recommend you to take the Premium which is nicer. If you are sensitive to noises ask for a quiet room on the back of the hotel as the windows are not blocking the outside notices and there is a busy street in front of the hotel but also between the rooms. The beds was large, a bit hard but clean. They used some kind of plastic sheets under the bed sheets, hygienic but I remove it as I felt like it made my bed a humid BUT it did not bother my husband. The hotel can support you with transportation from/to Airport but be prepared to pay Cash.
Please read our rewiew on tripadvisor. A hotel with a fantastic staff ,all over. Room clean and big.nice terasse and New nice bathroom, with al nessary bodyitems, really nice. Fridage and water biler with free Coffee and tee. The hotel is situated in the center nearly the oldtiden town and beach. Easy access form/to the bus, just across the hotel. This hotel is absolutly worth the price. Our stay was really nice, with a touch of "homefeeling" staff heling with everything. 😊 We recommend it 100 %😊😊😊
We stayed in the small hotel 14 days. The accses to the hotel was super, we toke the avanza expressbus(just infront og the arrivel at leavel 0 to the busterminal in Marbella, just 20 m on the oppisit side the local bus waited ..7 min down to the center og Marbella, the bus stops infront og the San cristobal hotel, just walk the crossing and you are in the hotel ...genius.. We had booked a supriorroom. The check in was easy and god information from the friendly lady in the reception. The elevator(2) was clean and the told you the leavel you was on. room clean, bright/light and rather big. The balcony was very big, but in the shadow. We asked for the possiblity to change room to a sunny place...NO PROBLEM..the acted as soon as possible , so we had to change room and found a very nice place in the sun, heading to the park and seafront. Im having trouble with a hip ingury with a lot of pain,we asked for a other more soft madrass ...1 hour later the had changed the madras This high leavel of service continued althroug our stay :). Baathroom was big and new, with powerful waterpressure. Aircon. worked and was free wifi worked and was free (up to 4 items) fridges was fine and very useful as the coffemachine/waterboiler with free coffe and te. You have about 175 m to the playa, 20 m to the very cozy and nice old town with the Orangesqure , absolutly a place to visit. The breakfast is a little expensive and we must say ok , but average.staff serviceminded and not to good English. Overall a pleasant hotel fore a week or to. We really felt at home. We can recommend this hotel 100% fore its placement, staff and supriorrooms. REMEMBER: Order a superiorrom, its worth the extra money.
This was my first Christmas visit to Narbella and thus hotel but a return visit for my wife . Very helpfull staff and very pleasant . The room was clean and functional. We did not have breakfast in the hotel but can advise that breakfast was good . Dinner also was very good with varied menu. The bar also accommodated for all types of drink both alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks. The hotel is very well situated for the town , bus and access to the beach and local shops. The cafe opposite the entrance was our breakfast spot. Both places complement each other. I can recommend thus hotel to one and all. Including wheel chair users. Tea making facilities and a pair of disposable sleepers would be a good addition. Apart from that. All is perfect in this hotel. See u all again soon
We've stayed one night in this hotel in November 2017 ; has a good location, just opposite the fountain of virgen de rocio and 10 min walk to the beach. Also if you want to visit Marbella old city center is very very close to the hotel. The problem is that it doesn't have parking so if you come by car you have to choose one close and the fee is about 15 Eur/day. The entrance in the hotel is not very well marked so take notice that is at the first floor and is common with some commercial places. Try to take a premium room as those are refurbished and quite ok. The bathroom is clean and in the room you have 2 bottles of water, a welcome treat (a box with 4 macarons), instant coffee and tea bags. Breakfast was quite varied and ok. All in all a nice experience. I think during the summer is even better :)
After reading so many good reviews of this hotel I booked a premier room on the upper floors so that I had a balcony room with views for a short break. My room (510) was spotless and was kept that way, with towels changed every day and bedding after 2 days. There was always lots of hot water in my walk in shower. Breakfast buffet choice was very good but with the same options every day. Although there were tour groups using the hotel they did eat separately, keeping the main dining room for use with choices of seating areas. Breakfast was sensibly timed and lasted until 10.30 am and I never felt rushed or unwelcome with little food left when using it close to closing. As others have said the location of the hotel is excellent. My room overlooked a small square with a fountain and which was used for a couple of childrens rides in the evening and a market on Sunday. The square can be quite noisy but it settled after midnight. I enjoyed walking around the old town, with surprises around corners. From Malaga Airport, buy a single ticket from the airport bus office and the stop is on the left just outside. Journey to Marbella is 40 minutes. Take a taxi from outside Marbella bus station to the hotel, as it is quite a walk down to the hotel from here with luggage. I only paid E6 (metered) to the door. You must buy a ticket for the bus before boarding, as they do not take cash. Everyone I dealt with at the hotel were pleasant and helpful, with a smile and anxious to see that I was happy with their services. I liked the fact that everyone seemed to love their hotel and were interested in giving guests a happy holiday. Will surely use this hotel again when staying in Andalucia. Thanks to all.
Popped over to Marbella at short notice on Monday and stayed in the Cristóbal. Once again, great value with the Room and especially the Staff who were exceptionally accommodating. Great location with the chilly nights upon us (not far from the bars/restaurants) and when I say ‘chilly’ - the hot daytime weather changes quickly where you will need a heavy sweater or jacket from 5pm onwards.
This is a great 3* hotel. Amazing location, super staff (especial thanks to Pepe for your friendliness), clean rooms and common areas, comfy bed, newly reformed bathroom with powerful shower, coffee making facilities in the room.
