We stayed at the Crown Resorts Club Marbella for only 4 days but what we experienced I’d say that it was fab. The apartments were very spacious, the kitchen was well equip with a washing machine which was an added bonus, the lounge/diner was very well presented and the balcony albeit was small but just fine. The hotel had a pool but with the low October sun it was cast into shadow quite early in the afternoon, but the sunbeds were of good quality and there were plenty around, there was a life guard present at all times on the outdoor and indoor pool. The gym was ok but no free weights just cardio running machine, spin bikes and cross trainers. The restaurant served good food from their menu. We were self-catering so I can’t comment on the all include foods. The town was small with just a few pubs with lots of restaurants. I hired a car but I should imagine the bus service was regular as they seemed quite popular. There was a huge car park owned by the hotel so parking is not an issue.
We returned for a second time to this resort and once again have been extremely impressed. We recommend requesting to stay in the newly refurbished apartments as their facilities are more modern. There is indoor and an outdoor pool as well as a gym and mini golf course. The resort is close to a stretch of restaurants which are mostly reasonably priced and only a 5 minute walk away. The mini bus service is excellent, and the drivers are so friendly and helpful. The resort restaurant/bar could do with a little more ambience, and at times the signal of the television for watching English channels was very poor. However this would not stop us from returning as overall the facilities were excellent and the staff dealt with any issues promptly and effectively.
4 of us stayed in the Regency Palms section for a week in October. The room was comfortable and air conditioned. The beds were a little firm but did the job. Two extras pillows were provided but we could have done with one extra one each. The kitchen facilities were good with an oven and 4 ring hob. There was sufficient kit to cook a meal and just about enough to serve it, plus plates to eat off. Also they have a microwave. There was a washer-dryer and instructions on how to use in (bottom drawer of kitchen). The balcony seating was nice with decent chairs; the Club Marbella seats were plastic though. The two showers were good with decent water pressure and a good spray head. That's usually my guide to decent accommodation , I feel. The restaurant food was good with a varied buffet for breakfast, lunch and supper each day. We ate here once for each. The lunch and evening meals are good value, the breakfast not so much. The bar prices are a little high, think UK (but not London) prices. There was entertainment provided but we did not partake. We did get the benefit of the crooner on the first night entertaining the other guests but it ended early enough not to disturb too much. The facilities are good - three pools, spa, ttennis, mini golf etc. The three pool tables were not working though through out our stay. Deposit for golf clubs and ttennis kit is a hefty 20 per item but that what stops it going missing I suppose. The outdoor pool was shaded during the latter part of the day as was the sunterrace. Maybe that's just October but if you wanted serious tanning or melanoma opportunity then that was denied you. Location is convenient enough for most purposes but unless you are a pool lounger or opt for the minibus then a hire car is essential. There are several supermarkets or restaurants a short walk away, the local beach was okay but better beaches were either side in marbella or fuengirola. The full home away from home was available with a Lidl 10 mins walk away and waitrose lookalike 2 mins further. We're not sure whether we'd be back. Nothing wrong with the place though. I saved the 5 stars for other excellent interval resorts.
The resort situated just a walking distance by the beach. For mobility, advisable to rent a car at the Malaga airport, to move around Malaga, there is one Carrefour Supermarket nearby to get to buy your raw food to cook at the resort,
The resort is in the middle of holiday apartment area about two kilometers away from the sea. There are swimming pools and other activities on the resort. The parking lot is next to the resort and there are always space for a car. Several restaurants are in the walking distance as well as a small grocery. We used a larger supermarket one kilometer away. We had a two bedroom unit, ok, but it did not have a dishwasher. A washing machine excists. There are lot of stairs in the resort itself.
My partner and myself visited Club de Marbella on the 15th September 2017 for a week on a timeshare exchange. The temperature was idyllic being 22-25 degrees. Having read many negative reviews on here I was had a bit of trepidation when arriving. I was wrong! After a 30ish minutes journey from Malaga airport, we were quickly checked in and showed to our room. There were many steps and it was a bit hilly but it didn't make me feel too bad at the end of the week after all the beer we drank! Our room was lovely, we had a two bed and two bathroom apartment with everything and more in it. Bed was comfortable, sofa could've been comfier but considering it was a pull out bed it wasn't too bad. The tv signal could've been better but we managed to watch programmes without too much hassle. We didn't have to fight for sun beds every morning, often strolling down at 11-12 o'clock being able to pick from various spots. The restaurants close by are lovely and we loved the bars too. We did eat lunch in the restaurant on site a couple of times, it was nice for a light lunch. Sadly we didn't use the shuttle bus to the beach etc and regret that we didn't but we were perfectly happy spending time in the apartment, pool and the restaurants close by. The staff were lovely and approachable. The only downside is we didn't realise how far Marbella was away and after a €40 taxi we figured we'd look into getting the bus next time which is a considerable amount cheaper. All in all a lovely place for a holiday and would undoubtedly return.
The Crown Resorts Club Marbella lies perfectly on the Costa del Sol near both Marbella, Fuengirola, Malaga and Gibraltar. We had an apartment with two bedrooms and two bathrooms which was perfect when travelling with kids. The apartment was a little worn out (especially the kitchen) but besides this everything was just great with the resort. It's very clean and well maintained. There are lots of things for both the whole family and the kids to do - kid's club, pool tables, squash, gym, indoor and outdoor pools, mini golf and so on. There are a lots of personal that are helpful and it's just a few minutes walk to a great mini market that has everything you need and good little restaurants! We are planning on returning with the kids to this resort, which has it all, next year!
I would hope that this timeshare resort that I used to exchange would be a nice resort, but to me, it's just average. The photos fool you a little, as it's a little small and the kitchens are tiny. If they put in a washer, a dryer should be there too, as you have to hang you clothes on the patio and hope there's some breeze because it will not dry well. It was also quite noisy as people come in at all hours of the night and don't realize that other people do sleep, so they talk so loud and smoke, and also it echoes at night. I think security should be letting people know to keep the noise down. I think too that this resort should be better maintained as I spotted several cracks on the patios of other units and our washer wasn't working right. Our toilet also broke after the first day, but maintenance came in right away the next morning to fix it, so I think they should've known about it, or people didn't complain. I don't know if I would stay here again, but the restaurants down the road make it convenient to walk to if you're hungry. Bogart's restauran stays open til late, so it's worth it. The food is awesome and the sangria's too. Great prices for their food.
We stayed for a week in August this year in one of the 2 bed apartments. First impression were nice, clean, good size little apartment with a nice size balcony & two bathrooms. The fans in the room were ok but not for mid summer, We had no air conditioning, a bit of a shocker for mid summer in Spain. The staff were helpful and the place had great parking. The pool area was poor for the size of the property with not enough sun beds and umbrellas for the amount of people staying at the hotel at that time of year, I wouldn't recommend it for people with walking difficulties as the property is on a hill with lots of steps. All in all a nice little place to stay on the Costa Del Sol and very well located.
I stayed at this hotel for 4 days. The flat was quite small, but had two bedrooms and two bath rooms. The flat was clean and nice, and very well equipped. The only problem was that the neighbours were talking and making noise quite late. There are also many indoors activities at the hotel, and even a hairdresser.
