Superb hotel - fabulous pools, spotlessly clean throughout, great location, very friendly and helpful staff, kids mini club, nightly entertainment. A super hotel which we will definitely return to the next time we choose Torremolinos
We had a Nice sea view from our room at 9 floor. To much noise in the resturant. We had breakfast outside much more quiet. Very close to Nice Beach. 4 euro for sunbed, very Nice. Very slowely elevator, Think they Are very old.
The room that we had was really clean and was in a great location, the view from the balcony was the main pool. We were told at time of check-in that there would be a show every night at 10pm on the stage which was opposite our room, we were worried about the noise level, however you could hardly hear anything when the sliding door was shut which is excellent. The hotel caters for families with children, with a games room which is a nice addition. The pool is clean and well looked after, and if you don't fancy swimming in the pool the hotel is a stones throw away from the beach, also there are plenty of restaurants near by so there is no worry about walking far for food. We did have a problem with the keys not working in the door however this was sorted out very quickly which was really good. There are several bars in the hotel which host a nice variety, and the happy hour at the main bar is good value for money. The staff were very friendly and were happy to help with anything you had. Would definitely stay here again.
Lovely large hotel Good room and superb bathroom with lots of rails and wheel in shower.........but view from balcony a disaster Nothing but hugh stretch of green roof Asked for change of room and advised that all disabled accessible rooms on same level. Next room shown was overlooking car park Reception did their best to help by showing other non-adapted rooms but thes did not suit - no rails etc. I usually spend quite a lot of time sitting on the balcany, reading and generally watching the worl go by. I do not appreciate my outlook being either an enormous green orrf or a car park. Sadly, had to move hotel
Room was very dated and the breakfast and dinner buffet was not worth the money paid. Hotel location was excellent and very very very close to beach. Staff was nice and courteous. Looks like they are making some upgrades also.
Stayed here last week for my son's wedding in Malaga. This is a large hotel with many hundreds of rooms spread over three wings. Saw quite a few tour operators using the hotel. There were many families with children. Restaurant has a good selection and our grand kids liked their food. We had a sea facing room and the views from the sixth floor are brilliant. Majority of rooms have balcony with table and chairs. We had a family room with one double and 2 twin beds. Rooms were clean and tidy. The beach is just a stone throw's away with plenty of deck chairs for hire. Would recommend seafront walk in the morning before breakfast to build your appetite. The hotel has extensive outdoor space with at least three swimming pools so you are able to spread out. Plenty of deck chairs. There is a bar by the pool and outdoor games area for table tennis and tennis. There is also an indoor games area within the hotel but you have to pay to play. There is also a sports bar and an outdoor patio area adjacent to the restaurant. Very good selection of breakfast both cooked and continental . Disappointedly tea and coffee is from machines!. Staff are friendly and helpful. There is a supermarket, tobacconist, pharmacy just outside the front entrance to the hotel. There are also many cafes, bars and restaurants along the seafront and in the side streets and would recommend you try these out to sample the local culture. Use of iron/iron board is free for the first hour then charges apply. Also if you want to use the room safe you have to hire it!!! Overall nice relaxing stay.
We have just spent 4 days at this hotel, all the staff go the extra mile, cannot fault a thing, clean everywhere you go, would advise you to stay here. Lots of people staying but it didn't make any difference to our holiday did not queue and everyone so helpful. The Burge family
I've read many good reviews for this hotel but I've also read many poor ones- which surprised me massively. I literally could not find fault with the Sol Principe. I went for just one week last August with my daughter, her friend and my elderly mother and we had the most amazing time. The receptionists were always busy but at the same time kind and helpful; our rooms were stunning and the views from the balcony wonderful; the beds were extremely comfortable and I struggled to get up in the mornings I was that relaxed; the room service was brilliant and we always returned to beautifully clean rooms; the choice of food was extraordinary and the quality was very good. I enjoyed the evening meals but I particularly liked the breakfasts where hot food was cooked in front of you exactly to your taste; the pools were possibly the best part of the whole experience (apart from the location, right on the beach ) and although crowded, were stunning and always clean and well maintained. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel and am v excited to be returning there again this August with my mum.
Came here as every year as we organize some business conventions and are probably the largest single clients. Efforts are made no doubt but still the Principe is far from being a 4*. Frustration for this year was again the A/C. Until June it's working depending on the good will of management. So your other choice is to open the window but then you will most probably become mosquito food. If you need Internet bandwidth then... forget it. I have raised that complaint for years. Not sure how large is their global bwidth but divided by the number of guests when the hotel is loaded with business people all willing to check emails etc. it's sucks... Laundry service remains a bet. Any 4* that I know of, you give your dirty stuff before 9am and it gets returned the same evening. Extra service being charged for 4, 6h or overnight service. At the Sol Principe, you might get it the next evening.... Finally what really pisses me off in this hotel is the quality of the front staff. I understand we all have our issues. But isn't it possible to smile, and get more efficient procedures. When you have 200 people checking in in a span of 3 to 4 hours and you know it in advance.... can't this be organized. Same works with check out. Efficient hotel send you an email with your invoice... All in all still an average value as the price charged is low. But frankly the path to excellence is still long and steep.
This hotel was quite nice, pool areas where nice , communal areas nice , cleanliness very good , food for me was fine not fantastic but good enough , staff mostly friendly , rooms adequate , location for me was perfect 15 mins walk to town loads of beach bars shops etc , nice view of the sea from the balcony . Negatives for me was drinks overpriced and not very good for paying guests the beer was particularly bad ! Beds very hard pillows like sleeping on sand bags and a horrid plastic protector under your sheet very uncomfortable Also the air con was not working as the hotel didn't have it on . This I feel should be each guests choice not the hotels I found the rooms uncomfortably hot even though outside temp was cool !! All in all it was a nice holiday and I would not be put of returning .
