Beautiful hotel, rooms were lovely, spacious (booked a superior double) and very clean! Breakfast was spot on, variation of 'full english' or continental. Staff were great, especially David who was always smiling and pleasant. Views from the pool terrace area were fantastic day and night!
Stayed here for 6 nights, no complaints. Clean hotel, friendly staff, great location in a safe area. 5 min walk to the center and most tourists attractions are all within walking distance of the hotel.
Great location for exploring Malaga city, comfortable clean room with quiet ac which was a bonus. Outlook from room poor but panaramic city view from rooftop area. Breakfast lovely ,good variety and selection constantly topped up. Staff very friendly and helpful. Pool area could have done with sun parasols as shade very limited.
The room was very nice, the beds were very comfy and the hotel located very close to everything - beach 20-25 mins walk, the old town 10 mins walk. The breakfast buffet offered a good variety and was very nice. On the rooftop was a plunge pool and a bar giving very nice views of the local area
I visited this hotel last week and overall it was a very pleasant experience .. the roof terrace with pool and bar was a definite highlight and I really enjoyed chatting to Lisseth de Colombia y Maribel me parece de Cordoba who worked in the bar. I took my 82 year old Mum with my brother who suffers from MS and in hindsight a hotel in the centre near Larios street/cathedral would have been better but once we found the quickest route into the centre it wasn't too bad .. make sure you cross the main road by the IBIS hotel and walk straight into the centre, as you will stumble across Larios street in 10 mins or so. Malaga is an amazing city .. great restaurants at very good prices. taxis to Muelle1 (the lovely new port/marina and beach only 6 euros) Highlights; Restaurants Lo Gueno, Dgustar, el Pimpi, il Trullo, Cuevas 1900 A must is the churros con chocolate place near to the market Casa Armanda I believe. it has been operating since 1928. Also try the fish dishes on the pavement outside the market. You sit on stools and the highly efficient waiters bring you cheap beer and delicious fried/grilled fish dishes at 3 euros a portion! Best seat for dinner .. el parador restaurant on the hill by the castle for amazing views of city. Lovely rooftop bars at the AC Marriott and Molina Larios 100 monteditos makes greggs look expensive! try it especially as beer is 1.5 a pint or per jarra. Enjoy :-) p.s. try the Riberra del duero red wine .. a nice alternative to Rioja at 2.90 euros per glass
Just returned this evening from a 3 night stay at this great hotel. Every single member of staff we encountered were courteous & smiling. The room was lovely with a small balcony. Huge bathroom with a great shower. The rooftop terrace was a delight with wonderful staff & the food was delicious. Decent prices & just a great place to go for drinks prior to hitting the city & upon returning. Ideally situated & just a short walk into town & about 20 mins to the beach. I would have no hesitation in staying here next time which will hopefully be very soon, and would highly recommend this hotel. Well done to all of the hotel staff.
Stayed here with 2 other females as we needed a room for 3 and seemed the only one around. We were not disappointed. Rooftop area is lovely, with the tiny pool, but still managed a swim. Gym was also located looking out over a view , with the usual equipment and weights. Room was a bit on the small side and no balcony ,but we had the terraces to use . Fridge in room useful, and kettle a big plus in European hotel. Bathroom was large, which I would have preferred more space in the room. Had bath and bidet too. Room was a bit darkly decorated for a small space but comfy beds. Drinks were pricier than in the city, so we went out all the time, but there's a huge choice in malaga. All in all I would recommend this hotel for its location, views and relaxing outdoor space.
Very friendly staff in all departments. The room was spacious with large, smart bathroom. Comfortable bed too. Welcome drink on the rooftop and a dip in the small pool was good after a hot day travelling. The breakfast was a buffet with a good selection of hot and cold food. Location of the hotel is ideal for exploring the town. We would visit this hotel again.
I recently stayed at this hotel as I was travelling alone and knew that the rooftop pool would be a nice place to chill out. The hotel is very close to the centre of Malaga- 2 mins and the staff are excellent. My only issue is that my room was on the side of the street and was quite noisy at night.
I stayed at Salles Hotel during a brief stop in Malaga at the end of May - my friends were based in a hostel conveniently positioned 100 yards away. Salles Hotel stands out like a beacon on a narrow, busy thoroughfare. While this stretch leaves little to whet the imagination, Salles Hotel brings an element of class to more humble surroundings. The entrance is clean and welcoming, while the reception area is manned by efficient and helpful staff. ROOM I read many reviews that described the rooms as old-fashioned - whilst I would not describe them as 'modern', they retain a homely and comfortable feel, if a little on the small side. Of note - bathrooms ARE modern (although the shower lacks the power of a typical 4-star accommodation), and the safety deposit box requires no deposit for use - comfort I'm sure when you're based in city centre surroundings. ROOFTOP POOL & BAR I was on the 5th floor - quiet as a mouse and a short walk from both the fitness centre and he rooftop pool. Sun loungers are at a premium in the afternoon but the environment is beautiful - with plenty of seating in the bar area and stunning views over the centre. For swimming enthusiasts - it is very much a dipping pool. If you're looking to cool off after hours in the sun, it's perfect. If you chasing lengths, this isn't the pool for you! RESTAURANT On the ground floor, the menu is plentiful and the food exquisite. Service, however, was rather tardy - a full 15 minutes passed before my bill arrived, without being able to fully understand the reasons behind this delay. Whilst the food is great, I would suggest that those who book Hotel only or B&B will be able to find adequate and cheaper alternatives on their short walk into the hub of Malaga. CONVENIENCE it's USP - such quality just 10 minutes away from the city centre, and the main sights of Malaga (namely the castle, cathedral, marina and Picasso's museum makes it easy to plan and look forward to your day. Such a luxury to take in stunning architecture, views and places of historical interest over a morning, then relax with a cold drink and a book by the pool in he afternoon. All without once setting foot on public transport! MISC Worth noting that I booked a taxi for 4:30am to the airport, at reception on the evening before I left. Got there the next morning to find they had booked a shared taxi with another passenger to leave at 5am. This situation was quickly rectified, however was disappointed it arose considering reception staff were fully aware of my flight time. VERDICT 4-star about right for what it offers - some improvement in service and in some offerings in the room (particularly the shower and perhaps a spruce of the decor) can see this hotel take the next step. If convenience is what you seek - check out good offers and this hotel will not let you down!
