Spent last night here on our tour of Spain what a view. This parador has great rooms, we had a duplex room on 2nd floor with roof terrace and balcony below overlooking the pool area no problems at all..Very clean room most helpful staff good evening meal in restaurant 8 courses for reasonable price. The breakfast was very good too hot or cold.Would recommend this hotel highly.
Beautifully located hotel in Andalucia. Hangs on a cliff with a fantastic lookout. Service from staff excellent. The thing with this hotel is that it needs a major renovation. Ventilation in our part of the hotel insufficient with constant foodsmell from the kitchen in the aisle. Room worn and thorn. My advice: Close the hotel for one year and renovate it inside out.
This hotel is in a fabulous location. Good wifi. The rooms are clean enough but really quite jaded with chipped wooden furniture etc. First room we were shown to had been used by a smoker and was very smelly. It was changed promptly. Breakfasts poor, grumpy staff, stale bread and half cooked eggs. No selection of teas, and tea served lukewarm. Coffee not the best either. Also the waiters wander through the tables clearing up with a trolley piled with dirty plates and cutlery, slops etc., not the best start to your day! Asked at reception for bus/train times for following day and she pointed me to the computer then grudgingly looked them up for me. Maybe I was unlucky but not impressed with this hotel at all.
The hotel was formerly the town city hall and is practically perched on the famous Puente Nuevo, a bridge that spans the river gorge that separates the city. Our room was on the ground level and had its own patio overlooking the pool, and beyond that the old part of the city. Like all the Paradores we visited the room was comfortable, clean and well maintained. The staff was always friendly and helpful. If I had any disappointment it was that the building itself lacked the long historical pedigree of other Paradores, but it more than redeemed itself with a tasteful modern motif. Ronda is one of the most romantic towns in Spain and this property is at its center. You will not be disappointed.
An excellent hotel with very friendly and obliging staff. Secure underground car parking. Very good breakfast and quiet rooms, all immaculate. Probably one of the best locations of any Parador, next to the Puente Nuevo. Only thing that spoilt the stay for our first visit was that, having made our reservation EIGHT MONTHS earlier and having requested two rooms on the front of the hotel overlooking the bridge, we were told that our rooms were on the back of the hotel with no view of the bridge. Not acceptable. After complaining we were given one room only on the front, so the other couple were very, very disappointed. Not what I'd expect from a Parador.
Confortable, clean, very nice and amazing place to stay! We really loved this place and all the city. The location of de hotel is perfect and the room is big, confortable and beatiful! Everything was really nice!
An excellent centrally located hotel making walking excursions around the town very easy. We booked a duplex room which was tastefully furnished and with one small and one large patio / balcony. That aircon worked very well although the unit in the bedroom would not turn off! Breakfast was a buffet which was extensive and delicious however the 'hot food' wasn't! The fred eggs and bacon left on warmers were greasy and barely warm, not at all worthwhile. On the second day we ordered from the menu and the scrambled eggs / eggs benedict were a distinct improvement although still not piping hot. Perhaps proper hot food is a Northern European thing. Underground parking is available at €18/night.
As part of my 50th birthday celebration & being part of the parador amigo loyalty scheme Ronda was an obvious choice as we were exploring Andalusia. The location as always with Paradors are the key but also the expected level of service.I honestly think this paradise was under staffed during our visit.Check in took well over 20 minutes with the 1 receptionist struggling with the volume of people & a Q of 3 couples behind me when we did get checked in.No courtesy drink was offered either as with all other Paradors we have visited. Also the staff really struggled at breakfast to seat waiting guests as they seemed busy generally just keeping up with demand.I actually saw one couple clear & lay their own table this morning as they had waited so long. Don't get me wrong we enjoyed our stay and I don't want to come across negative as it is a lovely place. We had a room at the rear that was spacious which overlooked the park & gorge. We did enjoy using the pool late afternoons (a few sunbeds are broken with missing supports) I just think the staff struggled & are probably spread too thin or are just tired of tourists.
it was out of this world, this Parador is one the best the food at breakfast was excellent with everything fresh. we stayed in a duplex room and it was huge, with two bathrooms, two baloncys and a lounge plus a nespesso machince and a kettle. Views of the gorge where beath taking.
We had the most memorable stay with friendly service and really helpful staff. The food was very good and generous portions. Relaxed atmosphere and oasis in a busy town. Unmissable go at the end of May and join the festivities!
