Best hotel we've ever stayed in and we've been to Nerja ten times. Room cleaned everyday, hotel was spotless, lovely staff that go out of their way to greet staff eveytime you enter the hotel. They even arranged taxi to airport. Driver met us at reception, took our cases and escorted us to carpark for €80. After staying at Hotel Balcon wouldnt stay anywhere else!

The breakfast was great, the pool and sauna were situated with an excellent view. They had beach towels and a beach bag on the bed as a gift which was very nice. The only complaint was parking- very far and in an underground parking garage you have to pay a lot for and the bed is rock hard.

Location of hotel on beach was good but the hotel entrance to access the beach was not open until 10am each day - far too late. Marketed as a private beach but it is not - non hotel guests able to gain access well before 10am. Change of beach towels only allowed between 10am -noon. It had the feel of a hotel run by rules to benefit the hotel and not the guests. Beach bar was lovely and food good. I booked a junior suite which was disappointingly dark and dated - certainly not a suite by my understanding. Overall, disappointing; certainly not worth the money and I wouldn’t recommend it.
