I went for a day biztrip. 1. The room is extremely old 2. My room key doesn't work, I have to go down again to ask them to open it for me. And it seemed that the master key worked. They said they were going to send someone to fix it. I waited and waited for 30mins, then I ordered food with gofood. Had to go down and took my food. While at it, I asked again when will they send someone, 'soon' they said. I went up and sat on the lobby of my floor because I can't get it, for 10 minutes. I was fed up and went down again, I was irritated. I ask for someone to open my door again. They were unapologetic, even more irritated than me. After another 30 mins, someone came to my door and fix the door. There are a plethora of hotels in makassar, no need to choose this one.

The hotel is freakin old and creepy, when we arrive the escalator light seems broken, the bed is bad, th e pillow and the sheet are stinks and dirty. I dont know why they still running this hotel. Not woth it.

Upon arrival at 11pm in a smelly lobby we were given a room that was a smoking room and didn't look anything like the picture of our booking site. At reception we were told the room wasn't available anymore. We were given another non-smoking room which was not clean, had a non-working shower. Breakfast was unlike anything, poor, no-choice, tasteless and again in a smoking section (luckily I was the only guest). This morning we were finally given the room we booked. It's supposed to be recently refurbished, but it's minimal and again a non-working shower (no hot water and clogged plumbing). Their swimming pool is disgusting dirty, don't be fooled by the pictures! I had booked for 3 nights but after that first night and 3 different rooms I fled this hotel without bothering for a refund. I just wanted to get out of there as quickly as possible! Staff were friendly all the time but unfortunately all they could say was "sorry". Please close this hotel for an extensive overhaul!

I was in Makassar for business and had to stay for 2 days. I requested this hotel with a relatively high expectation to get comfort from 4 stars hotel but unfortunately they failed to barely even close to it. I am quite familiar with their sister hotel in Jakarta, Hotel Sahid Jakarta which offers pleasant experience so I was thinking the one in Makassar would provide the same. I was wrong. The hotel is really old, you can tell from their design and interior that the hotel was something in 1990's. Staffs were not that friendly, one of them didn't try to notice when I said thank you and please do not expect too much with their breakfast menu. The rate is relatively cheap, but next time I would rather to stay in a boutique hotel instead.

My personal note: - upon arrival & checking in I received an envelope with an apology letter included, saying that the hot water machine is not working. - but then in the room I got curious & check tripadvisor, turns out they had been having this problem since at least June. - Local colleagues warn me that the hotel is so old it is haunted. But I dont see nor experience supernatural beings during the stay. the hallway is dark though, which maybe add to the stigma of haunted hotel. - Maybe out of guilt for not having the hot water working, every evening hotel guests received 2 ramen cups & bottled tea, delivered to our room. And they said it is free. (Weird) - hotel staff were friendly enough - breakfast? Just skip it, go to nearest traditional food vendors with better tasting food. Foreigners, just wait until next door Starbucks or McD open at 9 am. - room size is adequate - 20 metres away from big shopping mal. Find what you need there.

Relatively old hotel with quite complete facilities. The location is in the heart of Makassar business center and walking distance to mall. Service quality from the staff was amazing, room is clean and spacious.

When I came to the hotel, the first thing that I look is the building. I have to admit the hotel is really old. And then I entered the room and I was a bit shocked, for a well-known hotel in Indonesia. You don't need the card key to turn on the room's electricity, then I thought the room used a built-in aircon, instead the room use common aircon. Luckily, it is cool enough for the room. And then the toilet and the shower. It was so old. The toilet was so brown and dirty. The shower did not have any hot water because of maintenance. But at least, it is a good place to sleep.

I'm here for 6 days until 28 Dec 2015. But day 1 stay in here have been making me not comfortable. For the price they gave to me it's not worth it!! No hair dryer, hot air to shower up not working perfect, canal of wastafel can't siphon water fast! It need a long time to siphon water. It's bad! But i love their staffs. Friendly, very kind, and very helpful when i need help.

This is an OLD hotel that has not been refurbished in a few decades, and it shows. Interior is dated and in need of a makeover asap. Checking in at 10PM with a tired toddler didn't seem to motivate the reception staff to be more efficient in serving us, although we were the only customer at the time. My room had a distinctive old hotel smell and there's nothing they could do about it. My daughter is allergic to dust mite, and within 10 minutes of checking in to the room she started coughing pretty badly. Luckily I had her anti allergy medicine handy. I only had to assume the dust mites in the carpet, headboard and bed triggered her allergy cough. Bathroom is old and tired but functional. Breakfast selection is very limited, and quality & taste is poor for a so-called five-star establishment. It's more like a three-star quality. The reason we booked here in the first place is because we were going to a wedding held at this hotel's ballroom in the afternoon. And it seemed to be our only consolation. Mal Ratu Indah (shopping mall) is right next door. But there's no connecting doors so you have to get out to get there. Find other hotel. I'm sure there's a better one nearby.

I stayed here for around 1 week was satisfied with the services. The foods i ordered were all good, and so the breakfast. This hotel is close to losari beach. I had a room with a view of sunset (perhaps from the beach?) and i just looooove it
