The house was beautiful with plenty of space inside and out. The kitchen was well appointed (although storage ware for leftovers and cutting boards would be a great add). Property very close to several wineries. Be prepared as little food and shopping options nearby and most places close early. Plenty of seating in the living area, at the dining table and outside for a large group. Checkin and checkout were simple.

This was an exceptional stay and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit. It was perfect for 6 women seeking a great time of fellowship. My friends and I rented this property for a weekend & it was absolutely perfect!! As close as you can get to Blue Sky Winery, and within 20 minutes of cool hiking in Giant City. House was very clean and cozy! There was also 24 hour surveillance of the property & it felt very safe. My friends and I will definitely be back :)

Family girl weekend

Family girl weekend of four generations ranging in ages from 13-81 stayed the weekend and had a great time being together visiting, playing games, shopping and eating out. Enjoyed the shops in Makanda and eating at Giant City Lodge. The house was very clean and spacious and was perfect for our weekend getaway. Everything was perfect!!!

We wanted a place to have a relaxing stay for friends with wineries nearby. This was a perfect place! The open concept was perfect for spending time together and the proximity to wineries was nice.
