Romantic Hotels in Makaha, HI

"The location is quite away from the beach and almost out of view - positing showed the beach, was misleading. The price was the same as the Hilton rainbow tower and I wish we had stayed there an extra night instead of this place. There was no communication with the host till I reached out 3 days before the visit. The email from expedia said to wait for an email but none came. The carpet was dirty in multiple areas, vents were grimy and made us feel gross breathing in air from these vents, the place needs maintenance, repairs and updating. It was very dated and felt like it was in the 60’s. The evaluator was also sketchy and would open the door before it stopped moving. The sheets had some women’s hair in it and the pillow cases were dirty. I took pictures because I was grossed out and surprised and the contrast from the listing and the actual place. Peacocks and roosters screamed all day and all night - not mentioned and should be as it was terrible. Good note - security was tight. Also you are not supposed to rent out these condos as it’s against the co do rules and so the owners gave us detailed instructions and how to get past security. Very disappointed with this whole stay. "

"Clean, as described studio apartment in a gated community on the far West side, Makaha. Pool and community barbecue area well maintained. Laundry room located within the complex. Very helpful staff in the main office."
