I had a comfortable and enjoyable stay at the Grand Hotel de la Gare. My check in experience with my bicycle was wonderful as the staff were so helpful, including providing secure parking for my bike at the station opposite. The hotel location is great for the station and it is an easy walk to the central part of the city where there are lots of restaurant opportunities. The rooms are quite basic - no kettle for example but was comfortable enough for an overnight stay. The breakfast was fine but had quite a limited range of options.

Convenient and affordable location

We were there for a night while traveling through France. Bed was comfortable and bathroom was spacious. The walls are very thin and we could hear every noise from the rooms down the hall. Convenient location by the train station and staff were kind and helpful.

Very comfy and convenient

The hotel is so convenient to the train station being only a minute's walk. The receptionists were helpful and very caring. The hotel is super clean and the decor is nice. I appreciated having a kettle in my room as I am an international visitor. The hotel is close by walking to some great tourist attractions and staff were able to tell me where there was a laundry near by. We dined at a local Italian restaurant just around the corner and the hotel has a brasserie under. It was a very pleasant stay and I recommend Angers to other travellers.

Our room unfortunately didn’t look anything like the pictures of the property on Orbitz. We had a very outdated room that could have used a lot of love. It was fine for a night but would not return The breakfast in the morning was nice and the staff was very pleasant.

I spent minimal waking time at my room, which has very weak Wifi and no kettle. Instead guests are allowed to have tea at the breakfast room just above the reception (you need to walk up the stairs). Nice staff and excellent location though.

Juste très déçu de ne pas avoir vu, mais cela n'était pas noté, qu'il n'y avait pas de clim mais juste un petit ventilateur. Les photos présentent vraiment très bien par contre. 137€ tarif exagéré par rapport à la "vétusté" de l'hôtel, une chambre très petite idem pour la salle de bain et et un petit déjeuné très classique. Accueil et personnel : très bien.
