Spring Break

We had an amazing time visiting our daughter and her family during their spring break. We drove from Florida and they live in Waynesville and it fit everyone’s needs. The big open kitchen allowed us to have breakfast in the morning and we cooked out on the grill and ate on the sun porch or outside on the deck. Their was so much room we had s’mores by the fire at night and enjoyed the hot tub all overlooking the mountains and minutes to publix.Well stocked with everything and we played games and really had a wonderful time! Only minutes to the blue ridge parkway! would love to come back!

Maggie Valley

Halfback Ridge is in the heart of Maggie Valley and is easy to get to. Property is flat with plenty of parking. The cabin is one of the nicest in M.V. that we have rented in 15 yrs.. The weather was excellent for early April and we enjoyed the wrap around porch. Cabin is very clean and well stocked. Popcorn machine was a treat. Comfy beds were nice. We won't hesitate to rent again as we visit M.V several times throughout the year. Book it and enjoy it.

Fantastic stay

We had a blast at halfback ridge. The hot tub and view were the perfect addition to a wonderful girls trip to the mountains. Jacquie was fantastic and super responsive with any questions. Would absolutely recommend and will return!

Perfect Maggie Valley Getaway!

Our stay at Halfback Ridge cabin was nothing short of spectacular! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by pristine cleanliness that immediately put us at ease. The hot tub and fire pit were the perfect spots to unwind and take in the breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. One of the highlights of our stay was definitely the popcorn machine! It added a fun and nostalgic touch to our evenings in. Plus, being able to bring along our furry friends made the experience even more enjoyable. What truly sets Halfback Ridge cabin apart is the attention to detail. It seemed like every possible need or desire we had while traveling was already anticipated and provided for. From kitchen essentials to cozy blankets, we lacked for nothing during our stay. We are already contemplating our return trip to Halfback Ridge cabin and cannot recommend it highly enough to anyone seeking a tranquil and relaxing getaway. Many thanks to the owner for sharing this slice of paradise with us!

Ski Getaway

Wonderful vacation. Home was very nice. Fireplace put out the heat - kept the thermostat lower than usual. Living room comfortable. Kitchen fully stocked. Hot tub was fantastic. So close to Cataloochee Ski Area- very convenient. Restaurants were close as well. We love Cataloochee and are repeat visitors. Would definitely stay again. Host was very responsive and easy to work with. One of our best Cataloochee experiences!

Best of both worlds!

We went skiing at Chatalooche, which was a short 10 min-ish drive from the cabin. The cabin was near some really yummy, authentic Mexican food, not to be missed. The views of the mountain range and the quietness of the area made for a lovely family vacay. Would def recommend and would love to return!

Second time

We returned to the cabin at Halfback Ridge after a visit in 2022. We were as happy with our stay this year as we were the first time. The accommodations are spacious and comfortable, and conveniently located to see and do things in the area. We plan to return again next year.

Great Location for Downtown

We were in town for a car show at the event field. It’s literally right across the street! Definitely walking distance, but only if you’re up for a big hill! House was very clean and exactly as described.

Weekend Getaway

The home was clean and super comfortable. The host has thought of everything! Nice towels, comfy beds, 2 coffee makers, popcorn machine, games, movies, 2 fireplaces, stocked kitchen, dog bowls, fenced yard, and even a welcome basket of goodies and a list of area recommendations. It was a chilly weekend so our favorite spots were the covered hot tub and the sunroom by the fireplace which both have amazing views.

Celebrating 50 years of friendship

Very Cozy, Great Location

The owners had clearly thought of everything you might need and more at this home! Jacqueline was super awesome and responded quickly! The home had wonderful spaces to enjoy inside and out. We loved that a portion of the porch was covered to keep cool from the afternoon sun but there was plenty of seating in the sun to soak up the rays when it's cool! We (and our dogs) enjoyed the fenced in area and even playing in the large and FLAT (hard to find in a mountain property) front yard for our well behaved off-leash fetch-a-holic. You get the view of the mountains and yet it is so convenient to the main road without driving up and down an entire mountain. Nearby downtown Waynesville is super cute and great for restaurants (Sweet Onion was delicious) and shops. There's tons of hiking and even waterfalls nearby as well. Overall I would definitely recommend staying here!

Minitruckin Nationals 2024

This place was amazing! Had all the amenities any one would need. Our favorite spot ending up being the fire pit and the porch where we had plenty of laughs and lots of relaxation. I was really nice to have a large yard that was flat nearly unheard of for a Smokey Mountain Cabin! We will definitely be back to stay here in the future. The host gave us her cell phone number and all communication was through text and made everything so easy not to have to bounce in and out of the app. Top notch!!!

Paradise - home away from home

This house was pristine! It looked and smelled wonderful when we walked in the door. I've never stayed in a rental that was so clean. The house is lovely, well-equipped with everything you could possibly need. The beds are comfortable and the bedrooms are large and very well set up for storage as well. There are multiple places to sit and enjoy the view and shared time. We utilized every space - the back screened in porch for breakfasts and game playing, the living room for evenings and movies with popcorn, the hot tub for relaxing, the fire pit for smores and laughter. We just had a ball. There isn't a LOT to do in town unless you like to browse shops which I do. We ate at the brewery which was excellent food and a very pretty view. The service there was fantastic and the beer was awesome. So thank you Jacqueline for your hospitality and we will recommend you to everyone we know!
