Peaceful, relaxing, and wonderful
My family and I greatly enjoyed our stay at Alta Vista. The view was exceptional, and we were loathe to leave the cabin at all during our stay!
Having entrances on 2 levels was ideal. My mother is 85 and does not do stairs well. I was able to drive her up to the main floor entrance, where she only had 2 steps to get up. -And there was a railing for her to hold on to. Once inside, she was able to maneuver around the main floor with no problems.
We enjoyed cooking together in the kitchen but were surprised that we had to purchase aluminum pans for our Thanksgiving baking and roasting. Otherwise, I would say the kitchen was very well stocked!
The place was mostly clean when we arrived. The kitchen floor needed a thorough sweeping, but overall, the place looked great.
The beds were comfortable; the fold out sofa-bed, not so much, but does anyone really expect it to be? :) We had brought an air mattress along.
The wi-fi went out in the evenings on several occasions, which was a bummer for my young nephews who enjoy playing Roblox and Minecraft, but we had plenty of other activities to do together . . . like air hockey (which was a huge hit).
Overall, we LOVED this home. It is tastefully decorated, but not cluttered, and so very comfortable! We are grateful that the owners shared it with us, and we look forward to making more family memories there!
