The Green Citadel of Magdeburg, designed as one of the last projects of the artist Friedensreich Hundertwasser, is the epitome of zest for life. The building in cheerful pink, shows dancing windows and golden tower balls, fragrant flower meadows and bulbous-colored columns. A new hotel has opened in the heart of this sensory oasis: the Arthotel in the Green Citadel, a three-star superior hotel, has been welcoming guests to the city since July 2013.
