Gunther is very responsive and nice to work with. The apartment is well located but also quiet. The kitchen was well- equipped. The apartment was clean and seemingly recently renovated. Only negative- it was too small for our family of 5 (my fault; I knew there were 2 bedrooms) but description says sleeps 8 and there were only 3 beds so I don’t see how that would work.

I cannot say enough about how wonderful are stay was at Royal Palace! Everything was perfect. In addition to the amazing location, beautiful furnishings, cleanliness, provision of essentials (coffee, shampoo, conditioner, hair dryer etc) and elevator convenience, Gunter was an excellent host - always responsive and patient. I had a bit of trouble entering property but the problem really was my lack of tech savvy and jet lag. Once figured out it was extremely easy - but the point is Gunter was extremely responsive and patient throughout my struggle. You cannot beat this location - so close to everything (the Palace, Mercado, Plaza de Sol, La Latina district etc) yet tucked back in a very quiet street. Except for one night - We were blessed with hearing the performance of the opera Otello from our apartment with the windows open (the music was being piped outside from the auditorium.) It was beautiful and truly special, even for those of us who are not particularly fond of opera!! It made the experience that much more special. (For those concerned about the noise - don't be. If we closed the windows we would not have heard the music and otherwise it was an extremely quiet apartment.) The parking was a bit of a distance from the apartment, but free!! So we were extremely grateful! We just dropped our things off at the apartment, parked the car and left it there for the duration of our stay as there is absolutely no need for a car from this location.Gunter, thank you!!

Thanksgiving in Madrid

The apartment was beautiful and ideally located to nice restraraunts and bars. Across the street, there is a beautiful little pastry shop. Although the owner gave great instructions, finding the entrance to the parking garage took a little effort.
