Spent 3 nights here with work and it was a great hotel. It was about 10 mins walk from the metro station which wasn’t bad, and there’s a small supermarket just around the corner from the hotel for anything you may need. Breakfast in the hotel was really good, lots of choice and all constantly replenished. I didn’t have an evening meal in the hotel but did have some drinks and the choice was really good. The rooms were a little unusual and the shower was a bit TOO open plan for my liking. It was actually in the bedroom and there wasn’t a door to close so it actually felt quite draughty and cold in there. Which bring me in to the room- it was quite cold! I had the heating on the maximum temperature almost the entire time but it only really got warm in the middle of the night when it had been on for hours. I would stay again, but maybe ask for a different room.
Stayed in this hotel this very recently and room was nice, staff friendly but there are some negatives. The hotel does not give clear directions on their site of how to get from the metro to the hotel, states that the hotel is only 500m away when it is further away. The hotel is situated in a residential area and it is not quiet. The hotel is surrounded by apartments and the noise from the residential road outside the hotel is quite bad at night. My room was on the front of the hotel, then in men collect the bins between 11pm and 12am at night every night. You also have to listen to the noise from the outside seating at the front of the hotel, the noise of the chairs and tables been chained up at night. This is my third visit to Madrid in recent months and it is better to stay in the city where there is far less noise. The hotel is very far out from the city also. Wifi in my room was very poor, kept cutting out, when watching an hour long programme , taking two hours to watch due to the poor quality of wifi.
A clean, modern hotel with an excellent dining area, great food and even better staff. The chefs, waiters, receptionist - an awesome bunch of people. They facilitated every request and made suggestions to make our stay better. The rooms were lovely and spacious, cleaned every day with the most humongous towels. The rooms smell absolutely lush. Breakfast is plentiful and a mixture of English and Continental. The location is ideal. In a quiet residential area with a Chinese restaurant next door and Burger King around the corner. The metro is a little below the hotel and several restaurants also in that area. 5 stops from there to the football stadium - we went and saw Real Madrid play in a friendly - and trains run up till 1:30am. Several stops more to Sol and you can shop to your hearts content and go on tours. The tours start from €12. A truly wonderful holiday. I wish to say thank you to the lovely guy in reception who worked Friday morning, the one who checked us in on Monday evening and the one that looks like Ironman.. lol. The wait staff and chefs a big kiss and thank you for making our holiday awesome. A lovely outside pool and parking available but could do with some bigger/longer poolside chairs. My daughter in the pic in her WINTER COAT in such lovely weather! Hehehehe
Before I booked this hotel I read quite a few reviews on here, the same comment kept coming up that the rooms are quite small and as the saying goes…. but to be honest I’ve never had much desire to swing a cat – which is as well as there’d be no room for doing so, however where size matters, the Hotel Mirador de Chamartin hotel delivers snug proportions of spectacular décor, the most comfortable bed, generous bathroom towels plus all the amenities one would need in a hotel room AND the luxury of windows that open. The location is in an upmarket residential area, served by the Madrid Metro Line 1 (blue line); Pinar de Chamartín is the closest station to the hotel and runs entirely underground into Central Madrid – Sol Station. Ticket cost is 2 Euros and the journey time is approx. 30mins. If like me you prefer to experience the culture and mix with locals then this mode of transport is a perfect way to get around Madrid. The hotel is well-served with a buffet for breakfast, a restaurant with outdoor terrace and a late-night bar. In-room mini bar and free wi-fi throughout the hotel for up to 3 devices is also provided. The outdoor pool is lovely but let down by no sun loungers or chairs – guests are expected to sit on the surrounding grass areas. To summarise, the Hotel Mirador de Chamartin is an affordable, stylish, buzzy hotel, trending on the bijou side and really comfortable, which for me is always bound to be a winner but despite all the pros, I would have liked to have a sun lounger to sunbathe.
Hotel itself is quite nice, nicely decorated, bit modern art. Unfortunately the staff is very disappointing, bad attitude and unfriendly. Seriously need to go on a customer service training. Also the gym is disappointing very small with too many machines to move around in. Opening time is only after 8.00am which is late. Although the staff said they can open earlier, when asked they do not. On a hot summer day the rooms are quite warm, the airco is set not to go below the 22c which will make the room temperature >24c.
We spent Saturday 10th & Sunday 11th June 2017 here. The interior is perfect. Quirky and beautiful. I can't fault the service, the Resturant delivers an array of dishes and it's moderately priced. The swimming pool is a great element specially when it was over 30 degrees. Some small drawbacks, there was no kettle in the room, would of been great to have a brew. The air-con stays on for only short bursts, not great when it's so warm. Yes it's a little far out but this could be good or bad depending what you want from your holiday/trip. We liked the laid back area but if your more in to site seeing this hotel probably isn't for you. As it can take over an hour to get back on the metro.
This trip was booked as a weekend away for myself and my husband. We had an amazing time in Madrid seeing the sights and eating and drinking plenty of the local food and drink. This hotel is a lovely hotel and the staff are very nice and friendly. The reason i have only given 4 stars is that i had a couple of niggles. There is a pool at the hotel which does not open until 12noon and there is no seating down there for you to use, we asked about this and where told that we needed to bring our own!! We had 2 towels in the bathroom when we 1st arrived and after the 1st day ended up with 1 to share as they were taken by the cleaners and not replaced. We were here for 3 nights!! Other than this the hotel was fine, very clean and well presented.
From outside the hotel looks great and fancy, with a couple of bars and restaurants on the side, apart from the name which is written on a piece of paper and very hard to find. Reception looks cool but tiny, and stairs are inconvenient especially because everyone has luggage. The room smelled like smoke, and there were hair on the bed. I was so tired I did not even bother asking for another room, but I will not be back.
Hotel Mirador de Chamartin is a modern style hotel, with nicely decorated hotel rooms, with mini bar and flat screen TV. Clean room, with modern style bathroom and shower. Romantic ;-). There are some bars, restaurants and a supermarket close to the hotel. The hotel is not really close to the city center but it is located within walking distance of metro station Pinar de Chamartin and from there a direct line 1 (blue line) to the city center (app. 20min.). Nice hotelbar (with TV screen) and good continental breakfast service. The swimming pool is temporarly opened (in summertime). When travel in low season you can have a very good last minute deal in this hotel; when high season i think it would be better to book ahead. Good value for the money.
It's a four stars hotel, but the roooms are not very big and the toillet it's quite small. However rhe breakfast and lunch alhought not impressive are quite good. There's also a terrace for the. Good parking for 14€/day. Decorations for the romos is modern and good taste. Not expensive, it can be a good place for a weekend or bussiness trip. A problems is that that you have no air-conditioned in Winter time, which can be a problem on a sunny day.
