Stayed in a twin room with my brother for a long weekend in Madrid and it was great. It's not in the city centre (Sol, plaza Mayor, etc.) but it's still a good location as it is right beside a metro station with a direct line to the city centre in less than 10 mins and it's also walking distance (15 mins) to the Santiago Bernabéu stadium, which was perfect for us. The room was comfortable and clean and considering the price we paid we were extremely happy. The reception staff also accepted to mind our luggage after check out so that we didn't have to walk around town with it on our last day. We didn't try breakfast and you get the feeling that it's a business hotel which totally makes sense with its location, but that was fine for us.
It's very nice 4 stars hotel with clean rooms and clean bathroom. The breakfast are good. Plaza de Castilla Metro station only 100 m from hotel. reception stuff are helpful, they fast at check-in and check out.
Even though this was a short stay, I just wanted to say Thank you to Patricia for helping me through out my stay and after. The customer care in this hotel was exceptional and would highly recommend this hotel for any Business short stay guests. Many thanks, Sol
We stayed in Exe Plaza for a city trip in Madrid. The hotel location is ideal, next to Plaza de Castilla, metro and bus station. Bedding itself is good, rooms are functional and buffet breakfast ok, although not the same quality every day.
Recently stayed at Hotel EXE Plaza on a business trip to Madrid. In my opinion, the Hotel is well run by friendly staff. The room was clean with all the necessities. Breakfast was very good offering a wide range to get started for the day. I did notice that many of the guests were business related although some seemed to be tourists. We did not eat at the hotel in the evening choosing instead to patronise one of the many restaurants in Calle del Capitan Haya. The bar serves tasty Tapas with drinks, as do most bars in Spain. The Metro is on the doorstep and there is a McDonald's next to the hotel if you prefer a more budget meal. There is a Sauna/Jacuzzi facility on the 11' floor, but annoyingly requires you book an hour in advance and pay €10 for the privilege and is open till 11pm. I would stay here again.
We stayed for a few days here with my wife for a short visit in Madrid. The hotel its conveniently located next to a metro and a bus station but not even that was close enough to the city centre touristic spots. Since there where a couple of metro renovations, you have to switch a couple times to reach the main areas and taking a bus was making a big sacrifice in terms of time. The rooms were okay, lots of space available, nice tv and nice beds as well. For adapters there is a 10 euro deposit if you need them and breakfast was a tad expensive for what they offer. Not a lot of food outlets around except for a next door McDonalds. Besides that, unless you need to be close to Via de la Castellana, I would not rely on this hotel for a touristic stay.
After 2 of 4 nights I'd better get this off my chest before it gets embarrasing. The location is ok, close to the Metro, but noicy due to the Castellana. No surprise. What surprises me is the quality of the breakfast. 1/5 compared to other hotels nearby. The room "service" battles with a chef that don't understand the meaning of a "green salad"; tuna and carrots, which I'm allergic to, and a poor waiter who did his best to explain. Lastly I never get to understand why hotels - so far I've only had this in Madrid - never test their gear; completely impossible to iron a shirt on a board that keep colapsing. Always remember; guests note the small anoying details.
Recently stayed at the Exe Plaza Hotel on a business trip to Madrid. The hotel is clean and fresh, great rooms and helpful and friendly staff. I didn't use all the facilities the hotel offered like the sauna or gym, but I'm told by colleagues these were of a good standard. I like to go out for walks, and the hotel is well situated to walk towards the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium, home of Real Madrid. There is a metro line right at the hotel which provides easy access into the centre of the city. The on site restaurant is open for lunch with evening meals served in the small bar area. The bar staff were great and the food good quality. Breakfast is continental style buffet with cereals, yogurts, cold cuts and cheese. There are hot options of scrambled egg and bacon which was my preference. Drinks consist of typical fruit juices, water and hot drinks from bean to coffee machines on a self serve basis. Overall a great stay and would definitely stay again. I would certainly give it a recommendation.
I booked this hotel through Booking.come because it was listed as a city centre hotel, but nothing was said about it being a commercial city centre and was not in walking distance of anywhere interesting. The bedrooms were great, clean and comfortable and the service was ok. The bar/cafe was open, but the restaurant was not and the food was a bit bland and our friend found that his burger was undercooked. Very fine hotel if you have business in that area.
Rooms clean and comfortable Bed waa very comfortable. No iron in room. Breakfast was continental and hot options plenty of choice. Central location mainly residential but right next to a Metro station and bus station. City centre was a 10 minute metro journey. I would definitely recommend
