We have just returned from a 10 night stay here. Hotel is very centrally located. We had a quad room which was adequate in size, with a large bathroom which had a separate bath and shower. Bed was very comfortable. Since we were on the 5th floor, AC did not always cool room sufficiently. on very hot hot days. Breakfast buffet was vast but lacked seasonal fresh fruit and salad. However there was a very good choice of cheeses and jamon, fresh bread, eggs and bacon and very tasty cakes and croissants. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Would recommend.
We spent a week at this hotel . The location is brilliant nearly as bang central as you could be. A short walk to all the main squares. Bus n underground stops. Hotel was basic & room was good size . Air con was a life saver n a must as it was so hot. We didn't have a window in the room which suited us as kept it cool and dark. Free safe in room and a mini bar (not free) On a negative no kettle in room I took my own. We had Breakfast one morning €10 each .. we went out most days as there are loads of little food places. Drinks in Madrid are expensive but u get really big measures of spirits. Madrid is a great place with loads to do and see would recommend the tourist squares, palace , bus tours football stadium tournament we went to mad cool music festival which was great. Highly recommended.
This hotel is situated in a fantastic location- near many lovely plazas bus tours , walking tours, shopping strips and eateries. The hotel rooms are basic but clean. We asked for another room as the room we were in had renovations next door. Daniel obliged and gave us a bigger room away from the noise. Breakfast had basic choices but it was good. The hotel also had a 3 hour blackout which wasn't really explained well. Value for money- not really.
Central and very clean. Was easy to get to and from. Just off the city centre, so was very easy to base yourself. Breakfast was generous if standard fare. Also near key shopping streets and stores. Fully recommended.
Fairly basic hotel with standard facilities but super clean and comfortable and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Wifi good. Parking is right next door and very secure. Has a roof terrace but I didn't check it out. Did not take breakfast. Location is great, very close to old part of city. Only downside was my window had no view but opened onto a central atrium so cigarette smoke flowed in. Air conditioning was good and meant I could keep the worst out although the room did smell still.
Very nice and helpful staff, great rooms, near to Puerta del Sol and Gran Via. The central location was very good. The roof terrace was lovely on the warm evenings. There are a few tapas bars nearby which is great!
The one guy who sits in the evening wears reading glasses and little old..sum1 needs to teach him what is the meaning of courteous.he seems to have forgotten that he is in the service industry. they were not willing to give me a cucumber for breakfast saying they don't keep. Rest all the staff are great especially the lady who's there in the morning. Rest the rooms are decent. And the location is excellent.
We stayed at Hotel Cortezo for 4 nights. We arrived at 11 am and were able to immediately check in. I had used some credit card travel points to book the room, so we could only afford to get a room with two twin beds instead of a queen sized bed or larger - but that didn't matter at all. This hotel is in literally the best location! Within walking distance to: Puerta del Sol, Gran Via, Mercado San Miguel, Plaza Mayor, Retiro Park (and the stunning Crystal Palace), Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum, Reina Sofia Museum, Prado Museum, and the Royal Palaces. And the Sunday El Rastro market! We especially loved how close it is to everything we wanted to do (and there's a great Flamenco place just up the street - Essential Flamenco). The room itself was everything we could want or need with comfy beds, a small fridge, private bathroom, dark curtains and A/C. Loved the cute rooftop terrace (although it unfortunately is not open very late). The staff was also very nice, kind and helpful. Overall, a great experience and would stay at Hotel Cortezo again in a heartbeat!
I have been at Hotel Cortezo, Madrid for four nights, since the beginning, we chose a Junior Suite E25. I just recommend you to stay at that spacious, and very comfortable room. It was a pleasure to have wonderful reception members, and the waitress were really helpful.
This was our third time in Madrid. We wanted a hotel close to La Gran Via and this was very good choice. The hotel needs some renovation in its lobby. The rooms were a little noisy at night. Has an excellent breakfast with hot and cold items. I would stay again, just for the breakfast.
