My boyfriend and I stayed at this hotel March 25th-28th. The hotel is a fantastic location - 5 mins walking distance to the main squares and the hop on hop off bus tours. The rooms were quite small and a little gloomy as we had no main lights, only lamps. All in all i would stay here again based on location.

I was visiting Madrid on business and took the opportunity to stay in the hotel as it is close to quite a lot of places. A business like check in, pleasant and efficient. The room was comfortable and clean, we even had a balcony for sun bathing, had it been that time of the year. I would stay here again.

Nothings exciting about this hotel, but for the price and location...it was great. It was clean and they set it up for 3 people just as we asked (3 twin beds). There is a safe in the room (couldn't find that on their website). I would stay here if in Madrid again.

What a well run hotel. staff are very helpful.room was spotless.breakfast was more than enough.right in the heart of the city.and they stored our luggage till we were ready to go to airport in the evening.

Hotel Cortezo is a good hotel centrally located to many attractions that Madrid offers. For example place mayor is only a 7 min walk. The rooms are fairly spacious for European standards with the usual tight elevator. After 10pm the neighboring Addams Family Show next door plays and you will be kept up for 2 hrs while the show go finishes. The walls are paper thin and you can hear your neighbor coughing. Breakfast is ok for the price but nothing to write home about. Front desk is polite and fully serviceable. If you are looking for a workout the gym is not the 5 star. It's about the size of a closet and has 4 machines from the 1990s. The room does have a brilliant view of the skyline though. In summary great location at city centre but don't expect a Taj Mahal.

Good hotel, convenient (but expensive) parking on the premises. Friendly front desk, where a Dutch lady runs a tight ship. The rooms are very decent.Points of criticism are few: The internet is slow and you have to log back in regularly, for some reason. No English TV channels, Spanish only. And the bathroom set up was rather odd. The toilet was placed uncomfortably close to the sink. Could have been a bit cleaner too.

Stayed for a weekend in November. Had a room on the first floor very clean well presented bedroom, bathroom a bit small bit of a strange shape and narrow in one part but as you only use it for ... what you need to use it for thats okay! Temperature was fine for us. When we book a hotel for a weekend break its basically somewhere to get changed shower and sleep and this hotel is good on all counts. Price was okay too and that kept the short break price really decent. The great thing with this hotel is the location. Very close to where all the bars and restaurants are. 5 min walk to nearest metro, bus stops at end of road and short walks to most main tourist spots. One thing to note though, this hotel is directly connected to the theatre next door and we were rather taken aback when the Addams family theme tune started belting out whilst we were back in the room getting changed. I assume it effects some rooms more than others. It didn't bother us I quite like the song to be honest and it made us laugh but its worth noting as there are late night showings of whatever is on, which begin at 10pm so either stay out later or join in with the songs !!

I really liked this hotel. Excellent location and the front desk were very helpful. The only problem I had was the noise and smoking. There were some people outside their window. Cigarettes and marijuana. But closing the window takes care of that. Regardless, I would definitely stay there again.

Stayed alone for 2 nights.Rooms and toilet were clean. I am vegetarian , not much options. Walls were thin, could hear across. Had issue with room access cards, had to approach reception 2 times to get the door opened. Wasted much time on this Location good near metro and in middle of centre

Stayed at the hotel for 3 x nights. The Hotel is in a great location, rooms are clean but hot! I did not try the food but did look Inthe restaurant at breakfast and there appeared to be plenty of choice. The staff were o.k and a little mixture of miserable and friendly depending on shift.
