Principe Pio, Spain.

Have stayed at this hotel before, close to all transport links (metro, train main line & busses), supermarket 2 buildings down. Had a great breakfast, plenty of selection, hot and cold. Shops just across the road, food and drink readally available, caters for all tastes.

Great location but the place needs lots if work

Excellent location Hotel needs badly to be renovated Every thing in it is old Service at front desk and bar and restaurant was very good The neighborhood excellent and you have the subway just Across the street but please put some money onto renovating the place it looks like the last time they renovated the place was in the 1960’s

We were given a room where the toilet was leaking and ants going around in the bathroom. We requested a change of room and were assigned a small single bed room, which tight for the two us.

Service was terrible, rooms didn't have air conditioning, it was dirty and smelly. The surrounding areas around the hotel were so nasty and horrible. We had a reservation for three days and we only stayed one night. I do not recommend this hotel

Basic Hotel a bit overpriced

This hotel seemed be be full of coach parties and groups of children. The interior style was 1960's with fittings to mtach all well worn. The breakfast was very basic and not worth the 10euros. Location was ideal for my trip but quite some distance from the main sites. I had a view of the inside courtyard. Ideal if all you want is a clean room near the Princip Pio station. Lots of eating places nearby but brush up on your Spanish to read the menues as not many are in English!

The location is the best thing. The Room is comfortable and clean. Breakfast is ok but could be better. The only place with wifi is in the loby !

Great Location, comfortable room

This hotel is very conveniently located next to Principe Pio Train Station and just a few blocks away from The Royal Palace. The rooms where roomy and the beds comfortable, but the bathroom shower can get a better scrub. The reception was just great and very accommodating. The hotel offers breakfast, which we never used. There are a few very well priced restaurants just down the street, which after a long day of sightseeing came in very handy.

stayed one night, noisy guests in corridor speaking and shouting loudly in corridor and knocking on doors. Not the hotel's fault, but made for a disturbed night's sleep. Room was basic, a bit old fashioned. Ok for a brief stay. Good location.

good location, but not a good hotel

The hotel was in good location, and that was about it. You could here people talking next door, you could here people in the bathroom, toilet flush, showers etc, walls were very thin... The room needed a good dusting, there were cob webs & dust all over. The computer room didn't work, luckily I had a smart phone the check into airline tickets. I would definitely not stay here again.

Terrible hotel!

It is a dirty hotel, very old fashion. Smell very bad. The temperature was very high around the 78 and they shut off the a/c. We had to open the window and all the street conversation and different noises were in our room. The only thing that is recommended- the cafeteria. Pedro Garcia is an excellent waiter and the food and service we received was very good.

great location and service

I really like this hotel. Its definitely dated but I still love the green lounge/living room and the pink tile in the bathrooms. The staff are super friendly. It was cheap and an easy metro from Barajas and easy walk to the centro. The room are pretty plain but clean and at 106 degrees, the airconditioning was vital!

Excellent location for travel around Madrid

My fourth stay here so something must be good about it. Unfortunately this time they had a record of 4 of teh 5 rooms I booked so thankfully I had taken my invoice/receipt to prove booking but that was worrying. The rooms are basic with poor selection of English language TV but at least air con worked. The worst aspect is the breakfast which is average quality but is at least buffet style with a wide choice. The best thing is location right opposite Principe Pio with train and Metro links to everywhere so travel is easy and just a short walk to the Royal Palace and into city centre. Best value 4* in the city, others are nicer but this is better value for money everything considered.

nice hotel convenient for centre of Madrid.

Have stayed at this hotel many times. Always it is nice, central and close to the Metro. Also it was close to Athletico Madrid's ground where I had decided to go to watch a match. Walking distance in fact. I will continue to use this hotel as it is reasonably priced, and continues to tick the boxes for me.

Good hotel well located

Not the newest hotel probably but good location, price and big rooms are the strongest point. Walls seems thin so it can be heard talking or moving from other rooms with few group of students often there.
