AC Hotel Aitana by Marriott4.0 out of 5.0

Very understated hotel, nothing immediately impacts you, but that's one of its charms. It's a perfect hotel for the finance district, but also really good for a AC Madrid match too, being a short walk from the stadium. Subdued, restrained, quite, confident. The staff are very friendly and deal with you in an unhurried, unflustered way. They exude efficiency. The rooms are large enough, clean, have good desk space and a stand out feature are the bed linens which are very high count cotton, some of the nicest sheets I've slept in away from home, and I am a thread count nerd. No tea and coffee making stuff as far as I could find. Mini bar! The restaurant might seem like it's not working, but it is. There's a great San Miguel on tap and the little menus hide some really lovely food given it's not much more than a bar menu. I had a caesar salad with crispy chicken, on another night a tuna salad. Both very nice. A colleague had steak which even for this flexitarian looked delicious. Breakfast is the usual continental buffet fair, but with lots of selection, some nice breads and fresh fruits and sweet pastries among the usual choices. Coffee is one of these pod affairs which I am not keen on due to the waste they produce (plastic pods). Otherwise enough to eat, of good quality and choice. All in all an absolutely safe bet for a business trip. No surprises, no disappointments, just a solidly good hotel.
Great place to stay especially if you are visiting the Bernabeu Stadium. Clean and modern, fast check in. We cannot say enough good things about the staff here. They were very friendly and extremely helpful. Alex, Ruth and Martha were especially kind and helpful to us during our stay here. Thank you for making our first stay in Madrid pleasant!
We have stayed here 3 times as so convenient for Bernebeu and overall we like- food good, and most staff really pleasant and welcoming. Breakfasts very expensive and can be noisy. Although a silly thing we were really quite unhappy on our latest visit - we eat in the lounge intentionally to watch la liga to which is not available in the room. Only 3 other customers in lounge and at the request of one of them, just as the match started, staff turned TV over to basketball without asking if we minded, even thought we were obviously watching the football. I went to reception and informed the staff member that I thought this was rude, and he should have perhaps asked us first - I said not to change back as did not want to cause too much of a fuss, but just wanted to give feedback. 2 minutes later at the request of the same customer (who was only drinking coffee and glued to their laptop throughout!) the staff then put the TV sound on too - I felt this was a bit provocative given I had only just suggested they should have shown more respect when changing channel and I did then ask for them to turn sound off - the staff view was it was for me to object not for them to ask if we minded - sorry, thought we were customers! I can't help but feel the other customer was given priority because they were Spanish.........as I say small issue really, but why so wrong to expect respect?? Might look somewhere else next visit.
Stayed here for one night while on business. Great location for business as my workplace was only a 400m walk away. Check in was fast and efficient. Room was a good size, modern and well appointed & clean. Nice bathroom. Big flatscreen TV but with a distinct lack of English speaking channels - BBC World is pretty useless, good job there is plenty of things to do in Madrid (like eating good food) in the evenings
Just got back from a great three nights in Madrid and watched Reql Madrid play Granada. The hotel location is fantastic for the Stadium just a few hundred yards. The hotel is quite functional but the staff are great and the price is good. What really annoyed me is the rip off breakfast price of 22 Euro for the worst continental breakfast I have had any where in the world.Marriott should be ashamed .We got taken the first morning but after that we went out and found great cafes at the back of the stadium for 5 euros each.Such a shame that the hotel would skim its guests in this way. We would go back for the stadium but never to eat .Be warned
I have been in this hotel a few times. Very good price / quality ratio. The recepcionists are very professional and the position of the hotel was perfect for my requirements. The rooms are confortable and clean. The restaurant is small but good and the bereakfast was excellent. Highly recommended.
A little away from the city centre, but close to the conference venue we were attending and under 30 minutes by metro into town. The reception staff were helpful and courteous and the room was very quiet as requested (712). Unusually these days the window could be fully opened to cool the room temperature if/when needed. Bed very comfortable, WiFi very effective and an in-room safe was provided (although it was located at floor level, not the easiest location). Minor improvements could be the inclusion of a lavatory brush and the provision of hand tissues. Bar prices very reasonable for a hotel of this calibre.
This hotel is situated on the outskirts of Madrid close to Real Madrid´s football stadium. Public transport is very good metro and buses. The only comment is that the hotel is close to a very busy main road and the traffic noise is constant. Triple glazing is recommended
This is a comfortable, quiet hotel that is perfect for business trips or for anyone who wants to stay close to the Real Madrid Stadium (Estadio Santiago Bernabéu). There is decent food in the hotel, a fitness center, a modern room, and comfortable bed. I was in town for business, so I stayed close to the office. The hotel is about a 20 minute train ride or a 10-15 cab ride to the center of town. I arrived on a Sunday and many restaurants and stores in the area were closed because this hotel is not in the city center. If you're less worried about location, this is a quality hotel for the price.
I stayed 3 nights in this hotel, quite outside the center and close to the Real Madrid stadium, totally well connected to the center through busses and metro very close (around 15-20'away). The first floor is influenced by the traffic in term of noise. Good breakfast, wide choice. Helpfulf personnel. No carpets! Perfect for allergies to dust. Very clean! Wide TV with a lot of channels from the word. Quality of amenities could be better. Restaurant not tried, just an expensive coffee (3,5€). I'd return
