A quiet neck of the woods but with wifi and a/c!

Consider this: a dirt road leads you to a secret half-mile drive that winds through the beautiful wooded property, leading to your home away from home. Sounds whimsical, right?! Don't worry, the dirt road and drive are easy to traverse with any vehicle; no 4x4 needed! Pulling up to the house you'll see a large fire pit area to relax under the stars and roast some marshmallows. There's plenty of parking and open space here. Please feel free to use the large field for target practice, fetch with the pups or maybe even a dirt bike ride. If you're relaxing by a window or outside, you'll likely see a wide array of wildlife venture out nearby. We regularly spot turkeys, deer, groundhogs, black bears, bobcats, and chipmunks. The living quarters of this beautiful house is up a flight of stairs, keep this in mind for those of us with creaky knees.. But! Once you're up there you'll have everything you need. With two cozy bedrooms, one featuring a queen bed and the other a fun bunk bed, you can easily sleep 4. There's also a large sectional couch for that one friend who decided to join the trip at the last minute.
You'll have all the essentials.. you know, wifi, air conditioning, and heat.. I guess a shower and full kitchen are essential too.. We have that as well. Oh, and don't forget a washer and dryer, just in case your outside adventures get a little too muddy.
While you're here, you can enjoy your little patch of heaven out in the woods or you can venture out. Thompson is a quiet little town surrounded by stunning natural areas such as Hogback Ridge Park, Girdled Road, Hidden Valley Park, and so many more, great for hiking and outdoor adventures! Explore the nearby wineries and farms. If you wander a bit further, you'll find towns like Chardon, Concord, and Painesville, which are full of wonderful restaurants and entertainment. Plan your trip around some of NE Ohio's big events like the Great Geauga County Fair and Renaissance Festival or take a weekend ride to find car shows and farmers markets.
All in all this unique property is perfect for the outdoorsy folks who want to get away from the noise and hustle. This house has been lived in and loved for many years and is by no means a commercial vacation rental. We are just a family sharing the home we loved for years but have outgrown. It's not perfect; there may be a crayon mark or two, but it is a magical little spot hidden in the woods worth sharing with you.
