Once again we were welcomed as if we were family friends. Joan Puts and his team were, as before, helpful with all enquiries and requests. This was our third visit and we plan to return soon. Check in was efficient and quick. On our last visit we ate in the hotel restaurant, but chose this time to eat in Valkenburg. The restaurant we chose was no where near our past experience of the hotel restaurant though. The hotel restaurant has a great menu and great service.
Stayed in this hotel for four nights rooms we were given were comfortable but lacking in certain areas. Staff on arrival were friendly and helpful and on Saturday night member of staff was very accommodating in getting us an evening meal even after 1700. Different staff yesterday and 1730, no evening meal. Hotel has a nice lounge area but in my opinion rooms need some more tlc and decor to make it a hotel that people would enjoy with parking could be closer to hotel.
The staff at this hotel were the most accomodating, entertaining and helpful I have come across. They wanted to nothing but be friendly and enjoy our visit. I feel that we have found new and lasting friendships with the manager Joan Puts and his staff. The chef produced superb meals and the bar staff were so helpful and pleasant. The rooms was spotless and comfortable. I am already looking to return. Thank you to Joan, Michael and Tina for a wonderful stay.
In a Valkenburg full of hotels, Fletcher Hotel is rather "poor" than "average". Small rooms, defect water pipes in the bathroom, huge prices (about 85 euro/night one person). Bar closes at 10. Still you can get a beer and put it on the room. For sure, I won't come back there.
Small room- we were on a group event and sharing with strangers so not ideal to have a twin where it is really like a double. It was in a quiet spot though. Breakfast average. Quite nice downstairs with sofas to chill out on and a beer garden. Probably would stay again depending on the price.
This must be by far the worst hotel i ever stayed in, even the formule 1 in the Paris Beaulieu Will top this one easy. Rooms are from the last Century, the rooms interior looks like it was picked up from the garbish bin or a charity collection point. Very badly cleaned. Just avoid this place now you still can!
We stayed for two days at Fletchers Hotel in Valkenburg. Good service and good diner; Rooms may be improved. The town of Valkenburg is only 20 mintes away on foot. This little town is worth a visit and have a lot of nice cafes and restaurants
We arrived very late due to traffic problems and the hotel was not easy to find as it is in a residential neighbourhood, with a sister hotel of the same name in a more prominent position. As we were so late the hotel reception had closed and there was no night porter, but our keys had been left in an envelope behind a potted plant by the front door! Once inside the corridors and rooms were very shabby and basic, but the beds were comfortable, the rooms warm and there was an extensive selection of international tv channels. The breakfast buffet in the morning was excellent and the dining room, lobby and bar were much smarter than the rest of the hotel. The hotel is in a good location for walking into to town and is good value for money.
My boyfriend and i came to this hotel for my birthday and we were very disappointed. . The rooms are tiny. The bathroom was so uncomfortable. . I could sit on the toulet and put my feet in the shower, and im not that tall. We had a view of a roof. It is very noisy. We could hear the people who were above us walking around all the time. The wifi didnt work and the breakfast was average. I am very disappointed. I have paid half the price for a better hotel. Definitely not 3 star value.
What a disappointment for what we had of a Fletcher hotel. From outside it looks okay. Reception area very basic. But when we went up... can't believe our eyes how outdated it is for a Dutch standard. Room too tiny for a 2 person, not worth the price we pay.Toilet is too tight specially for a thick person. Doors with key locks of ages. . Carpet must go to the garbage already. No character at all. Creeky floors & stairs.Everywhere needs total facelift or renovation. Parking was minimaal, a stone throw from the hotel. It is a pity because we thought of a " Fletcher hotel quality ". This is just almost a one star accomodation.
