Stayed here in October as part of a work conference and also to participate in the Eurogress in Aachen. My stay was very comfortable with the Hotel & staff very nice. The bar was good in the evening, the breakfast in the morning was great with plenty of choice. The lunches were also very good again with plenty of choice. Highly recommend as a great place to stay. My only regret was that i didn't make the most of the Spa facities on site, i will save that for next time
We chose Bilderberg Kasteel for our wedding party. All our guests stayed here for 3 nights. Everything about the event from the venue location, room cleanliness, service quality, restaurant services was great and we highly recommend this place for any type of event. Impressive level of dedication and commitment from entire Bilderberg team.
What a great hotel.... The service was just excellent throughout the stay, from a query when booking the hotel until departure with the late checkout. Perfect hotel for families including our dog which was given his own blanket and biscuits! The extensive grounds are just lovely to walk around in even during a rainy autumn weekend. We hope to return soon again.
Great hotel in a very nice place. Not only the location is nice, but the whole hotel is great. Rooms are spacious and comfortable, restaurants and bar are excellent and staff very helpful and friendly. It’s a great hotel either to spend a weekend with your family and enjoy the region or, for a business convention. As I was there for business, now I would like to go back with my family.
Kasteel Vaalsbroek is just outside the small town of Vaals and surrounded by beautiful countryside. Major tourist destinations like Aachen and Maastricht are less than half an hour away and make this hotel a great base to explore. Having said that the hotel itself has a lot to offer so it wasn't even always necessary to venture far. With its historic setting it makes for good walks around the estate, with sculptures scattered around for added interest. There is a large pond and a stream crossing the site for local wildlife and the outdoor terraces overlook the landscape beautifully. An extensive breakfast buffet is served in the main house (castle) where there are the larger facilities for events while the rooms, restaurant, bistro and spa facilities are in a historic building and modern extension across the pond and park. The spa offers treatments and has a decent pool and sauna and while we haven't tried the restaurant the bistro is cosy inside and outside and offers a good informal menu. The rooms are spacious and there are linked rooms available - good for families ! There is plenty of parking and bicycles including E-bikes can be hired on site. Service was professional, friendly and multilingual as would be expected in a setting that is only a couple of kilometres away from the point where the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany meet in one point. Overall higly recommended.
The old buildings are beautiful and make a very charming setup together with the green landscape. The rooms were good, reakfast and dinner were good as well. There is a nice little bar/pub on the premises as well - with the option to sit outside at the pond. Service was good and efficient, lots of parking ...
Beautifull area with hills and woods . Nice a place for a walk or a bicycle ride Enjoy the view on the highest point nearby where 3 countries meet, the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany. Climb the tower and have a splendid view.
As a stopover we stayed for one night at Vaalsbroek and enjoyed an excellent three course meal. Staff is welcoming and courteous, the room spacious and the surroundings pleasant. It should be noted that the castle itself is used for events only. The bedrooms are in a separate building. I will return!
There are sufficient and good restaurants in Vaals. We ate in Ristorante Pizzeria Mari e Monti. Friendly service; good quality and reasonable price. Restaurant Napolion is very romantic and quality food. Buitenlust in Vijlen has a wonderful view from the restaurant, but, the food is not that special.
The swimming pool was great for kids and the room was quiet and very spacious. A bit annoying that for breakfast we had to leave the building where we stayed overnight to reach the main castle and that most of the castle rooms were not accessible for guests.
