It's a quiet place. The rooms are modernized. The location is near the trainstation and 15 min from the centre. The trainstation is not the best place to be. After all, it's a good price for the rooms.
Hotel is very good with excellent breakfast with lots of variety and comfortable bed, HD TV. Very close to perrache station. Also has a bar service with good beer, wine and also has taxi service and restaurant.
I really suggest hotel Axotel perarache because of comfortable and clean room, good breakfast and very good hosting. the price of room is good too! the hotel has easy accessible to tramway, train and shopping.
Very good hotel on your way to the south. It is located nearby the A7 but in a quiet street. The staff is friendly and helpful. The subway to the old city takes only a 5 minutes walk. The parking mentioned on every site of the hotel is too far to be convenient.
Hotel was Near tram. We tried to walk to the centre but it was difficult so we would recommend tram. A room fridge would be a bonus, especially in hot weather. There was No room safe either. All in all a very good hotel. Staff helpful.
The hotel is 1 min from bars restaurants and shops ,the staff were fantastic and spoke very good English. The room was fine and the shower was great ,breakfast was nice and the hotel has a lift if you have cases
We found the staff very disinterested and unhelpful. Hotel staff were hard to get in contact with and on occasions we were left waiting outside for over 15 min until such time as they could open the front door after hours (just before 11pm). Unfortunately we would not recommend this hotel to our friends and family who are planning trips to Lyon next year and the year after.
A budget feeling hotel, but a good one. Rooms are small, but clean and comfortable (really comfy bed, slept very well). The staff were all really lovely and friendly. The buffet breakfast was pretty basic, but perfectly adequate to keep you going for the morning. Although slightly away from the main sights this hotel is well positioned close to a station/metro and tram stop. The tram takes you direct to/from the station which the Eurostar train stops at which was perfect for us. If what you are looking for is a couple of night's somewhere comfortable and clean close to transport links then I'd definitely recommend this hotel. (N.B. Surprised by previous comments about it being in a not so nice area. The area is fine. There is even a kids playground on the same street. I can only imagine these reviewers are less used to the appearance of cities.)
My wife and I were traveling all around France from north to south and back again for two weeks to celebrate our 30th Anniversary. I cannot comment on the price-value ratio because I used airline points to book this hotel for two nights. The hotel was nice enough and relatively clean. The outdoor area was nice to sit out and enjoy some wine and a snack at night. The staff was helpful and friendly. We were there during a heat wave and the A/C was more than adequate which was very welcome! My main complaint is with the size of the rooms. Being from the US, we're used to large hotel rooms but I've traveled in Europe enough to expect, generally, smaller rooms. Our room would have been small even for one person but with two people traveling with larger luggage, there was no where to put away our cloths and the hanging space was tiny. We literally had to leave our luggage open on the floor and live out of them. This reduced the floor space even more. We were constantly tripping over things.
Around the better Ibis hotel standard. A little over- priced for what it is. Good access to T1 tram at Suchet and the Garre Perrache nearby. Rooms are small but comfortable enough. Shower had good water pressure. No kettle for tea / coffee, which is irritating if you are used to that as standard. The area is quiet and residential with a lot of student flats about serving the nearby UCLy.
