Restored 1840's Downtown Loft Near Blue Ridge Parkway

Experience a taste of 19th Century urban life with all the conveniences of today. On the second floor of the Centertown Bedford building known as Lawyers Row, The loft offers an ingenious and tasteful 2 bedroom, 1 1/2 bath apartment with complete kitchen. It includes one large bedroom with queen sized antique rope bed and one sleeping loft with trundle bed (2 twin-sized beds) accessed by a beautiful handmade heart-pine staircase/ladder. Decor offers plaster and exposed brick accents, authentic milk paint wall coatings, and original heart-pine floors. Together with a comfortable sofa, the Loft can accommodate up to three business travelers or a family of five. The kitchen is fully equipped, and includes soapstone countertops and an inviting simulated-coal fireplace. A washer and dryer are on site, and all towels and linens are furnished. We're pet and kid friendly but please, no smoking.

Pours out the charm

This rental was hands down the #1 place I have stayed. The charm, the detail, the uniqueness of this rental is, sigh, so on point. Its cozy, but fit our needs perfectly. The hubs and I were in the bedroom. The 20 and 14 year olds stayed comfortably in the loft. The 1.5 baths was a major perk too. The kitchenette was more than enough for our needs. Parking was easy, we got right in front of the unit each night. But, the assigned space and overflow was very convenient, even if we didn't need it. We will be staying here again!

This place was just perfect for the two of us, and the last night…4 of us! We were here for Liberty University’s graduation…25 minutes away. It was so nice to get out of that hustle and bustle of traffic and people to this cozy, restful retreat. The details of this place are extraordinary, far beyond expectations. The owner made it so easy, and was responsive to all messages prior to our stay! The only regret is not knowing about this place until now!

What a great respite stay on our way back from Florida. The scenery is beautiful; the lodgings were cozy and unique. This was great fun. The Crab house was outstanding and Amanda the bartender knew how to make a wonderful oyster shooter. Not sure we will ever be that way again, but if we were we would definitely stay again.
