Internet good., staff is very nice, the bar downstairs is nice and handy for a drink, bed comfortable and pillows., shower Very good, heating nice and adjustable. We had supper once in the restaurant, it was good but I wasn't impressed. No face towel here (or flannel). We asked. Bring your own, just bath towels. Parking: good if you come with a little car , in Nov. and not Friday or Saturday night. Not enough place, hard to turn around, super small! Must be terrible in high season. I would forget it.

Excellent hotel - made our weekend! Warm, comfortable and clean bedroom and bathroom, which has plenty of storage and was well stocked with hairdryer and hot drink making facilities with plenty of different types of hot drinks and biscuits. The staff were all very warm and friendly at all times. Swimming pool and jacuzzi was a big bonus. Breakfast was brilliant - lots of choice on the buffet and a big menu of freshly cooked breakfast options. Pub area was, like the rest of the hotel, warm and welcoming. The location was brilliant. We will definitely be back and will definitely recommend to our family and friends.

We've stayed at the Royal Lion before and nothing much has really changed which is actually a positive. Our room was very clean and the amenities were very good but the window in the indulgence room we had did not close fully and left a draught and let quite a lot of noise in from the street although the location is excellent which is what you are really paying for. The breakfast is also excellent but our evening meal was quite average in quality.

Room was adequate but the sloping floor was uncomfortable. My husband is an artist but was unable to use the desk as it was placed on a narrow plinth and the sloping floor made it impossible to move.

Yes the room was spotless. The staff were great . There was a massive choice for breakfast. It's a shame Expedia take the money and don't pay the hotel for ages. I. Shall book direct through the hotel next time.

We checked in on a rainy Sunday afternoon. The feeling of comfort when we stepped into the Royal Lion and how we were welcomed made our day. Awesome hotel in a quaint seaside town! Rooms came as advertised. Would recommend staying at the Royal Lion if you are planning on going to or through Lyme-Regis. Try stay a Sunday night as the roast beef dinner was devine!

Family feel to this charming old hotel. Built in 1600s. Short walk to the beach. Surrounded by shops and pubs/ restaurants.Large free carpark. Excellent food and lovely staff. We had a large en-suite bedroom which was a little dated but very comfortable bed and very clean. Tea, coffee and biscuits filled up each day. Hidden gem was a swimming pool and jacuzzi which you could hire for an hour just for us. Really enjoyed our 3night stay and would love to go back.
