The reception area needs a lot of organization and space. Employees are so busy that no one answers the phone. They have desks more like tables and everything is a mess! Papers everywhere, hard to talk to them without everyone overhearing! Very noisy busy area I was asked to wait for hours in the area no welcome drink or anything until my room was ready.
I had reserved transfer from airport with a confirmation but unfortunately no pick up was made! While checking in I was asked to pay the transfer!!! I was so angry and had to prove it didn’t happen, what a welcoming experience to a relaxing vacation!
I had reserved half board and when I went to dinner I was stopped at the door to pay, when I protested they let me in no verification!!!!
The main restaurant, buffet style, has poor quality and variety of food, not at all what I expected from a 5 star hotel. I am used to staying in hotels in Egypt and restaurants are all dazzling with all sorts of food creations, art and taste!
Staff is local very kind and friendly but they don’t know how to talk to hotel guests. As if they were hired without training. I visited that same hotel 20 yrs ago, so different!
I booked last minute, almost double the price, a deluxe room. Spacious, clean but again, being used to 5 stars hotel rooms I see missing: bathrobe, slippers and all bathroom kits! Lately I see loofah, shaving kit, toothbrush and toothpaste, shower cap, vanity kit,… where are these? Fridge was empty, 2 water bottles in room.
