This is a lovely little hotel in a great position in Luxor. The rooms are a little tired but the staff and views more than make up for this. Lovely gardens and swimming pool is great. Would definitely stay here again, no question.
Hotel is a modern style high rise building, standing right at river Nile. It is a huge hotel with lot of uncovered area with bank of Nile river. Large lobby with seating area. Rooms are spacious and large, large bathrooms, basic amenities, safety deposit box, clean bed sheets and comfortable beds. Balconies are covered with greenery. Rooms are not luxurious but still very clean and comfortable, overall hotel is a calm place, staff is polite and co-operative, specially both the receptionist (one man and A lady) both were extra helpful. There is a decent Bar and Restaurant in the hotel. Luxor railway station is 15 minute walk from hotel and you find many food/dining options and s hops in that area. In my opinion Luxor is a tricky place for tourists and you find countless people roaming around the local hotels to catch and grab some money from tourists, The hotel is really good but unfortunately my personal experience is not pleasant about the habitants.
everything is super, the rooms, the service, the food, the pool -such a wonderful location- it is a pity there is no activity around the pool, maybe the guests don't know, but at the end came a very annoying news: we as Europeans could not pay with the Euro-Visa card, it had to be Dollars?????????????? Certainly, the hotel-websites should warn us! What are we to do if we really do not foresee such a situation Fortunately, again, the very helpful staff found a solution
Although the property is in a very good location, my whole experience was not so great with the manager. Mr. Mohammed at the reception was very rude to me. When I asked him to help me with the billing, he asked me to go away. I was really appalled by his words and as I tried to communicate this to him, he asked me to keep quiet. This is totally unprofessional of him to behave in such a way. Although I should say the property is very good. This is a typical example of what a bad manager can do to a good property. My whole experience was scarred because of this man.
Stayed here just for one night while stopping through Luxor to see the sights. While the rest of Luxor was a slight letdown (lots of hasslers, be warned!!) this hotel was great and a respite from all this. While the hotel is a bit dated, it reminds me of what Egypt once was and hopefully one day the tourism will bounce back and make the hotel great again. My highlight was breakfast, staff were very attentive and I loved the cats that hung out in the outside area. It is a bit disheartening seeing animals in the streets and the way they're treated so it was nice to have the local cats rubbing up against you during breakfast and playing with each other. Made me smile!
We stayed there during 1st week of September. The hotel was almost empty as this was not ideal tourist season. The hotel is located at the bank of Nile and having nice portico and view. However, the service was not impressive. They gave us a room and AC was not working properly. The window was not closing and we had to call the mauntanece guy to fix that. They won't provide you drinking water in the room so you need to buy that. Breakfast was moderate and didn't have too many choices . If you want to have a nice view over looking nile , you can stay there but don't expect outstanding service :)
Although somewhat dated and tired This hotel is comfortable and staff are second to none. They'd bend over backwards to serve you, to make sure you are comfort and happy. However, albeit wifi availability, you have to constantly log in each time you use it which is laborious and annoying. In addition, wifi strength in rooms and pool area is really poor. The last but not the least, there is no spare mobile phone or laptop charging socket in room, you'd have to unplug one of the lamps in order to charge your device at night. That means you can't use that lamp.
I love the Hotel, have stayed here 3 times. The rooms are very comfortable and you have your own safe for your valuables. The view from our balcony was just magnificent, we could see right across the Nile to the Valley of the Kings. Also I must mention the garden. We spent hours out here just watching the boats go by and getting pelted with fruit from the fruit bats which were in the trees, I loved it and we laughed so much. The food was great and the staff were always ready to help. In my opinion it is one of the best hotels in Luxor.
I stayed here for 10 nights in summer 2017, for the first time. I was waiting for my nearby flat to become available again. I think I paid something like £16 sterling or less a night with breakfast via Booking.com! I have to say, I was completely surprised by how very good this hotel turned out to be! - superb location nileside on the east bank, within walking distance of all the main areas such as TV St, the Corniche, the Winter Palace hotel, the hotel strip further down the street the other way where the Sonesta is and all the best restaurants - room was perfectly adequate, in fact given the price, it was unbelievably comfortable and clean with lovely bed linen, comfortable bed, a nice balcony (which they all have), good size, plenty of storage, nice bathroom with bath, good aircon - friendly, professional staff who were always ready to offer help - very nice gardens, terrace and the pool is of good size - good housekeeping with consistent timings and high standards - pleasant, helpful and friendly check-in staff - spacious communal areas - very nice spread at breakfast, good quality food, except the juice smelled like goldfish-bowl water and should have been fresh, no excuse for no fresh juice in Egypt! - good security The only negative thing I can actually find to say is regarding the breakfast management: the sometimes noisy staff eat in the breakfast restaurant (I really don't like that in any hotel) and the working staff are far too eager to start whipping everything away, sometimes even well before the 10am breakfast cut-off. Really, 10am is too early for breakfast to close, it should be 11am. Also, there were three occasions when the maitre d of the breakfast room refused entry to guests (not me) even at 9:45am, saying "we are closing now." He didn't even let them come in and grab something which they asked to do. It just wasn't very nice for those paying guests to be denied their breakfast in this way. Hang on until the proper closing time! Another small gripe: please don't say that the juice is freshly squeezed when you can be seen emptying a Juhayna carton into some crushed ice (I'm looking at you bar staff and breakfast staff!). After querying this the bar staff did make me fresh juice every day. I definitely recommend this hotel, especially if you are on a budget and want to be comfortable and get a surprisingly high standard of comfort- and even if you 're not on a budget, it easily passes muster for a higher star hotel grade. They could easily get away with charging twice the rate at least. Thanks for a lovely stay!.
