Chose this hotel as it was nicely located at the edge of the city and close to the highways. Good parking onsite which is helpful. Downside is the surrounding area is undergoing a huge refurb on the roads and traffic system so trying to get to the hotel is eventful and can be hard. But worth it. Rooms were very good.
We were a family of three and stayed for one night. Our suite was airy, very clean and very well thought out. The lounge area could be closed off to give privacy to the sleeping areas. The toilet was separate from the bathroom which had a lovely walk in shower and bath. Breakfast was very good with plenty of choice, hot and cold. We flew to Luxembourg and got the number 16 bus which stopped very near to the hotel and also the same bus will take you to the centre, it's free to travel on Saturdays. The hotel is in the business area and so it's very quiet at night. I would definitely stay here again when I next visit Luxembourg.
We stayed here about 6 years ago while travelling from the UK to Italy. Our memory is of a very large and well-equipped room with separate beds for our (then) young children. We have always been keen to return but the location has never quite worked as it's too close to Calais to break the journey. However, having had some very mediocre stopover stays in recent years and with the children being too old now to share a sofa bed, we decided that we should book another visit here. We weren't disappointed. Although this time the room had a slightly different layout and wasn't quite as spacious with one of the single beds being just a foot away from the loo door (we had to bribe one of the children to take that bed!), it was every bit as comfortable as we remembered. It's very handy having a little kitchenette and fridge for chilling water bottles overnight and making tea and coffee and the bathroom is amazing! The view from the rooms is just to other blocks but we had a great night's sleep as this is a business area so lovely and quiet at night. We remembered previously the parking being expensive but actually only cost us 10 euros this time, which we were happy to pay for secure underground parking. Equally, the Novotel restaurant that had seemed expensive before worked out reasonable value with the children eating off the children's menu and receiving a discount as a hotel guest. The food was actually excellent and the service very efficient. Overall, we found staff helpful and pleasant and we definitely will return next year as we felt it represented good value and was a welcome relief to have a bit of luxury after a long day on the road.
We stayed here in around Easter holidays and were not disappointed. The rooms are lovely and clean. We had rented a car, so the location was not a problem for us. This place is just a few minutes drive from the old town. The hotel doesn't serve dinner but serves snacks and has a bar where we enjoyed drinks after coming back to hotel after a long, tiring day. A special mention to one of the staff members, Louis, who not only made some special cocktail for us, but always greeted us with smile and was always ready to help/provide information whenever required. He made our stay extra special! Novotel hotel next door serves excellent food, so if you are looking for dinner after coming back to your room, that is the place to go. And oh yes, they also offer free back massage on Thursday evening!
Business travelers, here is what you can expect. If you are expecting important and urgent documents delivered, Novotel makes no guarantees. In spite of my request for them to hold these at the front desk and not deliver them to my room, they claimed to have no record of my urgent delivery even though the delivery company had their signature. I later found out that the front desk had given my documents marked urgent and confidential straight to someone on their staff who delivered them to my room on their schedule. Want to call the front desk from your room? Good luck, they never pick up and the call gets routed straight to an automated wake up call. I returned to my already cleaned room at 5pm. A few minutes, the cleaner knocks and without waiting for a response, immediately enters. The cleaner was not delivering anything and said she just wanted to check if "everything was ok." Why are they entering my room multiple times a day? If these are the types of unprofessional service issues you want to encounter during a high pressure, important business stay, Novotel Suites can make it happen. All travelers, here's what to know before you book: Expect bad service, delivered with a sneer. Pull your door handle UP before pressing down otherwise it won't open and don't expect the front desk to tell you that in advance no matter what time of night you arrive. They will however enjoy seeing you come back downstairs hauling your heavy suitcase behind you to tell them you can't access your room. Oddly shaped room with a toilet smaller than one you might find on an Easy Jet plane. Uncomfortable, hard beds and pillows made out out of what feels more like car seat cushions. My view, skip it--unless everywhere else is booked. Management listen up--refresh your staff's service skills or consider finding them non-customer facing roles.
Room was comfortable, clean, new contemporary style furniture and large enough to fit our family of three. Staffs was friendly , location was close to town centre , walking distance to tourist area and historical site.
My 20 year old son and I visited Luxembourg and shared a suite. It was perfect for us. We both raved about the bathroom, and the shower is the nicest I've ever been in! It has a great in-room bar, ample closet space, and wonderful breakfast.
The hotel is a bit difficult to reach due to road construction . In front of hotel good parking for about 1.50€ per hour. The hotel is clean and friendly . When you enter the breakfast and dining room does look a bit simple but the rooms are really nice. Good place to sit, big bathroom with rain shower and bath , nice small kitchen with microwave and coffee machine ( kitchen build in closet ) . All was very clean. Minus point is the carpet. This looked a bit old and was not every where that clean. The toilet is a bit small. For the rest very good room. The breakfast was good, not super luxe but good. Nice was that you could make fresh orange juice which is quite unique for a hotel. Service is friendly. Tables are a bit simple, looks a bit like a cantina . The distance to the centre is exactly 30 min walk. I would for sure keep this hotel on the list . Ps prices hotel various from 200-240 which is for what I experienced in Luxembourg city a fair price. There are several hotels same price with far les quality .
Stayed in the hotel for about a week. The staff was very friendly and the rooms were spacious but not very luxurious. Location is good if you need to be in the financial district (Kirchberg). Breakfast was very basic and the dinner options are extremely limited. Luckily their sister hotels (Novotel Kirchberg and Sofitel) are next door and have a decent menu. Overall not a bad hotel, but I would have like more options for breakfast and dinner.
One very helpful part of my stay here was to be able to arrange a 5PM checkout for only 20 euros. Hotel policies on late checkouts are a perennial nightmare so thus seemed a very good solution. Rooms are comfortable, the small bar ok for a drink and light snack in the evening and as always the staff make the difference.
