Novotel Luxembourg Kirchberg

The rooms are large and spacious with a gigantic bed, sofa, good sized sitting area and plenty of space to move around but the hotel is about 2.5km from the city center and the only way to walk there is by taking large, somewhat busy streets. You can take a taxi but I always prefer walking and this was a bit too far to easily do that. The hotel breakfast is good but the restaurant for dinner is not great.

Hotel is located in a quiet location outside the main city yet only a few minutes bus ride to the centre. The fort nearby is also worth a visit and you can walk into the city from there. Rooms are nice and spacious. So far so good. However be prepared to wait to check in even if you have already checked in on line. When the key failed to work at the door another long wait. The management needs to either add more personnel or train staff to be more aware of the waiting guests and how to prioritise. Not spending 5 - 10 minutes giving lots of tourist attraction recommendations, restaurant ideas and directions to each guest while over 20 people are lined up all the way back to the main entrance. Without this the hotel merits a satisfactory to good rating. But the wait is one of the longest in a long time in any hotel and unacceptable.

Good hotel like all Novotel hotels, and that is also the problem, all Novotel hotels feel the same. Breakfast was better then average but can be a bit crowded. The beds are better then average but I have had better rooms in this hotel. The water pressure was a bit low and the room was on the ground floor next to the parking lot making it noisy if you want to sleep with the window open.

The rooms are large and clean. Good if you have children, as there is always a double bed and a double sofa bed in each room. Breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety of choices. The gym is clean, but quite small. Only 15mins walk to cinema and shopping mall and a 5 min bus ride away from the city centre.

This is a nice hotel. The rooms are pretty big, and everything is nice and clean. The beds could do with some improvement - as some of colleagues who also stayed here confirmed. It is mostly the friendliness and attentiveness of the staff I have comment on. This could be better in my view - checkin took a long time and some staff members seem uninterested in the guests that are there. I did not experience hospitality. There are good things too: Breakfast (included in the roomprice in my case) was pretty fantastic. Lots of choice and nice products. Dinner too was quite nice. Somewhat off topic - Kirchberg hotels and restaurants seem to be more expensive than downtown.

Staying one night for business in the area. Friendly & professional staff. Rooms were large and well maintained, and the whole hotel was clean. Surprisingly, there was a good atmosphere in the hotel bar and football shown. Can't comment on food. Would stay again if I returned to the area.

Recently had 2 stays of 5 nights each due to business. Location was good for office, around a 25 minute walks down Avenue John F Kennedy but still required a bus trip into the main town centre. The hotel did what it needed to, decent sized rooms, comfy bed. Bar and restaurant staff were friendly but some of the reception staff were a bit hit and miss. Meals were reasonably priced but breakfast at 20 Euros was a little steep - but the again this is an expensive city. If paying my own money would want something better but did what it needed to do for business travel.

The hotel is pleasant, but not in any way luxurious. Functional and somewhat plain, but entirely adequate for business. The room was spacious but the tv was a little small and l of site slightly impaired by the table lamp when trying to catch something from the bathroom area. No face cloths available in the bathroom. Staff were friendly and informative. I would stay again.

Found it to be a typical Novotel, with good service, breakfast and rooms, but nothing outstanding or exceptional. Nothing disappointing either. Very convenient for business, a bit less so for a city break.

Stayed here for 5 nights. On my second night, I requested for a bottle of water because it was not refilled. I was told that I have to pay €4 because only one bottle of water is provided for my entire stay! How is this a 4 star service?!
