A very good value hotel which does the job. The pool is a good size and I used it late at night. Menu is extensive, though the dining area is quite corporate and "on show". Overall, would not dissuade anyone from staying here.
I was very happy with my stay at the hotel. The room was comfortable and offered great services (although the gown and slippers did not fit!) The restaurant offered a lovely breakfast with plenty of options. Being caught up in meetings during the official conference lunch, they happily made arrangements for me to get lunch at the regular restaurant at no extra cost. They organised a shuttle to and from the airport and gave advice on where to eat in the area.
Been here for personal trip. Hotel is located heart of the city. Front desk staff need some improvement in terms of customer centricity.. Food for lunch and dinner spread is good.. Breakfast they have live kitchen and serve indian dishes. Pool and gym is good.. Water ran rut for couple of minutes during summer.
I attended an international business summit at this hotel. Apart from continuous power interruptions, aircons were not adequate. The food was very average and beds not very comfortable. On the bright side staff are friendly and the hotel is clean - as one would expect from a “5 star” facility.
For me, the Taj Pamodzi is simply the best in Lusaka. Great location, unappalled service and awesome amenities. Overall I had a comfortable stay. From the mosquito free rooms, with adequate condition and daily supply of fruits. To the state of the art gym, fantastic breakfast with a variety of choices to the scrumptious buffet. I honestly cant think of a better hotel in Lusaka.
While I have been to various Taj group hotels in India, Srilanka , Zambia returning here is always a pleasure. Be it your experience at checkin where your checkin is done quickly in a relaxed seated manner rather standing at most hotels or your concierge who insist to even carry your small items (Thanks Boniface ) or a comfortable bed for good sleep or your great line up of breakfast, taj stay to its standard of indian hospitality How can I miss CHEF EPHRAIM WESA, who reminds you of chennai through his art of making dosa, he just does it so perfect, I recommend some top hotel chains in Delhi and Mumbai to learn basics of soda making from him, so authentic. The garden , the music, the automatic Ayurveda herbal bath items in your rooms, the serenity, I love this hotel, makes you feel at home after a tiresome business meetings whole day.
A pleasant hotel which is comfortable and welcoming. Rooms are well set out but beware of the step between the bathroom and the living area. Breakfast menu varied and of a high standard. Service lacking though from staff in the restaurant.
Well located in the city centre with beautiful surroundings. All the amenities of a good 5-star hotel. Although getting a bit dated now with a revamp needed soon, the place is still elegant. Evening dining can be a challenge with the service attention. Room service is excellent and recommended over the dining room. Breakfast service can also be challenging.
We were very tired having flown overnight from Heathrow to Johannesburg and the on to Lusaka. The front desk was swift and polite. Our Indian mean at The Steak ‘n Grill was outstanding and we enjoyed the jazz trio. In the morning when we had an early departure they let us use the excellent breakfast buffet ahead of opening time. The room was very comfortable and had complete amenities.
I’ve travelled to various hotels around the UK and thought I knew what great service was until I visited the Taj Pamodzi hotel in Lusaka!!! It’s fantastic! The staff seem very well trained, very polite and they know exactly what their jobs entail. Checking in and out was seemless, the pool was clean with lovely blue water, the rooms were clean and had a safe for valuables... fruit, teas and coffees come as complimentary in each room which I thought was fantastic especially the fruit...(call me easy to please) and rooms with balconies facing the pool and the city of Lusaka as a view. Loved it! Planning to book a family trip soon with the kids and pleased that they have adjoining suites for families! The restaurant served anything you could think of including the local cuisine. Fantastic hotel.
