Beautiful Historic Building on Manistee River Walk

The building was originally Manistee National Bank. The recently renovated apartment is where the Bank offices were originally located. It sits on the Manistee River Walk. The building is centrally located in the downtown Historic District, steps away from local shopping, dining, and entertainment. The deck provides beautiful views of the river where you will see sailboats and charter fishing boats pass by. You may even see a Great Lakes Freighter navigate the river channel. The River Walk makes for a nice stroll down to Lake Michigan.
The renovated apartment is 1500 sq ft, has original hardwood floors and exposed brick walls, 11' ceilings, tons of natural lighting, and a beautiful back deck that overlooks the Manistee River. There are stairs leading up to the apartment from the street (pictured). The rear access is via a spiral staircase (pictured) on the patio that leads down to the lower levels of the building. There is one parking space located behind the building for your use.
The apartment is air-conditioned and features a kitchen and a balcony, and there's space to spread out with 2 bedrooms. Guests can enjoy a Smart TV and stay connected with free WiFi. Other standard amenities include a washing machine, a coffee maker, and an ironing board.

Barry added a holiday touch by having a Christmas tree in his Vrbo. Also, the light was on at the top of the steps, which was a welcoming touch. The variety of coffees was an added touch for the mornings. I considered his place a refuge for me and my family for the weekend. I would stay at this vrbo again when in the area.

We loved staying here! Property was well maintained and very clean. We appreciated the historic character that was maintained, as well as the thoughtful and practical updates. However, the best part was the location. It has beautiful views of the river, which if you are lucky, like we were, you can see one of the very large lake freighters come through. From the back stairs you have direct access to the beautiful riverwalk which connects all the way to 1st Street Beach. The front stairs lead you right to River Street, full of shops, restaurants, a movie theater, museum and galleries. A perfect place if you like being able to walk to many attractions from one location! Our host, Barry, was very responsive and helpful.

This was perfect for our trip to Michigan. Right on the riverwalk and on a historic street with some nice restaurants, coffee places and shops. It was surprisingly quiet and we enjoyed sitting on the balcony at night.

Great place to stay! It was very clean and had beautiful views of the river. It is very spacious and peaceful. There are a lot of stairs so keep that in mind if you have any health issues. Definitely would recommend this property.

Manistee Sleighbell Festival

We had an amazing stay in this beautiful historic building in downtown Manistee. The best part of our stay was watching the Sleighbell Parade from our windows. This place is very spacious and decorated so lovely. We even had a Christmas tree with old fashioned ornaments. The Beds were very comfy, spacious bathroom and huge kitchen with beautiful appliances. We highly recommend staying here. Wonderful host too.

Perfect Location

We absolutely loved our stay. The location was unbeatable downtown and walkable to many local shops, restaurants, coffee shops and more. The view from the back balcony was gorgeous with the river and early fall colors. The host was very accommodating, even allowing us to come back a bit after checkout to change a diaper before we hit the long road home which was so greatly appreciated. The space is very spacious and cozy with beautiful antique furnishings with modern amenities like tv, modern kitchen, etc. If visiting Manistee, this place is a no brainer.
