Burasari Heritage Luang Prabang4.0 out of 5.0

The place is elegant but also quite expensive as it is in general Luang Prabang (for tourists of course). Anyway, the hotel is well situated and the breakfast in acceptable. The hotel is in a quiet street but just 5 minutes walking from the main street.
My sister and I stayed here for 4 nights and I will be back. The room was large and had so much character and charm. Comfortable beds with a balcony view overlooking the Nam Khan River. Free water, beer, and snacks daily. Our package included free breakfast and dinner or massage every day. The spa was fantastic and we had our best massages here during our 2 week trip in Asia. The staff is amazing and spoke great English! John, especially was so great as he gave us a morning market tour before our cooking class with Thai Chef Nom. The food was fantastic and we had so much fun. We were escorted to the Mekong (probably less than 10min walk) where we took a sunset cruise with a glass of wine (included in our room rate package). We were here during the water festival and the hotel even provided us with plastic holders we could wear to protect our valuables from the festivities. I plan to go back to this lovely place!
Convenient location, friendly staff and good food. Hotel is quaint and has a good ambience overall. Mosquitoes are a bit of an issue in the rooms and service is slow, however Luang Prabang in general is a very laid back town as a whole. overall we had a good experience. We were travelling with two young children and there was no extra charge for either accommodating them in the room or breakfast.
The Burasari Heritage hotel is a great little hotel that is well worth the money in Luang Prabang. Their rooms are very comfortable and the property is located in a nice area overlooking the Nam Khan River. The open air dinning room and the lobby area is a great place for breakfast, an afternoon tea or a night cap cognac and cuban cigar if you are not on a budget. What made my trip were the staff who were so polite, accommodating and caring that your visit was enjoyable. Also, I met some wonderful guest staying there as well as I was traveling solo and always enjoyed talking to others to gain a better insight of the people and places in Luang Prabang. Just a few recommendations to the hotel staff, please upgrade your bikes. Also, your evening offerings and lobby bar prices are a bit steep for most people to enjoy. I had a lovely time and would love to come back someday.
The hotel is located in a quite location, yet has easy access to all attractions. The room is nicely furnished with quality components. Staff are polite and well trained. They respond to customer's need promptly. These are all very positive. Here are the negatives. -- The room is somewhat small without a place to sit. The circular shower is small and awkward to use. -- With my booking, it comes with a half board including breakfast and dinner. While the breakfast is adequate, the set menu with the dinner is poor. Very limited selections and small portion (not enough to eat). The hotel refused to give credit if you want to eat somewhere else but allow you to upgrade to a la carte and you pay the difference. The kitchen is a portable type under a tent, not a formal one. The food is average, not particularly exciting. I would say this is the weakest part of the hotel. Get out of the half board if you can during booking so you can try different types of food somewhere else. -- While the staff are polite, sometimes I feel they have a tendency pushing the hotel packages (such as tours,spa,...) and as a result doesn't feel genuine. Originally, I plan to rate the hotel as a 3/5, but because of the prompt customer assistance they provided, I upgraded it to a 4/5.
Firstly this hotel is beautiful to look at and the bedrooms look gorgeous. Practically things are not so good. We had a lovely welcome to the hotel, including a mint towel, and free 5 minute back massage. As has been said by other reviewers the rooms are very dark. We had a room on the ground floor which had 2 windows but both of these windows were overlooked . There was foliage outside the windows so we often had to have the lights on during the day. The bathroom is in the bedroom . We saw the photos before booking and accepted this. Practically its annoying. The shower is a rainshower but it can be directed so it doesn't just fall straight down. The circular shape of the shower means it is awkward to turn the shower on. If you wake up before your partner and want to get ready while they sleep there is no chance in these rooms as you must turn lights on to see and the noise of the shower will wake them. The toilet is separate but has a wooden louvre door so not particularly private. Breakfast is average. There is a limited choice of fruit, cereal from the buffet. The yoghurt is fantastic. there is very little bread choice. The hot meal is selected from a card but most days the potatoes were cold as if they had been sitting there for a long time. The breakfast staff are lovely but as often happens when it is quiet the service is forgetful. The hotel provides dressing gowns - satin rather than cotton . The slippers are rubber flip flops that have clearly been used before and still dirty so we did not use them. We probably would not stay here again. The price is too high for the quality received.
Stayed at Burasari Heritage Hotel after long trip through Vietnam. A brilliant hotel for feeling looked after by genuinely friendly staff. Laos is a very chilled out country and Burasari is that but in addition with great attention to its clients. Highly recommended.
We stayed 4 nights at this gorgeous boutique hotel overlooking the Nam Khan River. It has only 19 rooms but would have to be the best place in Luang Prabang. The staff were friendly and helpful and the location was within walking distance of the Wats and the night market which is one of the best we've seen. Breakfast is buffet, limited but tasty. There are plenty of cafes and restaurants nearby and because of the French influence, yummy baguettes and croissants!!
The hotel is on the main street. It's not cheap but most nice hotels here are not eirher. The staff is very friendly and want to make sure you enjoy your stay. They asked about what we were going to see and made sure to offer suggestions and make arrangements for us to get there
We loved the special touch of welcoming us to the hotel with fresh mint towels, information packet, and that terrific, colorful and refreshing welcome drink. Providing airport transportation both ways was a big help and our drivers were so friendly. The best part of our experience was the impeccable and professional service provided by the entire staff. We ate breakfast and dinner at the hotel for 2 nights and the service was fast and friendly, at all times we felt like royalty. Also, Lan (Somlith Teesengchan) not only provided great customer service at the hotel, but he was also our personal tour guide and butler on our road trip to see the spectacular Kouang Si Waterfall. We cannot say enough good things about Lan, he made the day so special and treated us with kindness, and put up with our American humor. He prepared the most beautiful pic nic lunch and we were the envy of all the other tourists visiting the waterfall that day. We would definitely recommend Burasari Heritage to our friends and family.
