hotel location is perfect. there is car park daily cost to hotel. wifi is free. breakfast is enough. hotels clean. but reception is not sempatic. they dont help to guests to solve problems and not flexible. we booked two rooms and first day we told them that we should leave before a day but they took all charges and not agree early leave from the hotel.
All the basics done well: Rooms are quiet, clean, not too small, good mattresses, good upkeep, modern equipment. Generous and tasty breakfast buffet. Parking available. Didn't try the on site restaurant. Add in genuinely friendly, helpful, knowledgeable service, the central Mönchengladbach location, and the very modest prices (most nights) for your perfect choice in this area.
It's a little above average in terms of the standard but the only complaint would be the elevator. The quality of service was certainly there. The breakfast was good but when the hotel is hosting a conference, I would suggest getting out of bed early. The gym was pretty good. Overall quite satisfied😀
We only stayed one night and a very comfortable night in a well laid out bedroom and good service. The breakfast was very enjoyable. The hotel is a short walk into the town centre. There are a couple of good restaurants across the road from the hotel.
Stayed here 2 nights with friends, both rooms a nice size with plenty of room, clean and tidy, The breakfasts were good with plenty of choice. Location good within easy reach of shops and restaurants, but beware Germany is closed on a Sunday so eating out in the evening is not an option as we found out, the only place open was Mcdonalds, Staff helpful and friendly. .
Good sized room , Helpful staff. Nice and clean, Good value for money. Free WiFi, toiletries included, basic coffee and tea items topped up daily. Only negatives are No fridge or safety deposit box in room.
We have stayed at this Hotel regularly since 1980 when it was a Holiday Inn. It changed hands a couple of times most recently around 3 years ago when it became Leonardo's. We stayed there shortly after the takeover and found the rooms to be filthy. There was even a used takeaway plate behind the net curtain which we spotted straight away. The restaurant was closed and one or two of the new staff were quite surly. We decided not to go back. Last week we thought that we would give them another try because they have now had time to sort themselves out but things were no better. We found a very unpleasant large stain on the bed valance with a similar stain on the carpet beneath. The room felt generally grubby. They have changed the furnishings for very poor quality items with seats that are covered in Vinyl and uncomfortable. The seat in the room obviously had a tear in it and a patch was crudely glued over it. Again we were told that we couldn't use the restaurant because they had a large group in there but to be fair, we were looked after reasonably well by the Bar Tender which redeemed things a bit. There was a new Receptionist who again was a little arrogant but the one that checked us out has been there for years and was excellent as always. The food is good though. Pity because it is a good location for us and we have real history with the Hotel but we are doubtful that we will use it again. The Housekeeping needs serious attention. Wifi barely works. You have to pay for parking when there is a free Municipal Car Park right opposite.
Had a two night stay whilst on business Room size and facilities are excellent WiFi worked well and room to a good clean standard. If management read this please please please do something about your pillows the bed is great but the pillows probably as bad as anything I have ever used. Only downside is the restaurant is currently closed for refurb but every cloud has a silver lining found the best Argentinian Steak House a 10 min walk away. Staff friendly and accommodating and would stay again but will bring my own pillow.
This is our third or fourth visit and it continues to provide excellent accommodation. We like the ease of access and the ample parking. The service here is very good and the rooms are well maintained.
There is a lot to like about this well run Hotel. The rooms are large and very comfortable. The staff are very friendly and efficient. There is a nice park just across the road and it's a short walk to the town centre
