Hawkesbury River Guest House is situated at Lower Portland right on the banks of the beautiful Hawkesbury River. Although you are just over an hour from Sydney, you are a world away from the hustle and bustle of city life, a place where tranquillity and magic reigns.
This beautiful two story guest house offers river views from all rooms, with easy access to our private boat ramp and a jetty available for larger boats. Enjoy on your own private waterfront, which is fantastic to swim and water ski from.
The guest house has all brand new décor.
Pets on application please.
Sheets and towels not included.
Minimum 2 night stay.
Check in is from 2pm and Check out is at 11am

Naturally beautiful property and location. Lovely for us and our dog to have plenty of swims. The guesthouse was very comfortable and had all the facilities and kitchen equipment we needed. Rod the host was friendly and helpful, pointed us in the right direction and then left us to it - perfect!

All was as described. We all loved the quiet and seclusion for a couple of days - we needed some space. Also lots of space so the dog loved it too. Fishing is tough though if u terrible at it (like me). I really liked it, but I do note its not high end fancy.

A lovely getaway from Sydney (in close proximity) that was so good we thought we were hours from civilisation. Had everything we needed for a last minute weekender and the scenery, relaxing surrounds and active fishing made the whole stay leaving us wanting another visit!

Beautiful property & enjoyed our stay. Great facilities & Rod was very accommodating & helpful. Only 2 downfalls was the bathroom is only accessible through the 2nd bedroom downstairs & morning sunlight coming through the skylight which is opposite the king bed.

Amazing getaway

We stayed for 5 nights in January and we can't wait to go back. Rod was so helpful and arranged a baby high chair and baby gate. The kids had a great time swimming, fishing and boating. The firepit was also a hit. Fantastic spot close to Sydney. Would also be lovely in winter with the fire place.

Paradise on the river

Very enjoyable stay - host extremely accomodating and what a spot! Swimming, cricket, football and Rod even lent us his boat. Lovely cafe about 1k away with delicious food. House is beautiful with all amenities - you won’t regret a getaway to this peaceful spot.

Beautiful location on the river

This was a beautiful relaxed spot, easy process to find and check in. Lovely spacious kitchen and wonderful outdoor table and BBQ area. We were 2 families with kids so one stayed upstairs and the other down, it's a bit awkward that you have to go through one of the bedrooms to access the bathroom, and shower and toilet in the same room. The kids loved watching the boats. I highly recommend checking out Paradise Pizza down the road

Fantastic getaway

We booked this location as my young kids were begging me for a fishing trip. This property stood out with its great location by the river. Absolutely magic. Rod greeted us on arrival - even offered us use of his boat but sadly I don’t have a license. He dropped off a stack of firewood too. A great host. A great property.

A relaxing paradise

It was amazing to escape all the stress of everyday life and relax in this cute riverside cottage. Our kids had a ball playing soccer, cricket and using the jetski. It was so convenient having our own private boat ramp to use. Thank you for a lovely stay. We would love to come back oneday.

As awlways it was perfect 👌

We love it here its hard to come home this place is a slice of paradise. We are thankful for the table upstairs and the pantery. The only thing i say is it needs bigger freezer so you dont have to leave to get food from shops and have ice cubs or a ice maker would be awesome thanks to rod he is a really good guy see you all next year
