We stayed in a small room with 2 single beds. The view was of the courtyard and we had a Juliette balcony. The room was clean but the bathroom though clean was in need of a little renovation (caulking was missing from tiles and looked old). There are a few stairs to get to the elevator/lifts, to go to the dining room so if you have difficulty with stairs mention this to front desk (or prior to arriving) to get a convenient room. Staff was friendly and professional. food was plentiful. We were there for 4 nights - the first two nights I would give the food 5 stars but the last 2 days I think the kitchen staff had a shift change because the food was not at its best maybe 4 stars. definitely all staff were great for our length of stay. We were with a tour group and we selected this hotel based on the reviews on trip advisor. Close to St. Josephs gate, a few minutes walk past some souvenir shops. Convenient and comfortable stay
This was my third visit to this hotel. The staff seemed to be hand-picked for their friendliness and courtesy. The food is tasty and plentiful, the rooms are comfortable and clean and the whole atmosphere of the hotel is one of cheerfulness and helpfulness. I was on a pilgrimage organised by Barrhead Travel, Clydebank and it is testament to the great organisation of the travel company that the majority of us were returning pilgrims to this hotel.
I stayed here for four nights in a single room with a huge bed. The view was amazing looking out on to the river. Shower gel was provided and clean towels every day even though I was happy to use them again!! Loved hearing the river as it flowed over some rocks! Double glazed windows...so wasn't audible if window was shut. The food was good and wholesome ...we all ate the same.three courses at lunchtime and three at night. The hotel is about ten mins walk from the Grotto if you walk fast.
The staff was very nice and helpful, there was a group playing piano and singing in the lobby area in the evening which made it really great atmosphere. My room in 4th floor had a great view on the castle and the city. The hotel is located about 5 minutes by walk from La Grotte, so it is easy and convenient to go around. I will definitely go back.
Frances' welcome with such genuine enthusiasm was a lovely way to start our quick visit to Lourdes. Her hotel is conveniently located a short walk from the grotto and Rosary Basilica. The hotel has a welcoming foyer with a bar and our room had a nice view of the street and the town. The breakfast was generous and tea and coffee were brought to the table. There is free wi-fi but we found that it did not work in our room which just meant that we had a reason to have a drink in the bar while checking facebook. The hotel provides disabled access.
We stayed in the Astoria Vatican Hotel in Lourdes> This was our 3rd visit to Lourdes but first time in this Hotel. Very good...good location..very helpful staff..Whatever you ask they do their best...very good meals as well..We will come back for our next visit
My wife stayed here for one night on a tour through Southern France. The hotel was a little difficult to find but that was probably more due to my not having updated my Garmin maps for a while! It's very central and close to all the main points of interest, and some very nice restaurants. The price was very cheap for such a central location in the 'second most popular tourist destination in France after Paris' and while the rooms were a little basic, we had no complaint whatsoever. As other reviewers have said, the staff are great - we had dealings with both Laurence (a lady from Dax) and an Irish lady whose name I've forgotten and they were lovely. My only complaint about Lourdes is it didn't fix my back problems up - could I get a refund based on that?
Lovely hotel run by lovely staff. The reception area is lovely for sitting and having a drink a chat with people. Close enough to the domain. The rooms are a little old and worn but are practical enough. You won't get good rooms unless you go for one of the more expensive hotels. But if like us you don't spend Lin in the room they are clean and functional.
This hotel is a great hotel good location and the rooms are very spacious. I was very satisfied with the hotel but the service was the one that got me. This hotel went above and beyond to make their guest feel like home. They were very helpful and provided a lot of information.
This hotel is very nice, well located for the pilgrimage and they cater for the disabled. The staff were very friendly, polite and helpful. The food is great. We had three course meal for lunch and dinner and on our last meal bottle of wine was serve.
