InterContinental Los Angeles Century City at Beverly Hills4.5 out of 5.0

My stay at the Intercontinental was somewhat disappointing. For a 1st time visiting Beverly Hills, I had no idea how isolated the hotel would be and there was no parking except for the $30/day valet and hourly rate for your guests. Besides the parking, the hotel was nice. The front desk staff however was somewhat pretentious. My bellhop was extraordinarily helpful with finding restaurants and things to do in the city.
One of the best properties in LA to stay at for business.
We had business in Century City--on the Avenue of the Stars--so this hotel was conveniently located. There are also places to eat nearby and a photography gallery with exhibits that are engaging. It is a safe place to walk and there are open spaces to sit, read, and relax. The hotel itself is lovely. The driveway entering is small and crowded and I had to be careful not to clip other cars, but the attendants were polite, the bellhop was quick to unload the car and take our luggage. The lobby is hospitable. The concierge is always available and gave us good advice. The staff was very friendly. There is a free car service to go to nearby appointments, restaurants, etc. The price was a bit high even considering the excellent location and service. The parking fee seems excessive. The hotel restaurant was very good but I thought $9.00 for oatmeal was a bit too high as were the rest of the breakfast choices. The room was nice too, but I would hardly call it a good value. To be fair everything in the neighborhood seemed a bit expensive, so if I had business in Century City I might well stay at this hotel again.
