this was my first visit to the InterContinental in Century City. Service was excellent and very attentive. from the car valets to the front desk trainee. Location was perfect for my customers and for a side trip to Malibu.
I had an excellent experience at this hotel. The staff was uniformly helpful (especially Rosie who helped me find an iced latte within walking distance!). I was there on business and spent an entire day in the room (actually on the terrace!) working and ordered from room service several times during my stay. The choices were varied , with many helpful options, the food came quickly and the room service staff was exceptionally friendly and courteous. The hotel even sent me in a car (a Tesla!) to my meeting the next morning. I would definitely stay here again.
The experience at Intercontinental Hotels is usually good, in my experience, and this was no exception. The hotel is in a great location close to Hollywood and Beverly Hills. We were able to Uber to Santa Monica pier and that was just 15 minutes away on Friday afternoon. The food inside the hotel is great, and the bar is accessible in the morning for coffee. Staff was very attentive and friendly, and there's a VIP lounge available if you're a member of the Ambassador program.
Well located if you have business in Century City. Within walking distance of the Mall. Rooms have balconies. Clean. A few small details are showing their age. I paid $257 per night before taxes. Taxi ride to/from LAX to this hotel is about $50 including tip.
The entire experience during my most recent visit to the Intercontinental, Avenue of the Stars, was exemplary from start to finish. The property operates at a rhythm and tempo to suit every guest's needs and delivers world class service, effortlessly. The Housekeeper who attended to my room each day was super friendly; the check-in personnel remembered me from my previous visit several weeks prior and the dining personnel were discreet and attentive. Well done all around.
The hotel was well run with excellent service and my hotel room was very clean. I had a very nice view from my room and had a positive time there. The pool is heated and reasonably sized for some lap swimming but also with a nice shallow end for kids. The outdoor hot tub was also a plus. Parking is expensive at $38/day but area tends to have expensive parking.
Love this hotel!! Service was friendly and attentive. Rooms very clean - ask for one with a view of LA. Beds super comfortable and large TVs. Bathrooms need to Be updated and Lobby in the evening is deserted. But the location is terrific!
My husband and I were in LA for a meeting at the convention center and also to do some local sight seeing. The hotel was mostly pleasing, but a few things were disappointing. First and foremost the staff were ALL helpful, pleasant and amazing! For such a large hotel this was so nice to see and have. It is a very large hotel so the elevator situation is high tech and at times confusing, but help everywhere makes it work. The gym was flat out AMAZING!!! Very clean and any & every piece of equipment you could want. We were in a room for the club level and the food and ambience there was very nice and good. Our room....The floor we were on was quiet, the room was immaculate. The bed was not the most comfortable and the bathroom....well, we did not understand that design AT ALL. There are lights all over the room, including 3 light options in the bathroom. There is a separate space for the toilet, but oddly enough you couldn't use it without turning ALL the lights on in the bathroom. The shower was wonderful and there was a soaking tub. All this being said there was nothing separating that part of the bathroom, but a half frosted glass wall! SO, when you turned ANY light on in the bathroom, even the night light, it illuminated the whole room. This would be fine if you were staying by yourself in the room or you don't mind LOTS of light (even the side of the bed lights up) everywhere. I am an early riser & my husband is not, so this whole thing really didn't work for us. Not sure what the thought process was for that design, but probably would not stay there again because of it. Parking was expensive, but typical for a large city. Our car was always there on time and attendants were great. So, many nice things about this hotel with just a few things that didn't really work for us.
Great customer service and beautiful room! We enjoyed the outdoor heaters while waiting for our Uber drivers since we visited California during one of their cold snaps. I definitely recommend The Intercontinental, this was my first stay at this hotel and Intercontinental.
This was my first time at Intercontinental and boy was it good! The food was amazing! Great service and awesome ambience. I highly recommend staying here if you're visiting LA. The balcony view is a treat. The only thing missing I felt was in-room jacuzzi which would make it a perfect stay for honeymoon couples <3
