Great home & great location

This was our first staying using Vrbo & we were very happy with the choice we made of staying at this home. Communication with home owner was wonderful, check in was easy, home was inviting & spacious. Location to Universal Studios & Hollywood was great. Waking up with the view of the backyard pool was like being at our own resort. Would highly recommend to others & would return if we came back to California.

House with all the space

We stayed here toward the end of our trip. I was a perfect home for our family of six.Unfortunately we werent able to use the pool due to prior guest failing to take care proper care but the kids were wiped out. Plenty of space for all of us to eat, sleep, and play. Kitchen was great to cook in and beds were very cozy.

Absolutely Charming

What a pleasure to work with Mike and Julie. Their home is absolutely lovely. They could not have been more welcoming or made us feel more at home than they did. Communication was excellent. Highly recommend this home.

Fantastic vacation home near Universal Studios

We absolutely enjoyed our stay at Mike and Julie's vacation home. The home itself is beautifully decorated, clean and comfortable. Beautiful pool with hot tub in private backyard. They even have a bench swing on the tree in the front yard! My family of 4 (myself, husband and 2 kids ages 10 and 12) came to visit Universal Studios which is super close by. We also brought our dog which was great because the property even came equipped with a doggy door! We thouroughy enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back if in the area again. I highly recommend!

This is my dream home:)

This home was just perfect for our family of 4! The hosts Mike and Julie were extremely responsive and accommodating, and the check in/check out process was seamless. The pool and backyard were our boys’ favorite amenity, and the house is very spacious, modern, well equipped with supplies and household products, and clean. You can tell the owners take great care in maintaining this property. We will most definitely come back to this house for our next LA trip!

10/10 Amazing Staycation

Mike and Julie were amazing hosts who accommodated my family last minute after another listing fell through. I booked with Mike and Julie for a staycation for my mother’s 50th birthday. We enjoyed spending time together in the pool and the jacuzzi, as well as cooking in the gorgeous bright kitchen (which was a huge highlight of the trip!). The home is extremely clean, spacious, and well-designed — my mother was so happy and didn’t want to leave! My only regret is not booking more days in this lovely space. I highly recommend this place to any family looking for a beautiful place to rest and relax in the LA area!

Lovely house in great neighborhood

The house is really nice, exactly like the photos. Very clean, comfy beds and couch, and the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. The neighborhood was so lovely — very peaceful, great sidewalks, and not much traffic. A wonderful retreat near all the fun things the city has to offer.

Great location, comfortable and clean!

We really enjoyed our stay. The house is beautifully furnished and the beds and couch were very comfy. The description was spot on. Pool is nice and private and there’s a lovely outdoor patio to relax on. If you are looking for a little oasis conveniently located near the city and all the sites, this is the place! Great home in a lovely neighborhood.

I stayed in the home for a solo trip away, however the space is set up well for groups. The place is very comfortable, and the neighborhood is lovely. Close to stores and freeways. Highly recommend.

fabulous LA getaway

We had a perfect time at this house. It was exactly as advertised, maybe bigger than expected. As a family of 5 with kids 4-17, space is essential. The neighborhood was safe and quiet. It was a 15 min from Universal, 30 (on saturday) from the airport. It was about an hour from Disney after rush hour. The pool was lovely and a hit with the kids. We were able to drive a short distance for family hiking and great views. We would definitely stay here again.

Pleasant Stay

Beautiful house, it looks just like the pictures. It is in a quiet neighborhood, we had our dog with us and enjoyed taking walk around the area. They were very communicative and we enjoyed our stay. We would definitely return!!

Hosts not so charming

I had uncomfortable text interactions with the co-hosts Mike and Julie. To preface my review, I was traveling with my 2 children, ages 9 and 10 years. The booking lists it sleeps 4. To be respectful, and this may have been where I went wrong, I asked if I could let my sister stay also. My sister then asked if she could bring her 2 and 5 year olds, which I again inquired the owners about. The point being, I asked first. Mike/Julie proceed to send me VERY long texts, clearly worried that I’m going to break their rules and destroy their house. I didn’t want any trouble, so I told my sister she could not stay over and tried to reassure the owners that I’d take care of their house. Mike/Julie then sent a text stating that I’d have to pay if my sister and kids came over during the day, even if they DON’T stay the night. They said they’ve had years of experience, and these are their rules. Wow. I’ve never had anyone charge me for entertaining a few people during the day. I’ve heard of VRBO owners cancelling last minute or claiming damages, so I again, not wanting any trouble, I agreed to pay the extra fee per extra persons per nights reserved (which as not insignificant). Since they were charging me anyway, I told my sister she could stay overnight if she’d like. If I could cancel and get a refund to make other arrangements, I would have but this all happened 2 days before check-in and I’m travelling with children, coming from out of state. I just wanted to see my family and tried not to let these two ruin my special trip for my kids but they definitely cast a shadow leading up to it. The home itself was adequate. It had some nice touches and beds were comfortable. Sofa and decorative pillows need to be cleaned. Pool is small but clean and good for small kids (who they don’t really want on property). There are far too many beautiful homes to choose from to have to deal with disagreeable hosts. I felt discriminated against for having children. This should have been a relatively minor misunderstanding but who knows what more they would have done if I didn’t try to diffuse and appease them. I’d pass on this one…you may get them on a good day but the risk for added stress on what should be your nice getaway is not worth it at their price point.
