Scam

We tried to check in, but the host would not respond. Finally, he called us at about 10 PM and said the property wasn’t usable for plumbing issues and tried to send us to another property 20 miles away. We declined and asked for a refund and got a nearby hotel as it was late and we had a baby with us. He said he would issue a refund and never did we attempted to call VRBO and filed The complaint asking for a refund. It’s been three days now and no reply. Stay away from this guy, he’s a scammer.

Stay No Stay

I booked this property after canceling my initial reservation due to a bad review. This due to the host canceling without notice and claiming a plumbing issue.I have never had an issue with a VRBO booking however I should have known better when I was unable to contact the host either by message via the app or by phone (on my own and with VRBO support). I finally did reach the host 3 days before check in via telephone and was told my check in information would be sent via the VRBO app. It never was.When we landed on Friday, I contacted the host via telephone. He said he call me right back. He did not. When we arrived at the property address, I called him back. He told me we couldn't stay at the property. When pressed, he said someone just checked out and there was a problem - a plumbing problem. He then asked me if we needed to stay in Pasadena - which of course we did. He tried to offer me a second property for the same price in Irvine. I may not live in California but I have spent enough time there to know that is an hour away on a good day. I then requested an immediate refund which to his credit he did provide. At 4:30 pm on a Friday - a day before a large festival - we had to find a hotel in a city where 83% of the hotels were booked.

Great location

We needed an extended stay as our house was being repaired. This location was perfect for us close to home and work. And it gave us another living experience in Pasadena. It’s walkable to many cafes and restaurants.We found the condo clean and welcoming. The pets loved it too. The neighborhood is friendly, we got to interact with fun locals as well as our dog got to make new BFFs. Our host was great very helpful and I’ll always be grateful for it. We cared for the place like it was our own. For future guests I say enjoy your stay
