Friendly, welcoming, helpful staff on the front desk when checking in late on Friday and checking queries on Saturday night. He went above and beyond celebrating my daughter's competition success on Saturday with a wee chocolate treat too. Made her stay even more special. Lovely breakfast too.

The staff were so lovely and really helpful. Location is excellent. Derry itself is a walkable city. Parking in the shopping centre across the street was expensive. Kaboodle being on site was so handy. Our room was a bit small for 3 adults plus luggage but the bathroom was a good size.

The room was a decent size, was very clean and modern and was perfectly placed for central Derry, the train station and the Derry Halloween festival. The breakfast is also good - the food was a good quality and there were plenty of options. The only issue was the heavily advertised ability to stream content via chromecast to the room’s TV. This wasn’t working and when I phoned reception, they said they would look into it but, ultimately, didn’t do anything about it. It wasn’t a major issue but did make us feel that our complaint / request had effectively been ignored.

Avoid nights when the nightclub is open

Hotel was ok. Good location. But we stayed over a Saturday night and there is a club in the Kaboodle bar attached to the hotel. The music was ridiculously loud even though we were two floors up, and went on until 1am. We didn't get any sleep until it was finished. Wouldn't stay again over a weekend.
