Local landmarks include St. Bartholomew the Great, a church that dates back to the 12th century, and the even more ancient Charterhouse, where you can view artifacts and even take a guided tour of the premises. Farringdon's nightlife scene includes pubs, nightclubs, and chic cocktail bars, making it an ideal place to see and be seen. There are also plenty of cafes and restaurants to ensure you never go hungry. Farringdon is served by the London Underground's Circle, Hammersmith & City, and Metropolitan lines as well as Farringdon Station, with local and regional train service.
