We arrived to the property and it hadn’t been cleaned from previous guest. It was filthy. Contacted owner and a young man showed up to clean 15 mins later. It was extremely uncomfortable and inconvenient as we had to get quickly dressed and out the door for an engagement. There was no option for a quick shower as it was filthy and the cleaner was there. We left and returned to a somewhat clean apartment. There was still garbage on the floor, food left in the refrigerator, and mold all over the base of the shower. The carpet in general was littered with stains.
The property manager said they would bring by a bottle of wine as a gesture of kindness due to the apartment being unclean upon checkin…this was never delivered.
Another major inconvenience we had was the following day…while operating the drier…which takes a full 4 hrs (2 cycles) to dry clothes. We needed to stop the drier to get my wife’s sweater out. We called the number. A man answered and said his wife would call back in 5 mins with instructions. I explained the urgency as we had to leave in 10 mins. The husband said not to worry. The wife called 22 mins later. Meanwhile we had to leave and purchase a sweater on the way to our engagement.
Overall, we operate two vacation rentals in SW Florida. I can not recommend this property. Maybe if you are young party people and just go there to pass out. But the apartment is also on the ground level and hot at night due to no AC …which made sleep hard.
